I've never found buffet biscuits and gravy to be worth eating. It needs to be a true sausage gravy with scratch made biscuits. Like you get in an American diner. Or like my husband makes. I guarantee, Ben would not have "mixed feelings" if he had my husband's biscuits and gravy in his mouth! 😁
We eat them in the mountain west also! They are the best! Theybhave to be homemade though, the canned biscuits and canned gravy aren't worth the cans they are stored in.

One of the best things we did in St. Maarten was hire a taxi driver for the whole day. Drove us to both sides, gave us the history of the island and took us to a local place for lunch. All for less than a ship excursion.

I sailed on a Royal Caribbean cruise several years ago. I forget the name of the ship, but I LOVE Royal Caribbean compared to another cruise I took on Holland America ages ago. Of all the islands we visited on the RC cruise, St. Maarten was my favourite port of call! You two make me want to book another cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean Odyssey (and have you both as my traveling companions)(I'll have to play and win the Lottery for that one, I think!). I really enjoyed your videos of gadding about - it brought back many memories. Thanks so much!
Oh yall had me laughing so hard at your confusion on american food! Just for reference.... our biscuits are soft and fluffy bread in a circle. Gravy made with water is brown, gravy made with milk is white. White gravy is a southern united states thing. Biscuits and gravy are a big thing here. I hope you loved it!! Pork sausage can be crumbled into white gravy or not. Gives it a great flavor!! I love you guys!

My sister and i just returned from the MSC Seashore cruise to Cozemul Caaman Island Jamaica and The man made Island of Caye.... our first cruise.... we made lots ofmistakes. I ADORE YOU TWO!!!!! Odyssey is a beautiful ship!! She actually looks larger on the inside than she looks on the outside. I was on her the week before Super Bowl, stateroom 11156. Our stateroom Stuart Mr. Wendell was awesome!!! The waiters & bartenders in the casino was wonder also. What an awesome time my husband and I had!!

Funny story, when I was 26 I went on a cruise with my best friend. We were always trying to make the most of the trip so we’d wait till the last few minutes before getting back on the ship (looking back I’m like 😬). Our last stop was the princess cruises private island which was a tender port, so of course we took the very last tender back to the ship. I believe we were the only passengers, the rest of the tender was full of ship staff, including security. They let us know we’d been two of the last 5 people to get back on the ship at every port and had been giving them heart attacks all week! 😅😎😳😬

My favorite island!!!! We always go to the beach right off the ship. 2 chairs, an umbrella and bucket of beer for $25. Great way to spend the day. We are not shoppers but do splurge for a massage from one of the fine ladies on the beach. We are leaving in April for transatlantic cruise on the Edge. We have cancelled 3 trips since COVID so you are getting me excited for our return to travel.
