I wrote this song for our fans. Since it’s a fan song, it didn’t really feel like working but it’s a song that contains how I feel and how I love our fans. There were some things that RM hyung said during concert. He said “ if it’s you who found us and acknowledged us, you can do it too” I started this song based on these words. It’s a song that tells, if you are tired and weary from reality, you open the door inside your mind and there will be Magic Shop and inside of it, there will be 7 of us who’ll give that strength for you. I wrote this to dedicate to our fans. It would make us very happy if a lot of people gain strength and be comforted through our song. When you feel tired and down, please visit Magic Shop. Cause it's always supposed to be something like you gave me strength, love so I'll give you or do the same foryou. But later I understood. Just like jungkook said in the beginning that I won't say something obvious like have strength. What I personally understood is that if you can make us love ourselves, gave us our best versions you can love yourself too. They want to tell us that we are capable of loving ourselves. We can ourselves find our best versions. We are strong enough to do that. That's what I think it means. And it's beautiful. It's different. They're not casually saying things like we'll make you happy or anything they're saying we're capable and we can do it.
totally agree. it's not those cliche words when they try to actually strengthen us. They try to let us trust in ourselves that we are capable of bringing the best of ourselves too. and the part where bts and armys sing to each other, "So show me (I'll show you)" this was very smart of BTS. They actually made us part of the song and involve ourselves to sing back to them that we can do it. we will show you that that we can do it too.

You were confused when namjoon said "i told you that we'd win" it's a reference to his tweet way back in early 2015 where he tweeted "me and you will eventually win". That twt was made on May 15, 2015 if you wanna check it yourselves. i think galaxy means *your heart* and magic shop is the place where you can exhange your pain into your happiness. "When I hate being myself, when i just want to disappear forever, I opened the door and there I was in your heart. If you open that door and come in, I'll be waiting for you there" It's like they're saying that we loved and believed in them so much, they are in our hearts, but still we don't love ourselves. They're saying that they will wait inside our hearts until we learned to love ourselves.

*theory!!!* In Fake Love MV teaser, they showed the magic shop, where in bts storyline, they gave the items that have caused them pain to the owner, and in exhange, they got the items that made them happy. so maybe, they're exchanging their pain bc they want happiness. bts wants us to forget our sad memories and turn it into happy memories.

idk if anyone explained this already, but the Magic Shop is actually inside every army's heart, where BTS are, ( Jin in the beginning said that when he hated himself and wanted to disappear he found himself in our heart) so that's where metaphorically where BTS and army meet, drink a cup of warm tea and look up the galaxy ( aka chill and escape life's anxieties and pressure). the whole song is beautiful and the cherry on top is the You give me the best of me so YOU'LL give you the best of you, I love how they still didn't make us depend on them for our own happiness and for loving ourselves.

Guys, since the translation is a bit off, let me translate it myself for a better understanding of this song: 2:14 it’s rather “At times I hate being myself, and at times I just want to disappear forever, let’s make a door in your heart” and it continues to 2:22 “and as you open that door and go inside, this place (referring to the ‘Magic Shop’) will be waiting for you. Trust me, it’s the magic shop that will comfort you” So basically, BTS wants Armys to make an imaginary room within their hearts where whenever Armys feel depressed and hate themselves (like in the lyrics 2:14) can imagine themselves opening the door to the magic shop within their heart and try to comfort themselves. starting 3:18, this portrays what BTS wants Army to do after entering the imaginary magic shop within Army’s heart. “Take a cup of warm tea, then look up to the galaxy. Everything’s gonna be okay, this place is a magic shop”. this just show how much BTS wants Armys to have a safe place within their hearts so that whenever they feel depressed, just try to make a room for yourself within the heart and just think to yourself that once you enter that room, everything is fine, everything will turn out fine, it’s okay to feel good. comfort yourself, cause this place is a magic shop” and actually according to a psychiatrist who reacted to this song said that it one of the recommendation that doctors give to their patients that one way to try to feel better is trying to make an imaginary (or can be an actual) place and set it as a room to comfort yourself in there no matter what. (I think) He wants every moment of BTS to be as beautiful as flowers, and wish even at times they may fall in the future, it be a beautiful fall and have it as a beautiful part of their lives-much like a sunset, not a fall i think! 8:16 right after the lyrics, You gave me the best of me so you’ll give you the best of you, it translate like this: “You were the one that found me, you were the one who recognized/acknowledged me.” then it continues, ‘you gave me the best of me so you’ll give you the best of you’ and then in 9:35 “You will eventually find it too, the galaxy within you.” this part is just crazy. It really shows how much BTS appreciates ARMYs and how much they, too, want to be a comfort to Armys. Here’s why. Like the RM’s rap verse in 1:24 “I couldn’t trust myself, if I could actually win.” and then he says, “I was just here, and it was you (armys) who came to me.” and then in 1:51, “At the end of my despair, remember, that I found you. You are the last reason when I was standing at the end of the cliff. Live.” What BTS is trying to tell the Armys is that when times where they themselves weren’t sure if they would win, when they were at the end of the cliff (having no hope to move on) Armys were the reason they were able to get up again and not give up at all. So referring back again, “you gave me the best of me so you’ll give you the best of you” here BTS is encouraging the Armys that even when BTS themselves weren’t sure of themselves, armys had the power and the energy to give the best of themselves (BTS), so ARMYS they will have the power and energy to give the best of themselves (ARMYS) too. again the lyrics, “ You were the one that found me, you were the one who recognized/acknowledged me.” “You will eventually find it too, the galaxy within you.” It really shows how BTS believes Armys are powerful enough and have the strength to get up live the best of their lives. I really love the way BTS gives comfort. It is not just like a toxic positivity where you just say, “well its gonna be okay, have strength. you’ll be alright.” Rather, they give courage to Armys by saying that you were the ones that brought us up to this point, so i believe that you have the strength to bring yourselves up too. And they mention it specifically that it was armys that they made them stand up and again and move on, just like how V & JK starts the introduction of the story of this song by singing 1:10, “I’m not just going to say such cliche words like ‘have strength.’ let me just tell you my story” Sorry for such a long comment. As an english-speaking Korean Army, sometimes it’s just too sad that not all BTS lyrics are translated as it should be. The lyricism they have is really on point when it’s in Korean, but the translation cannot deliver the whole vibe and the meaning as much.
