I’d like to imagine Nintendo taking the servers down for a maintenance break to prevent a lot more errors, was just one Nintendo executive really interested in seeing if this was possible, and just their version of helping a little
Its pretty bad PR to make a promise and fail to uphold it, so ultimately yeah, Nintendo does have stake in keeping the game “going” as long as they’ve said they will

150 consecutive frame-perfect jumps. Whenever I hear about the concept of "frame perfect" I assume I'm misunderstanding something because how on earth is that possible lol. Keep up the good work!
There's a geometry dash level named "tidal wave" which is the hardest verified level in the game and has over 200 frame perfects. And only ONE person has ever beaten it. Granted, there's a bunch of other tech that's ridiculously hard in the level while the mm level is merely a consistency challenge, but still.
Based on my calculations to meet the deadline if 2500 levels are left and there are 63 days left when this video was published, about 40 levels per day need to be completed to meet the deadline.
Now that there's definitely no levels that are easy enough for me to clear, I'm glad I got 5 first-clears in before the new year so that once we clear everything, I can say I contributed!
That yoshi 10 second key coin puzzle looks really interesting and I can't wait to see how that ends up being cleared, also I will feel bad for the person who going to grind that water precision level like my god.

I have a bit of kaizo experience but I'm not amazing. How can I find some levels on the discord that are "easy" (in the sense of not requiring a 100 hour grind)?
I think there is material full of the levels with the least number of attempts, those should be the easier ones. Good luck. I just checked and what i was talking about is in the other resources channel in the smm1 group.
Multiple people cite Fly's levels alone as evidence we'll fail. Is there a reason you're more confident they'll be cleared? Are they not as unrivaledly hard as some people are saying?
In Bloom is a tough level, but it's very doable to somebody familiar with the tech in it. It wasn't a super hard clear check for me. King Boo said he plans on doing it and he's more than capable of dealing with it in a reasonable time frame. My other level mentioned in this video, Yoshi Mountain, was actually cleared this morning, go figure.
@@EarthBound_Fan Yes, but we don't consider them to be real levels. Team 0% also beat 2019 in SMM2 but there are two impossible 2019 levels that Nintendo refuses to delete. But 2019 is still considered to be defeated in that game. Similarly, SMM1 will be considered defeated even if some impossible levels are still up.
wow that looks fun to be a part of. seems like all the levels left are too difficult for me to even try at. I don't even think i have any kaizo trick timings still in my brain from 8 years ago.
I've been following this somewhat closely, and this is amazing. Don't give up ! There might be mostly hard levels left but so far you've cheaped down the amount of uncleared levels so much, i'm sure it can be done !
If nothing else, Team 0%'s existance is shining the light on SO many amazing Kaizo levels made by unknown people from ages ago who never got the exposure they deserved. Even if ultimate victory isn't achieved, that's an accomplishment in and of itself. I wish you all the best of luck, particularly against Choco, Destroyer of Worlds.
Had no idea there was a group of people willing to spend hours upon hours of there life’s just to complete all the Mario maker levels uploaded until now. Huge respect to you guys keep up the good work and I hope you finish the goal
Can someone please explain to me as if I were a child, (not tech savvy) why can't some random guy or group of people host the MM1 servers ? I've heard it only costs Nintendo $20 a month. I'm assuming that's hyperbole but someone or some group of people should be able to host a server, No !?! I just think it's kind of sad that to this day and for hundreds of years to come you can, and people still do play the original Mario bros game, but as of April Mario Maker 1 will just be erased from history and the future.
The server software is not publicly available. It is theoretically possible to reverse engineer (recreate) it, and some crazy people will probably do it, like with some Wii software. But the levels will probably be gone then, except if someone downloads and stores all of them before the official servers shut down…

I would think that would be impossible, I mean 1, the time it would take and 2, just the facility to store that much. Just seems sad to me some of the pixel art I've seen is amazing to me, I'd want to preserve the game for that alone. Then you've got the music levels, All the world records information it's all just gonna be lost into the ether. It's depressing thinking about it.
Pretendo has intentions to! Theyve cureently done a screenshot of every level on the servers ans made it playable on their servers for when the time comes. Despite that we intend to complete mario maker before the deadline
So I don't mean to discredit the absolutely impressive amount of skill and dedication that's going into this project, but is there anything stopping us from just utilizing a TAS of some kind to clear some of the more impossible levels? Not saying it should be utilized, I'm just genuinely curious about it
Our goal is to the get a legitimate human clear on each level. Hacking, TASing, etc. doesn’t count towards that goal, and just makes our bookkeeping harder. No cheating allowed.
The impossible levels are impossible even with TAS. They use retroactively patched glitches that are no longer possible so the levels cannot be completed and the levels are considered void by the team.
I kinda hope Nintendo taking the time to fix the servers means they are paying attention to this stuff and may actually be like ready to like give a lil nudge such as extending the deadline if push comes to shove.
I tried browsing the list looking for some garbage to clean up, but I couldn't find anything in my skill level. Seems like there are only super hard levels left. I found one that I could maybe do if I grinded for days.

I don't know for sure, but you could maybe find it if you can search by clear ratio (0.0%) and then tags (puzzle)? Otherwise hopefully someone can answer. Edit: I just saw that the Yoshi 10s was reportedly cleared recently? So we don't have to worry after all.
Shoot man thats what error 106 was? I was hoping to grind out a ton of levels during the break, but i literally thought i had ruined my disc or something XD food luck on this! We're so close to doing it!
I got close on ev_brak's puzzle level called "Mouse Trap" but couldn't figure out what to do after the key door. That was years ago and now I've forgotten the beginning as well lol
I really really hope that there is no uncleared levels left back yeah i played it i think i got about 500 first clears so i am happy to know i atleasted helped in this but now with the levels that are left i dont think i can help anymore than i have
Unfortunately I didn’t manage to play any levels in the earlier stages,and now their all much beyond my skill level. If team 0% ever comes back for Mario maker 2 Il probably be able to get some done.
as an Australian, I'm interested in the 3 Australian levels, and if any have been cleared in the past few days. I what the last Australian level will be, and especially what the last level will be, who made it and what country
If we determine someone to have hacked or cheated even one level (i.e. through impossible record times, suspicious player stats, etc.), all of their clears are invalidated.
@Zionn426 fair, I'm rooting for the 0% team but with how many long accepted records are recently being exposed as cheated (minecraft and pokemon speedruns come to mind) it would be a real shame to find out one of the clears is cheated after it's impossible to go back and clear it legit
