I worked at in n out for 5 years. They make the grilled cheese by sticking the cheese directly on the grill and when in melts about 15-30 sec in they put the bun directly on the cheese slice and slide it off without a spatula. They also don’t add butter or oil to anything, including the grilled onion. The cheese on fries is melted by sticking the fries with cheese on top in a steamer. You missed out on trying their chili peppers!! They will make anything you want in whatever order as long as it doesn’t exceed 4 meats and 4 cheeses and meat doesn’t go on the fries. Also the order of ingredients are always bottom bun, sauce, tomato, lettuce, meat, cheese, onion, top bun unless you add or take an ingredient off when ordering it may be on top of the onion.
Because of you “Sam The Cooking Guy” they now carry the Japanese Mayo at my local Walmart in Gaylord Michigan. I was so excited to see it in my local store so thank you for always promoting your special spread!!! 💙💙
Being aTexan I was skeptical of IN-N-OUT when they came to Texas, however they have became my favorite fast food burger. My dog Dyson also loves them. We do not eat often because we do the smash burgers at home. Love the content keep up the great work and thank you for your time....
Try doing “fries well” next. That just means the fries are fried twice and come out extra crispy. I personally prefer a 3x3 animal style protein style with grilled onions and, if it’s available, chopped chilies. Animal style fries well and an Arnold Palmer drink. If I’m still feeling frisky, a Flying Dutchman with the whole grilled onion and a side of spread. Thank you gents and cheers!!!
It's a shame that they don't do a lot of secret items anymore. I used to work at In-N-Out back in the late 90's & I actually saw a 50x50 served once for a baseball team who ordered it (why did they not order 25 Double-Doubles is a question I asked at the time, but whatever....) They also used to give you something called Cheez-its which is basically the scrapings of the burnt cheese from the grill onto your burger, but lately I've asked for it and they haven't given it to me. But in a nutshell, the secret menu is basically anything that you can think about that can be made with their ingredients.
Never had In-N-Out. Not a big traveler and I’ve mostly been to states around me. I live in East US. However, they are bringing In-N-Out to my state finally so hopefully I’ll get to try it. Idk how long away that’ll be but eventually I’ll finally get to try it. They recently brought Wataburger here and I got to try it. It was pretty good. Definitely had better but it was good.
I used to get the 6x6 all the time, god I miss that burger. It used to come like a normal double double (lettuce, tomato, raw onion) You had the option for animal style etc.
Sam, have you made fried(or air fried) pickles? Or, fried jalapeño slices? I tried using a fresh jalapeño sliced today but my flour, egg and pinko didn’t adhere like I needed. Turned out OK with some ranch. I bet you could do excellent. Or have you already made them?
You missed the best part, double double with extra cheese/grilled onions and two sides of spread in a separate bag to keep it cold with extra extra extra well done fries. Mhmmm getting it for lunch tomorrow.
I’m in the north east but went to in and out many times when I had a stint living in Texas. Their employees, and quality of food for fast food was always the best!
I love this episode. I grew up in the country in PA. No fast food. Zero. My college roommates took me to McDonald's my freshman year in DC. I thought I could order Cole slaw with my hamburger and French fries. I'm sure my roommates thought that it was a sociology moment. 😅
I don't understand the hype behind In & Out. I was excited to try it, but nothing stuck out. I love a good burger, but what I had there had me craving more.
Loved this. Subscribed. But you forgot the standard Animal Style burger which is all I ever order. Loved the grilled onions and the mustard grilled patty.
Hey Sam! Thanks so much for the video! I was crushing some McD's while watching and think I missed something. I heard that you spent $57 for the food at In and Out, but, you didn't say how much the ingredients cost to do it at home. While I'm not an economist, I'm guessing it's a LOT more. Regardless, have a great one! ;)
Great video...we miss the long live cast videos and are so disappointed when the videos are short. We were excited to watch when we saw this longer one. You guys never disappoint. 🙂
We have a restaurant here that makes a 1lb pugger. That a 1lb patty, all the dressings, bacon, cheese and garlic sauce that I’d love to see you guys make!!!
My guess for the grilled cheese is they have a "salamander". Imagine an oven that has an open front and a grill in the bottom and is only used for broiling.....pretty much your torch in a larger scale appliance, mounted above the grill or flattop at eye level up in the exhaust hood. P.s....."animal style" needs PICKLES 😉
Im torn... love the simplicity of in-n-out but two things i wish they had (1) bacon and (2) egg... side note that veggie burger + animal style burger = 1 regular burger
IM ALLERGIC TO RED MEAT!! This is a new thing for me from a tick bite. I've been watching your channel for years. Can you do an episode on Emu steaks or Ostrich? I'm thinking about buying some. I cant have dairy either.
Finally had in n out last January in Palm Springs and Tucson. YUM! No stores in Winnipeg or the rest of Canada. Great concept, short menu so can’t F it up! Great service. Love your channel guys!
Howya from F***N Ireland!☘ Would love to see a video making tasty "Sam The Cooking Guy" creations using ingredients from around the world (Starting with Irish😄)
What people don't understand about the prices is that you don't get a ton of meat. McDonalds uses 1.6 Oz patties whereas In-N-Out uses 2.0 Oz patties. That's fine and all, but they they load it up with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to give the illusion that you're getting a lot for your money. I like In-N-Out, but the perception of the place being "cheap" to eat at doesn't really hold water.
I think one ingredient you missed on some of the animal style items you made was the dill pickle. I've been eating In 'n' Out for over 65 years. I know what Animal Style is, but good job. You hit a good one with the Flying Dutchman with Grilled Onions.
@@RPE-Official I didn't say I've been eating animal style for over 65 years. I've been eating In ;n; Out for over 65 years. So much for your Big Lie, but nice research of the animal style.
Unfortunately no In & Out in the UK. The last time I visited San Diego & the rest of California was 25 years ago. But even then I didn’t get to try one. 😢 Might just have to give these recipes a go to find out what I’ve been missing. Great video Sam, Max & Chance. Love all you guys ❤️🖖
Been cutting down on sodium so doing protein style hamburger, no salt and they’re still surprisingly good. One of the only fast food orders that have low sodium when ordered that way
Dammit Sam.. animal style comes with pickles.. you forgot the pickles 😩😩😩 still love you though brother! Now you need to do another In-N-Out video for us!
I do like IN-N-OUT, but when they came to Austin they tore down one of the best restaurants in town to replace it with a hamburger restaurant. Golden Wok was a fabulous restaurant and as good as it is, IN-N-OUT just does not compare.
Ok Sam us who live in northeast Ohio right on Lake Erie have never had an In and Out burger. But my opinion they aren’t as good as Whataburger. But that’s only by looks. You on the other hand make some of the best looking burgers out there
I’m in New Orleans there’s no in and out here. Closest would be sams recipes. So I never had it from in and out tho. The closest location to here is in Dallas Texas lol
You guys are mad laughing out loud really love definitely if you're not with it you know what I mean this all this looks delicious here in Florida we don't have it in and out or shake shack or none of that
