As toxic as I sometimes view the community, this gives me hope and assurance that it's actually pretty wholesome too! What a play! And they were absolute legends about it too.
Today i did my first legend of the Veil in open crew with a ocean crawler clothes guy that was trolling the entire time but in the end i sold all the loot including the Chest of Legends.
I don't play the game, but what looks like is happening is exploiting a weird quirk of the game engine. The harpoon gun stabs stuff then reels it in so you can pick it up. But it looks like if you interrupt the reeling in process with gunfire, the stabbed object detaches from the harpoon but keeps it's inherited motion. So it stays moving until it hits something - in this case the ship behind. And because it's a barrel of gunpowder, it's doesn't like that very much and explodes. It's basically an improvised catapult.
40:54 what in the devil. The name of the ship just change. Fisrt it was "the silly goose" then it turned into "slaughter to prevail" then it turned again into "the silly goose". What is this bug
@@IamGreen112 pretty sure not using the harpoon for its intended purpose is an exploit because it’s not supposed to happen like that… and taking advantage of that is exactly what an exploit is.
@@humve50 If it's not supposed to happen, then Rare should fix it. I'm pretty sure reload animation cancelling (with double tapping X or sprinting) is an exploit too and shouldn't be in the game, but it is, and ridiculous double-tapping while double-gunning exists only because of that.
@@humve50 So you're saying that if you detatched a harpoon from something it was reeling in it would immediately lose all momentum? I don't think that's right at all. Now let me ask you something. Do you think using the sword lunge/hop to glide through water is an exploit? Because that's not its intended purpose at all.
