Ok, I’ve been having fever dreams about a candy I can’t find and nobody in my family remembers it existing. The candy itself wasn’t special, to my memory it was something akin to Swedish fish (maybe it was something similar or maybe it was actually Swedish fish) but it came in a plastic box similar in style to a sardine can (you know, had that “key” like thing to peel off the top sheet of metal) The candy cane in a plastic box like that with a “key” that opens a sliding plastic lid. As a kid this was a fun candy to open and doubled as a place to store stuff later that (with the mind of a child) I thought only I could open since only I had the key. If you can remake this I would love it, or better yet maybe someone in the comments can find this candy and link it because I really want to see it again and prove I’m not crazy.
i live in the U.S. and when i go to Cracker Barrel where i live i see them almost every time in the little candy area thats why im a bit confused why they said its so hard to find them.
I'd love to see you guys make giant root beer barrels those would seem fun for you guys to make like make the candy then put it in a mold cause idk how it be formed ??? I feel like that would be a great video I'd love to see :)
a tiny bit of butter would have kept them shiny, plus waxed paper would have been perfect and to place them, you should have held the piping bag still about an inch from the paper aiming directly straight down and just squeezed.. the icing would have squeezed out and spread out in a perfect low dome exactly like the dots.
