On console it would suck, we already have a very small player base, espacially in 5* and 6* MMR. Basically you meet there araound the same 100 people over and over. Split this playerbase by custom games will not be good.
Hunt just needs better community integration in general. There's no clan system, no private lobbies, no in-game communication system outside of lobbies, nothing. A lot of Hunt's biggest problems could be workshopped by the community before becoming live on the base game if Crytek would let it. In Australia, most of the regular Hunt players all know each other and are in the same Discord. Why not just let them run an Australian Clan for preferential match making instead of shoddy ping limits? Someone's a suspected cheater? While Crytek investigates, the clan that saw the cheater can ban them from their preferential match making. These are tools and systems that have existed in multiplayer games for decades. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel and just use the solution we know works.
