Put the faux fireplace on top of the fireplace hearth and keep the TV on it. That way it will up to the wall (or real fireplace) and it will give you a idea on how high to put the TV when you are ready.

A bunch of raised beds is the first thing I thought of too. No digging up the ground and if you make them the right height you can pull up a chair to work on your garden. I think less animals can get into it too.❤️❤️❤️

Oh my goodness you guys crack me up...loved the video...good to see christian and patience... the chicks are really growing....my grandson aged 19 has one of those bikes and he took me for a ride on it...he stood up and I sat on the seat with my legs out...my daughter was shouting no get from off that bike this minute...I had a ball....I'm 72 and disabled...hadnt had so much fun in yrs....

Laurie Davies. Good for you!!! You only live once, right? Last year I turned 75 in Sept. and I stopped along the road that looked like a yard sale, but everything was free from a divorce. A name brand, like new bicycle came home with me! I had NOT forgotten how to ride! Here is to, ‘kids at heart’!!!

My grandmother had a foot power sawing machine just like that one. That worked better then some of the new ones.

Not necessarily 'better' than new ones, but certainly simpler. And a machine like that is much less expensive than the modern ones which can go $15,000 for a home sewing machine these days, BUT they are absolutely fantastic pieces of machinery. You can pickup treadle machines in great condition for $20 - $50 and with a good clean and oil they will work well for you.

The wooden box of attachments is commonly called a puzzle box, there are several difference incarnations of this and no the date on the box is not when it was made it is the model number of the puzzle box. You can also find these on many of the Vintage sewing machine groups so you can put the pieces back in the places they belong. Some of the puzzle boxes are worth more than what you paid for the entire machine/cabinet.

Here's a suggestion for furniture.... the 2 full size sofa's on angles with a table at the "point".... with the table centered under the wall that has the 2 high windows. The chicks are getting SO big! Hope the weather warms up soon so they can get into their mansion! Love how you always incorporate some fun in all of your projects! you know, those piles of top soil seem rather large. and I can only assume that there is more to come with the storage units. if you don't have a use for it. you should sell it. with new construction and landscapers, there should be a large demand for it come this fall. when everyone's trying to button up there projects for fall and winter. simply make a deal with your dirt workers to market and sell it. it's not alot of money, but it adds up. and if you don't have to do anything for it. it's free money.

I love the way the livings room turned out. Add a mantle to decorate for the holidays. Behind your big new chair put a tall standing lamp that shines down for reading. If your singer machine has a top veneer be careful. It will eventually buckle & peel off. 🥴 ❤️

Not if you heat it and re-glue it. They are not that hard to fix. The water damage can be repaired by heating the shellac, thinning it and it will smooth out. Lots of tutorials on the vintage sewing machine sites.

Jeremy, find a buyer for that topsoil. A Gardening Center could appreciate it. WOW! You got a Singer Tredle. You spent $5. more than mine cost me in about 2000 from someone in Florida. Their's had belonged to their Grandmother. If you get the serial number off the matching and call Singer Co. They can tell you when it was made. Mine was 1877. Mine came with a bunch of attachments and 2 original leather belts. Sadly mine has been in a storage unit for the last 6 years. Jeremy, the little bump on the spout of the freeze free pump is to hold a bucket so you don't have to.

those heaters you can't put them up on the top of the she shed heat rise if you put up there you can start a fire you can't even put plug-in outlet around them they have to be 3in above the floor

I learned to sew on a machine exactly like that. If you treadle backwards with your feet you break the thread and usually have to re-thread the bobbin. My mom made many of my school clothes on that machine. I love if for a decorative table now.

Put the lamp up by the reading nook so you can actually read. It will light down below also. Move the blanket ladder down below but not too close to the sewing machine.. It will go nicely with it.

We have a beautiful upright antique piano , it is built in the late 1800's as a player piano and then converted to a regular piano. It is mahonsy. My daughter has gotten an older home that they have updated and she doesn't have room. It is free for anyone that wants it's to come get it. She lives in St Francisville, Louisiana.

I had a singer like that one once. The pieces in the box are extra feet for doing different things. Go on line to early singer machine and then to singer attachments. And you can learn alot. I learned to sew years ago on a singer treddle. Have fun George. Love you new house. If you lived closet i,d teach you to do French Hand Sewing like your great grandma did. It's beautifull.

The curled up leather in the lower left drawer is the belt that drives the machine. It connects to the treadle and to the machine. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like there may not already be one on the machine. What a delightful video!! The house is really coming along. P and C are such hard workers. They amaze me. I'm so glad that you are enjoying the new digs so much. Blessings.

My grandparents had a farm and the annual seasonal workers of marriage age would wait until harvest to get married because my grandmother would bake their wedding cakes and sew their wedding dresses on a singer like that.

I would be using that sewing machine all the time. Best they ever made. Singer pedal machine is what I learned to sew on. Doesn’t use electricity or gas, just foot power, and they last forever. Now that bike looks like great fun, but I’m to old to ride it. Shoot darn. I love your house and what you’re doing with it. I just have one question, who’s going to clean it? Lol ❤️❤️❤️

I have a Singer treadle machine like that one except the drawers on my machine has wooden button knobs, + an extra treadle base. Plan to clean them up & use as end table - conversation pieces. Congratulations on your trainer parking warehouse lot. The waterfall looks great. Evaporation is going to take care of some of the excess water. LR arrangement # 4 looks nice. Hang that wedding picture centered above the sofa

The "shank" was a seam ripper. It is used to remove a seam for alterations. If the furniture is too close at right angles feet could get in each other's way.

When I had chickens many years ago, I was told to sprinkle red pepper flakes on the ground or in there food when the weather was cold. It warms up their body temperature to lay eggs. You don't need much just a little. When I did it a few times I actually had a couple of my hens laying eggs twice a day.
