Eurovision is my passion. Eurovision was my work and I am still gladly part of the professional community of this project. I started at Eurovision 2016 as Czech Head of Delegation. Such a Eurovision story! Form Eurovision in Sweden I went to antoher ESC experience. Kiiv 2017 Eurovision. This was my first and last failiur. Sometimes you need to learn trough losing even it is not plasant. We ended up 13 in the semifinal, second best score of Eurovision Czechia back then. But after this we established ESCZ national selection format. It was mostly held online. Because of this we found Mikolas Josef who went 6th at Eurovision 2018 in Portugal. Than 11th with Lake Malawi, at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Eurovision story is crazy. After finding all candidates and songs (-1) for ESCZ 2020 I resigned and left the television for working freelance.
Not to stop being part of Eurovision, I created this channel as I have an urge not to do just Eurovision Reactions from a different perspective. But also to do national selection reactions, watch others how they do their craft and also give a different approach for Eurovision fans.
I am very glad was part of many eurovision juries. Mostly in national selection and since 2017 I was in MGP Norway, Eurovision Malta, UMK national selection Finland. Juror in Melodifestivalen 2016. Biggest national selection. Also helped Eurovision Ireland, Eurovision Estonia, Eurovision Azerbaijan and many others.

I feel I have to say something about France: Slimane is charismatic and has a great vocal and the ending was a real “moment” - showcasing his voice. I wasn’t crazy about the hand movements and it was a bit cheesy. The outfit and hair I liked. I didn’t like the camera going around to show the audience - it was too long and it didn’t contribute anything because when that movement was done, it seemed Slimane started at the same place. So I wasn’t sure what was the point. The main point I wanted to communicate is that as a French speaker, the lyrics are at kindergarten level. Sorry… that’s how I feel. “I love you, I don’t know why, I replay the scene…” “Do you love me or not?” “Tell me where, I'll wait for you And if you don't come, I'll wait for you” He or she are not coming! What are you waiting for lol Come on. Lyrics could have been sophisticated but unfortunately they were not. But great vocal 😁

The staging of the Italian song, in my opinion, did NOT focus on the performer the way it did in the San Remo final. Which is likely why it only got to #7 and not #3 or #4 in the grand final. Firstly, adding the dancers was a mistake. There were so many female singers with dancers and this song is so unique. Adding the dancers made Italy join that huge group of other songs with female singers surrounded by dancers. Why??? The other thing was that the outfits were busy with lines and on top of it they put lines on the LED floor and lines on the background screens. So instead of focusing on the song and the performance, first time listeners were distracted. Italy was one of my top favorites and I feel that the staging hurt them :( They did improve the costumes for the grand final but it wasn’t enough. The dancers and all the lines on the graphics were still there. Oh well, #7 is pretty good. I just think Italy was originally a major contender for the win.

I think it would be so much fun if Eli would react to the dresses in Eurovision throughout the years. Maybe pick a year from each decade (the sixties, seventies, eighties and so on untill now) and look at the evolution of fashion in Eurovision throughout the years. So happy that Latvia made it and broke their non qualification streak. France and Israel made me feel emotional. Very well done by Slimane, Eden and both their teams.

Can we say, they really do an amazing job in malmö! So much fun to watch this year. And whoever is responsable for the cinematography and camera direction, knocks it out this time! Every act looks amazing- its a feast for the eyes seriously. I cant remember an ESC that was so appealing visually like this one. That makes it up for the weak songs we have this year.

Yes. I am from Sweden and I am a bit ashamed of the demonstrations etc here. Most swedes are balanced and normal, it's sad that the extreme people always take up a lot of space and are easily fooled by false propaganda. Most swedes stand with Israel in the latest developments, but also a lot of swedes just wants PEACE and forgets of who done what.

Love you 2 together...I am a theatre director and really enjoy disecting stagings....song from Greece is a wrong song to do one shot camera work....the beat of the song and rythm is intended to do quick intentional shots and editing....for example Nemo's song would be perfect for one shot camera work...nice job from both of you...hpe you do this thing regulary...

Musti - the party was over before it even began… But the time the party finally got going, everyone already left. 😬 This was a good studio track- the ending, at least. But as a live performance, it was not good. I wasn’t THAT shocked it didn’t qualify.

There were a lot of greeks being bitter with Cyprus before the semi-final on docial media.Criticizing Silia for her voice, dance moves, staging is too simple and dark , generic song, comparing it to the greek entry of not being unique.But as we see with a good directing, interesting led visuals and good camera angles how you can uplift a song and elevate the performance.

The colours in the background for Greece were cold. The video had warm reds, oranges and yellows. Also, the microphone/sounded weak at the very beginning and the beat was too overpowering throughout.

What do you think of Israel's jump in the betting odds? Is it even technically possible that really Italian TV revealed the results, because I don't want to believe it wasn't intentional because there must have been graphics/animation ready... anyway, it helped a lot to jump in the ods. Otherwise, what Greece and the Netherlands did towards Israel at the press conference is probably better no comment... as they probably don't realise that enough people will not vote for them and especially the votes from Israel, which they will need, may decide the winner

@@trickexp If you ask me, I think both Czech & Poland should leave. Why not? Like leaving a bad company. Leave and then can come back when esc has improved. Our region is totally uninterested in esc. It is obvious! In my city if you say the word "Eurovision" people will think it's a mental illness, a hair cream or a dish from another country lol 👍👍

So to your first question - we all saw the performance, that is top 5 this year. And supported by fact, that protesters are extreme as crazy and creating a buzz of how many they are, contra reaction came and silent majority has a say. Its that simple. People who calls for non-political Eurovision are once again made it political, classics. To the second - it can happen, in Czech TV you never know if they'll continue. Times when we secured a projects for 2years in a row are probably gone but would be a shame. I think they just need to do some refreshments, rly set up what they want to do and then do it properly on every level.

Very sad for Mustii, he deserved to go to the final. Everyone deserved it but not Armenia nor Estonia, sorry that was great for a kidsshow but not for an adult eurosong. I couldn't care about the staging or anything, just joke entries. You could say well also for the Netherlands, but there is still the contrast between fun and a strong message at the end although the staging was disappointing for me, sorry the neighbours. The song for France is about a break up 😉Sorry for Aiko too. About your question : staging or dress lessons.....I like both hahaha 👍👍

That's it. Israel, stunning! There is nothing to lie about, by far the best song and singer in this year's esc. 👍👍👍. That must be the jury winner on Saturday and certainly top 5 in televote. 👏. Fully understandable about Belgium's fail. The guy murdered the song, my ears collapsed. And that type of song must have a singer. 😞. Besides that, Czech & San Marino clearly the worst tonight, that's it.

I kinda agree. Just dont think Czechia and San Marino were clearly the worst. They just werent good enough. Agree with Israel, alongside Slimane, that was a top of the night

I also think that Czechia was quite good, simply not good enough, and people didn’t like that song from the beginning, from months ago (it got a very low score on the Eurovision World website). San Marino - I had such high hopes for them after seeing glimpses of their performance. But when I saw the full performance at the semi final, it was super disappointing and it was clear they wouldn’t qualify. Latvia - I think they qualified because enough people DO like that song (I don’t) and Dons sings well and particularly that emotional moment he had at the end was very touching and made more people vote. Belgium was likely one of the worst. Way worse than Czechia. Denmark was ok. The song is simply not strong enough and the sand staging was too on the nose. It’s a song about a relationship, not a sand 🤦🏻‍♂️ If I had to choose the absolute two worst of the night, it would be San Marino and Albania. Why Albania? The song is not terrible and she sings it well. But it’s not a good song. And the staging has zero to do with the song, didn’t tell a story, didn’t evoke any emotion in the viewer. It was simply boring and unmemorable. And when you need to make people vote for you, the most dangerous thing is to be forgettable. So I’d say Albania and San Marino, followed by Belgium. Malta was robbed lol. The song is not great but Sara Bennici is a kickass performer and that dancing was insane. What a feat performance. 🙌

@@JanBors i don't think it was borderline though. You have to understand this has become viral in many countries beforehand, countries mainly with similar culture. You have to examine these things in the next eurovision. Even if marina wasn't good vocally due to sickness, even if she went out and just whispered the song wearing old man panties and a tall hat, people would vote for her. You and your lovely partener give too much attention in staging and clothwear

but we dont criticise the song or so... dont take it personally. And clothes and staging comments - it is our real profession, so we are of course focusing on those things :) I am a director, staged 2018 and 2019 Czechia f.e. and Eli is a professional stylist for movies and tv shows...
