We had the SAME schedule! I was SO looking forward to Tuesday at 3:45! We did ALL things turkey and Thanksgiving! Good times were had by all! So I just wanted to say that I came upon your vlogs during a very tough time this year, when my mom was very sick. I basically had to wait every morning before work for news on rather or not she had a chance of making it through each day. I was in charge of caring for her puppy, so each morning before work I would make myself play with him and train him, and to distract myself while I waited for the daily call about how she was doing I would play your vlogs in the background. The vlogs I watched first were during last school year when you were struggling, contemplating quitting teaching, and battling negativity and a lot of backlash because of it. And all that time I just thought...how amazing is it that here's a genuine person, trying to help people and being totally honest about how she feels and how stressed out she is. In a weird way it just made me feel not alone, because we all have struggles we have to get through every day. It was nice seeing someone so open about that. Watching through your vlogs became one positive constant in my life I could look forward to during a very rough time. Quite honestly I think even my dog got used to your videos and liked when I played them, lol! Fast forward to now, and my mom's better and we're trying to help build her strength, energy, and get back to "normal". Recently I was both blessed and cursed with a big promotion to management at my job, that at times I dunno if I'm ready for. I don't teach, but somehow while dealing with job stress I still always think back to your vlogs, and the chaos you've dealt with while just trying to help these kids learn, grow, and ultimate have a safe place they can come to every day. Frankly your vlogs make me feel like I can accomplish anything. That my problems at work are nothing! So when I'm super stressed I go back to them, and at the least I'm reminded that it's okay to be stressed and honest of how you feel- and at the end of the day we, as humans, are built to be strong enough to find ways to overcome that stress. I just wanted to tell you thank you- your vlogs reach people in more ways than you know! It makes me happy to see you happy and doing well, in a place where it seems like you belong :)

The Tuesday before thanksgiving our whole grade (6th grade) we watched wonder at the movie theater. For summer homework we had to read the book and plan a essay!!

I took my fourth graders to see Wonder last week too. We loved it!

I am not sure how I found your channel but I really liked it and your passion for teaching. Even though I don't plan on teaching I still find your channel fun to watch. It gets me reminiscing on my friend and I playing school all the time. Although when I was younger I did want to be a teacher but being in college now I am still not sure what I want to do. Wonder was a great movie...a good lesson to be learned too. My real joy came when my 11 year old grandson Luke said " I loved the movie nana, but the book was better!" I am surprised he even read the book. I feel so blessed. Maybe he is growing up LOL

I saw wonder for a Field trip and one with my family it is amazing

I loved the idea with the wigwams! I may have to work that out next year with my preschool class. I think they might be able to pull it off. I get so many great ideas from your videos! I implement many things in my own classroom. Even though my children are much younger. I can always make it work. I also loved that you suggested using those Stikki Clips. I will hang stuff up on Friday and come in on Monday with it ALL ON THE FLOOR. Just humidity or moisture in the brick walls. Not to mention, the building is as old as Methuselah. And I am OCD. When hanging them up, I arrange all their papers in a particular order. I have a certain number on this side, a certain number going this way and a certain number on top. Everything must be symmetrical. It's a disease. I really think it is killing me slowly and making me old before my time. Haha I hope you had a great Thanksgiving filled with yummy things to eat!

Adding to my previous comment...we also had a two day school week for Thanksgiving and I agree, most activities are fun activities. I absolutely love the Thanksgiving dinner Math activity! I also LOVE Really Good Stuff! That should’ve been my “R” for my Thankful Teacher A-Z video, but that’s ok. Please consider doing a future video where you go over how you pull small groups for math. Would love to see how you do that. Also, your cheese dip looks delish! So awesome how you did an outside “field trip” with your students and their parents. I agree...the movie was wonderful but I prefer the book too. Our fourth graders will see it on Dec. 14 as a school field trip. Thank you so much for always being you.

I don't know if this applies to Maryland, but in California if you are a teacher or a school administrator and you buy things for your class room such as paper, pencils, etc you can get a tax deduction on whatever you bought. If you haven't done this, and applies to your state, please try this!! I hope this helps.
