@@GazB85 Nope. The track playing in this video is nothing like Venjent. This track here is oldschool jungle. Amen break in full effect. If you can't tell the difference between them.....
@@schippes24Aside from being an insufferable knob who loves himself a painful amount, his tends to lean more into techno whereas this is real old school jungle imo
I was around in the early 90’s, Bristol UK. You have no idea how correct you are! Reggae sound systems did the jungle nights. Us white boys did techno nights. All had respect for the other. Great times 😊
NYC sounds like car horns and vulgarity, the only music inspired by that rat-hole is the muffled cries of victims in time to flashing streetlights.@@RetroBerner
sounds excellent, really miss being in 1994 when Jungle just exploded before Drum n' Bass morphed out it, still had closer connections to the original Breakbeat Hardcore styles with Noise Factory, Kemet; Reinforced etc. Let's not forget the controversial General Levy - hah! Wicked job Ant, this sample has certainly taken the sampling world by storm haha - sounds like the '90s style in a bag! Come wid de riddim! :D
Well there was Jungle, for the dance floor, in this style here, but there was also "intelligent drum n bass" which emphasised the bass a lot more, not as fast, not as rapid, but way more produced, way more computer programmed, more mixed for clarity and atmospherics than just blasting it for the dance floor, much more binaural as it were, more electronic than just rapid beats and definitely less "jungle" yup
Not on a mainstream level. Here in Toronto everything died down. I've got friends on Metalheadz that get no gigs in North America. I've noticed music in general is starting to become good again across many different genres however, and as per internet usage, anything can become mainstream now overnight so the fight to keep our underground music completely underground is no longer a thing, if we get more amen breaks with reggae toasts above 165bpm in the top ten plays on streaming platforms; it's a wrap.@@DjNikGnashers
