I enjoyed your content. I also was self Started with things I had around the house after I moved. I packed items that I had in my home that was not still new in package and never used in 3-6 months. I also started my reselling business with all I had as well as used a lot of the packing supplies I had from the moving company. All the best on your new business. I've been a very part time reseller since 2019 but I've taken it more seriously since the fall, about $6k in sales total. I bought a chrome-colored male clothing mannequin torso 4-5 years ago and am finally using it to start take clothing photos like I meant to when I first bought it. If I were you I'd be sure to list every day (the algorithm really likes this) and try to get some regularity to your sales before investing in more inventory. Sourcing is fun, but I'm just now coming to appreciate the fact that I can declutter our family home filled with generations of stuff "for free." From all of the reselling RU-vidrs I've watched clothing looks like the way to go. It's usually light, easy to pack, doesn't break and you can store a good amount of inventory in a fairly small space.
Just finished my first year of reselling. I also work full-time. 800 items sold $28,000 in sales. I was self funded by selling my own stuff. Nothing out of pocket. Keep it up!
You remind me of myself when I started last December!! Great job on your presentation!! I'm still working on where to find affordable shipping supplies. I've had some luck with Temu and my husband goes around to grocery stores for boxes.
Yup I do what your friend does. And I find Thrifted items never from Goodwill because they are five dollars apiece, but only from thrift stores that are for a good cause and that have a sale. That way I don’t ever spend more than 2 to 3 dollars apiece on an item.
