Ed Davey calls for the UK Government to publish their legal advice that the Israeli government is following international law, and calls for a temporary humanitarian ceasefire to ensure aid can enter.
Why do 'we' need to do this? Gaza is 4000km away. We have no obligations to the Palestinians. Iran manages to smuggle weapons into Gaza, why can't it smuggle aid? why doesn't Egypt or Jordon do something?
@@yusaki8064 no we should not. We have enough troubles at home with poverty, not enough to eat, can't afford to heat. Let oil rich Saudi Arabia help their Muslim Brothers.
@@happyjonn9242 “I tell you the truth,” Jesus said, “this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them. For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has.” I’m Christian. Helping others is something I try to live by. I am a delivery driver for a foodbank. And it is perhaps appropriate to the verse quoted above that there are far more donations in the box from Lidl customers than Waitrose customers. It is often the case that when you have had or have very little. You understand the plight of others and are more willing to help them.
The uk have a big part to play in the creation of this mess. Palestine was under British mandate and they are the ones who handed over Palestinian land to jewish migrants and that's how israel was created. This whole situation is a threat to international security and is a humanitarian crisis. The reason this country is in financial crisis is because politicians are greedy. Being selfish doesn't pay off long term.
