You are indeed the best ones out there on youtube....u guys are real and honest....i hope the whole world gets to see you guys coz u r the best and u deserve it :)
I feel like Alexis is gonna pick up German super quickly if she keeps being so motivated as she is now. At least her Prost and tschüss always sound super german. You don't have that typical rhotic "r" sound when you speak german, which seems very difficult for most North American people to lose. Awesome! Also, you're super schön
I’m so happy for you 😍! And I feel exactly like you Alexis, about how you can really and truly be yourself in Berlin, there‘s less judging there and people generally are very open minded, at least from my experience.
Welcome to Berlin! You both look kind of familiar. Could it be that I saw you somewhere in Wedding? Good luck learning German! I never had any lessons except for the ones in highschool long ago, but trying to just speak German with my boyfriend (and everyone else) made me speak German almost fluently within less than a year. I told everyone to please correct my mistakes and I have also learned a lot from watching German TV and Amazon movies/series with subtitles turned on. I'm from the Netherlands, so I guess for me it was a bit easier as it will be for you, as Dutch is closer to German (but still so much different than most people think!). Wishing you both all the best in Berlin!
It's excited that you guys find a long-term place in Berlin. I am moving to Wedding for long-term contract. Do you guys have any pocket list for restaurants or cafes in Wedding? It would be nice if there is a v-blog of your new apartment!
I am si glad you are doing so well and smoothly moving forward. Congratulations on your accomplishments! Also, which camera are you using to vlog? That tiny camera looks so handy.
Uhhh we moved at the same time to the same city ! Also been here for a month :)) i lovee it ( i moved because i wanted to go to artschool here ) and the self finding things is so so true !!!
+Willian Schenkel We actually made a video comparing the two countries and which is better for what, it’s called canada vs getmany which couiis better or something like that, go check it out :)
cooles Video! auch wenn ich nicht weit weg von Berlin wohne, finde ich es immer interessant auch mal andere Teile zu sehen (kenne leider bisher nur das Alexa Shopping center und Fernsehturm&co)
I came to Berlin this week and I am in love! How did you manage to get a job? I need advice as my German is a little basic at the moment and I'm so keen to learn!
Alexis found something on the English Jobs in Berlin page, jobs in hospitality are fairly easy to get even if you don’t speak English and there’s many international companies as well. Viel Glück! 😊
Hey Charlotte 😊 Awesome, welcome to our channel! Alexis took some graphic design and fashion styling courses in College and I studied Psychology (BA) and Cognition and Communication (MA) Have a great weekend!
@@AlexisLilian Naw, it's so nice that you answered. I'm almost finished with school and still figuring out what I want to do afterwards, so thanks a lot!
If you don’t mind asking, if you only speak English how easy is it to find a job? I am planning to move to Germany but I only know English. Of course I would like to learn German but until then I wonder if I can pay my bills having a job while speaking English
New life going on! Always good to live with ur lover 💗 and it's so cool to meet Lilian's parents Please make a video for that! Ps: anybody wants to see Lilian without her hair wax LoL 😝
Can you guys talk about the process of being from another country like Canada and moving to a European country. I'm in the process of moving to Netherlands and I'm doing some research on how I can legally work. I've looked into getting a resident permit with the help of my aunt but I was wondering if you two knew of any other options. Where I can live and work as I Canadian citizen in Europe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)
The laws in the Netherlands are different than those in Germany (NL is more strict). I'm from the Netherlands, living in Germany and I'm really surprised by how different much is, while I thought the countries were kind of the same. I'm sorry that I can't really help you with advice. The only thing I could recommend is to find a Facebook group or something for expats in the Netherlands and ask there. Good luck! P.s.: In the north of the Netherlands there is more affordable housing and I love the atmosphere. I am from Groningen, which is a super nice city that has all that Amsterdam has as well, just smaller, less tourists, less crime and a much more relaxed vibe. Oh, and housing is much more affordable...
@@susanne380 thank you so much for the information! I'll definitely check that city out, I'll be staying with my aunt in Nijmegen in the beginning. I'll also look out for Facebook groups to gather more information on what I'd need and the process of applying for a permit. Really appreciate it :)
canada has a youth mobility visa program for a year with a few countries, germany included, i believe the netherlands as well! it’s fairly easy to get if you’re under 30
