Alastor may have to work around that, since Charlie has started repairing her relationship with her father. He can't afford to lose her good grace, it seems.

It would be a shame if Lucifer was killed or incapacitated

In his hotel ad at the beginning of Episode 1, he wrote, "No Tacky Circus Decor," which I'm assume is a reference to Lucifer's aesthetic. He definitely has a history with him, but Lucifer doesn't seem to be aware of it.

But when it comes to television or Lucifer he starts to lose his cool and I find it hilarious.

Just wanted to add to this discussion. Alastor seems so Cool because he has a method for maintaining the facade of control. He seems based on the personality disorder narcissism or more likely closeted narcissism. This is my opinion though, not sure if this stacks up to others. He uses charisma, a smile and the idea that he can maintain his composure while riling up others to boost his ego. I love alastor, and narcissists are not inherently bad, nor is anyone with a personality disorder.
