Seeing as we saw Andy Williams, and people are requesting Mr Sandman how about a version of Mr Sandman that many people haven't heard before ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-31cNBqK7tqw.html But seriously, they should react to the Chordettes classic version
This is one of the great girl groups from the 50's. Their 2 biggest hits were "Lollipop" & "Mr. Sandman". But they had other good songs such as "Never On A Sunday", "Eddie My Love", "Born To Be With You", "Lay Down Your Arms" & "Just Between You & Me" etc.
Hey , Shawn and Mel , I just want to say thank you for playing all the good real music of my youth - and I want to say how nice it is to see a young couple so much in love 💕 I lost the love of my life a long time ago and I'll never see her again this side of Heaven - so live , love and be happy 💕💕💕
I've never seen this video before, so I never knew that it was Andy Williams doing the pop sound. Glad you like all these oldies. We still love them too.
One of my favorites. I was a teenager in the 50's. The music was the best. I have been blessed to enjoy music from the late 40's up to and including the music of today. Love it all! Great reaction.
My mom used to sing a song to me with my nickname to this tune as a kid so this has always had a special place in my heart. I was so proud at like 7 when I figured out how to make the pop sound.
In the 70’s I had an aunt who sang in Sweet Adeline competitions. When we would go it would be half a day of ladies singing in this style and half a day of men doing Barbershop Quartets. Not something I would do every day but fun way to spend a cold Saturday in Nebraska.
oH my goodness. I was in 5th grade when I heard this one, along with Who were short shorts, Bt the Royal teens. Another one in that time, To know him is to love him By The Teddy Bears and I love how you love me. By The Paris sisters. Sorry I ran all the way home, By The Impalas. It is so hard to stop calling them out! LOL
You don't realize how much GREAT music there was in the '40s and '50s, hope you will take a journey through those periods. Lollipop was out in 1958 when I was 11, their "Mr.Sandman" came out in 1954 when I was 7 and that is when I fell in love with the Chordettes!
This TV performance appears to have taken place on “The Andy Williams Show” during the first season in 1962-63, shortly before the group broke up in 1963. Williams did the popping sound effect for this TV performance.
You HAVE TO HEAR the Paris Sisters! They do “Dream lover from the woman’s view. Darrin did it fast, but they did it more as a Ballad, and I love their cover far more than the original. I still love the original, but their blend of 4 voices just turn me into pudding!!!!! Watch the video that does 2 of their top songs back to back. It was I believe from American Bandstand.
The 50's had the Doo-Wop down pat. Have you ever listened to the Andrew Sisters? A decade earlier, during the war years but sort of similar group of all ladies. Peace, Love!
Lol I always thought they were a black group! Tables turned on me for once. My older sister was a teenager when this song came out. I was a little kid. Those times remind me of my sister’s white leather purse. She wrote hearts ♥️ on it with blue ink and it smelled of juicy fruit gum. Lol. Very sophisticated!
Popular song from the 50’s! The guy doing the popping is Andy Williams a very popular singer from the 60’s 70’s & 80’s, and he had a weekly tv show where he invited many of the era singers! At the end the two young fellows next to the ladies were The Everly Brothers! I think you have reacted to Andy & the Everly Brothers 💫💎🥰
I just found your channel! I love it and I'm binging your videos. Have you done "Little Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs? It is so fun. Howl, I mean baaa
The man in the video who makes the popping sound with his finger in his mouth is Andy Williams. He is one of the smoothest, gifted singers of all time. Check him out singing :Moon River , or More or Theme From Love Story.
At first I thought it might have been the Williams Brothers because I was watching on a TV across the room and the picture was small but it is the Everlys and Andy Williams. I can't tell who was sitting at the piano.
Hi Shawn and Mel! This is your new subscriber from Down Under! Thanks so much for reacting to this! Could you possibly react to My boy Lollipop by Little Millie please? Stay safe! Peace and blessings from Australia.
❤️🥰❤️ Hello S & M SQUAD, HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!! ☃️❄️🎄⭐️ Hold up! Hold up! Hold up! I’ve ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG . . . and NEVER EVER KNEW it was Andy Williams Making the “POP” sound!!! I am FLABBERGASTED!!! 😀😃😄😁😆😂🤣 ⭐️🔥🔥🔥 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 B R A V O C o r d e t t e s!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🔥🔥🔥 ⭐️ ❤️🥰❤️ S and M SQUAD IS THE BEST!!! ❤️🥰❤️
Girl group power on the Andy Williams show! Phil and Don Everly providing the clapping! The Chordettes were a force to be reckoned with! And it was Huckleberry Cherry or Lime! Not rye!
I like these ladies just like you guys! Please try Moon River, Dear Heart, Born Free(also Matt Monro's version), Almost There, Can't Get UsedTo Losing You,.......by Andy Williams. Thank you so much!
She LOOOVES her lollipop. This is another song called "Lollipop". It is an updated version by Alexandra Stan ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nfDAbsj72aI.html
Yes, the flavors, it's "Huckleberry, cherry or LIME' (not "rye") which rhymes with "mine" in the next line. WHO ever heard of a rye lollipop flavor!! LOL!!
