People don't give business owners enough slack. Yes, they make amazing money (even after taxes). Some would consider them rich. Some are undoubtedly well off. But business owners pay more taxes than regular folk and wealthy business owners even more. There's self employment tax, there's unemployment tax per employee you have which amounts up to 7k per employee, there's federal income tax, and depending on the state, state income tax. If your business handles certain chemicals or causes pollution(like logistics company with trucks) to some extent there's an excise tax. Since most businesses are LLC's the companies aren't taxed because whatever money is made is "passed through" to its members aka owners. It hurts writing hundred thousand dollar checks when you've worked so hard for that money. When you risked everything and worked incredibly hard to build something most people are too afraid or are uninterested in building only money from that ripped away in those amounts? Every needs to pay taxes I understand that very well. It's how you fund the operation of a country. All I ask is that you'd give business owners slack. I'm stressed just thinking about it.
