Coming from someone who loves organic instruments on their own music and have begun incorporating synths recently, I partly agree with this. I believe the word you mean is SOUL.
Way too much reliance on pre made samples. I know they're incorporating other stuff as well, but nothing feels taylor made, it feels slapped together skilfully. This is why i love Kenny beats' beat. He crafts them from scratch, everything is there to serve what came before, not dragging and dropping and calling it good enough.
That's kinda the tradeoff for making music for artist. The artist has to provide the majority of personality. They won't pick a beat that is too complicated.
Before you guys comment it’s lacking something, have you thought of saying what can be improved upon? There are multiple people watching tutorials at different skill levels, your comment might be the one to help them.
There is idea for new videos. Get mixing challanges like those who you make with beats. Write a song, record it, then 4,5,6 people etc mix it in their own way. So at the end the referee or all of you decide which of your mixes sounds the best. I think its a good idea. :) ❤❤❤
I miss the days where these producers made beats showing their viewers VSTs and come up with things from scratch. Nowadays they only promote their synth banks stacking pre made layers/phrases and shit and calling it a day …
