Onslaught is such a good activity. Everything from the pyramid ships in the skybox, loot and loot rarity. I seen people complaining shiny weapons are too rare but they forgot we’re literally 1.5 weeks into onslaught. They have 2 more months of grinding
One thing that really does it for me with onslaught is compared to vanguard strikes it’s much more involved. The randoms you match with can’t just make a beeline to the end of it giving you that annoying “JOINING ALLIES” and it’s over as fast as you loaded in. Feels like I’m actually playing the game again is one way to put it.
One thing I also appreciate with the design are some of the enemy choices. Having an activity where you have tough enemies like brigs and tormentors in the same run also helps push builds that factor in both precision and non-precision damage which I love.
While I like the rarity of the shiny weapons. I believe you should be guaranteed one on your first clear of 50 wave legend per week. It’s way too brutal for the lackluster rewards. GM’s are way more rewarding than this. Other then that and ads just randomly spawning on the ADU im Newhouse the mode. Ohh yeah the Briggs can kiss my whole entire ass!!!
The loot drop after reaching max rank is garbage. 2 weapon drops every 10 waves. If you mess up in between those 10 waves you get nothing. I'm already sick of running this activity after 9 days of doing it non-stop.
