In this video we lost count of 20+ inch speckled trout fishing these two lures on the pamlico sound. We had an incredible day of speckled trout fishing on the pamlico sound! The day we were fishing the Pamlico Sound the Speckled Trout were eating artificial lures incredibly well! Hope you enjoy our speckled trout video!

All fish were caught between 6-12 feet of water

Looks Like the Breakwater? one thing that’s not natural to me as a Bass guy is fishing in the middle of nowhere ? wa there bottom structure ? great video !

Sometimes there is good bottom structure other times it could be staging area. Very similar to large mouth, small mouth and spotted bass when fishing offshore for them. You could be in the middle of the lake deep cranking or fishing a shaker head in 30 feet.

Do you guys have a lot of Speckled Trout get fin rot after netting them like we see in California with Halibut?

Also, do they become easier pretty for the dolphins? In CA there's some anecdotal evidence that Halibut with fin rot were easier for SeaLions to eat. I'm starting to dislike Flipper after moving to FL.

I have never seen them get fin rot but they do get eaten by dolphins when the water gets called
