Great place for that price! My mums in sozopol is similar being on the 3rd floor, with lots of glass, it's like a solarium in there even in winter, and we've also put in big sliding doors on our property for this very reason, saved loads of money on heating!
We thought the same, but never thought we could afford the kind of property we wanted. Hopefully some very exciting news coming on this channel next week. Just started following yours! Stay in touch 😊👍🏼
Evening buddy, I’m from Sheffield UK. Just started subscribing as I’m really liking some of your videos. I myself am looking to move over to Bulgaria within the next 12 months and or, possibly start renting beforehand. My uncle has purchased a property in Vidin and hoping to fully transition very soon. I currently work as a property maintenance business owner her in the UK, but I would love to transfer that across, I can see there’s obviously lots of buildings that need renovations and various jobs doing. Would it be possible for an English guy to find work fairly easily with the go do attitude?? If you can give any advice, hints or tips, this would be possible.? Great vids and hope you reach the dream soon. 😊
Hey 😊 Thanks for commenting. I strongly believe there are so many business opportunities out here for westerners. I don't know Vidin well, but my first thoughts are that you'd find your feet quicker near one of the bigger towns of cities, somewhere with tourism perhaps. I think your first step has to be learning the language. I came here many years ago with no money and and zero language skills. Very quickly I had to learn to communicate and that was such a good thing.
Thanks for quick reply. Yeah i totally get that. This is a very high priority, learning some basics and hope to be getting to grips with it soon as i can. Having lived previously abroad, I know the urgency of learning the language fairly quickly.😅 what’s your line of work? and the rough province you live in? You are obviously on the east coast. Are you in Varna? Or another big city?
@@ace1rtp we've been flipping property and teaching English online most recently. This year we want to open a few guest cabins, start an organic chilli farm and try to grow this channel as a source of income. We've just moved and now we're south of Burgas 😊👍🏼
That's a lovely flat. It would be great for me as a single person except for the stairs. I've never lived in a flat, but people I know who do often have problems with noisy neighbours. "Noisy" means very different things to different people! Sound insulation would seem to me to be the most important thing in a flat. Not all builders seem to recognise that. Passive heating is great in winter, but not so good in summer. Thanks for the video as always.
You are not stupid bace of many BULGARIANS living in your country like a rats 2 or 3 in a small room and you pick up and benefit of best of Bulgaria.is it feir I don't think so obviously you are smarter than BULGARIANS making them working in the rat race in UK and you have this beautiful escape
We lived in two different apartments in two different towns for a few months and had no issues with noise at all. One was modern and fairly newly constructed, the other was an older vintage.
Great value! Would be interest to see how you earn a living in Bulgaria. My partner is Bulgarian and I often dream about moving there to work. But as an Englishman I would struggle to think of what my options are. Any future videos on such a topic would be appreciated!
Bro, you would have NO trouble finding a job in Bulgaria especially as an English man. A lot of the customer service in the UK is exported to Bulgaria. Apply to the biggest call centers like Telus and 60K. They will take you right away you can even work from home. Salary is between around 750euro for normal projects similar to Takeaway or if you do IT first tier like internet just telling your English grandma to turn off the router and takin her address for the technician to come. They take salary around 1000euro. If you have 0 experience they give 1-3months paid training full salary too. There is also 100-200 lev(50-100euro)food stamps, sports gym cards zoomba and paid taxi vouchers for night shift if you work from office. Some provide computer and headset. There is plenty in Sofia(crappy to live in), Povdiv(great 2 hours away from Sofia)and 1-2 in Varna or Bourgas(on the sea so great to live in😂)as a native English speaker you can negotiate HR will want you and they can raise the salary for you bc of taxes you will pay. If your partner is Bulgarian pester for them to search jobs.bg with you. BTW if you speak 2nd language liks German or French your salary reaches 1200-1500euro around 2800lev enough to live without any worries at all or think when using your bank account. The jobs.bg site is in English too. Good luck mate. I think your partner just might not want to go back there😂 at least permanently. Bulgaria is great amazing even to live in IF you have a good job and the money. Thats why so many Europeans have summer homes there. 🏡
400 Levs is pretty reasonable. One of the reasons why it is so warm is because heat rises to the top, so the heat from below flats might be helping to keep it warm, if there are people downstairs. You are becoming pretty nomadic these days ....lol
Hi Can you please share where you found this property for rent ? We will be buying somewhere probably end of the year nov time or just after xmas , but wouldnt mind renting for a few months first for a real taste of life before buying . Thanks , great content as always 😊
We asked around a few agents but it was all quite formal and more expensive with fees added on. We actually ended up just driving around calling up numbers written on the side of different rental apartments.
@@alternativelivingbulgaria that would definitely result in the best deal . Same as house hunting , getting out there speaking to owners or mayors was my best idea . Thanks for replying though lovely new pad for a few months
This isn’t what I’m looking for. Do you ever get projects with land? I’m after something with as much land as I can. We have horses and a small holding. We are moving in 10 days. We want as rural as possible as we have dogs that bark. I don’t want to upset neighbours 😊
We'll be selling our house on the edge of the village soon. The plot only measures 1300m2 but there's an additional 5000m2 + that can be incorporated by purchasing the surrounding properties. Message us on Facebook or Instagram if interested. Links in the video description.
It's all holiday homes. Mostly Bulgarian owned and they just have no interest in this place except for about 3 or 4 months of the year. We had an agent around yesterday photographing the apartment below us. It's almost identical to ours. It will be listed for €75,000 and is expected to sell very quickly.
@@shug831 ok that's weird! I had no idea that was even a thing. I'll look into that now. I know there's a "super thanks" tab you can click to support us by donating whatever you feel. Perhaps you clicked that by mistake. I'll check.
