Nothing happened. Hes like grant hill on the 90s pistons. Great young talent on a terrible team with a horrible front office. Doing what he can with truly awful spacing 🤷
Don’t see anything different from this comment. But you can be sure that many teams are more interested in him than in a player like Trae Young. His style don’t get many highlights clicks despite being quite solid
@emsj86 he's shown flashes but he is dealing with historically bad spacing to be fair. His game is built around the pick and roll and the midrange. But the floor is so compressed and jammed because of bad spacing that it makes his life so much harder.
That whole losing streak could've and should've been avoided by starting Ivey. Dude was scoring like 50/40/80 before the bs started to weigh on the players.
I might be slightly biased because we went to the same highschool for a couple years but I think he has the clear tools to really be something special in the league, and more people would probably see that if he was in just even a slightly better situation
@@nicholasrose4448 i hope so i like Cade a lot. Bt the youth movement is stacked with some locks. Wemby, Luka, Tatum, Ja, Ant, Shai, Zion. Top 15 means you rlly have to put up MVP numbers type seasons now
@@Now_To_Infinity They've drafted quality talent over the years, but have still been trash organizationally, so guys tend to not develop until they land elsewhere.
Hope things turn around for the better for Cade. Watching him in those post-game press conferences while they were on their losing streak made me feel really bad for him
ya cade definitely has a very methodical playstyle, he looks like hes always controlling the pace and not allowing himself to be sped up keeps the guy on his hip and changes speeds when he needs to especially when he gets into the paint area, hes also a big guard so he can jus kinda body up on smaller guards, detroit just needs more spacing around him, ive seen so many times where he drives to the paint and not a single opposing player are looking at anyone else on the 3pt line, he applies pressure but they dont have the spacing to really take advantage of that also im rly unsure about the ron holland pick, seems super similar to ausar thompson, high level defender wing but also not a good shooter at all tho hes at least hes a bit ahead of ausar in that aspect, just seems like another player that is probably gonna get ignored on the outside but i think cade is a franchise guy they just have to help him out more, i think they'll definitely better than last season, not the highest bar lol but i think JB will be good for them and have them playing the right way and instill a culture they've been missing the entire time they have been rebuilding
The pistons have had bad 3 point shooters which means teams pack the paint against them so cades numbers in the mid range and paint are really good for being double or triple teamed every time he goes there. I imagine with better spacing teams will have to respect the perimeter more and it will open up the floor for him.
I'm reallly high on cade still. He's just in a piss poor situation, hell if we even saw him on teams like utah or the '23 nets, his situation would be much better. Additions like tobias harris and beasely would be insane. He's got the potential to be all league defense, and MVP fs.
Cade been injured and on what was a bad franchise under troy all which slowed down his development still got all star potential just need to tighten up handles get better at attacking the rim and finishing at rim better conditioning and defense too
There’s weaknesses in every young players game ant , Luka , Tatum , wemby , paolo etc Cade will be an all star this year and in strong consideration for all nba
None of the young guys did. Their team had too much talent. But their supposed #2 guy got benched for arguably the worst of in the league, despite scoring on 50/40/80 splits. Front office set the team back mismanaging the coaching situation.
Cade has been the victim of an organization that has operated criminally with building rosters and scouting talent. If he ever gets the right pieces around him, he will easily be all star worthy. There’s not a better channel out there that breaks down players like this one. All with footage rolling the whole time.
Their talent drafting had been great. The team owner screwed the rebuild up, likely forcing out their coach Dwayne Casey, and overriding the GM to sign a coach who's now having locker room trouble at multiple stops and teams that underperform consistently due to personnel mismanagement. The team owner set the team back a ways.
All Cade needs to do on fast breaks is stop at the free throw lil pump fake and take the same shot you always take instead of going all the way to the basket. Luka 2.0
that might be true cuz I think it takes a lot out of him guarding these small guards. They need a legit pass first point guard tho, which they dont have
He's not even better than the inconsistent Jalen Green. Jalen Green had worst players around him than Cade from 2021 to 2023 under Silas and he didnt let the Rockets lose 28 consecutive games as a first option.
Hall of Fame walking. Not worrying about Cade and Detroit Pistons. Cade Cunningham stats show he better than Anthony Edwards. NBA refuses to show Detroit Pistons games on regular channels. That why there is no hype
What about him being a point forward. I dont think he has the passing ability of a Doncic which hardly anyone does. But he wouldnt need the ball all the time. He also gets a lot taken out of him going against smaller faster PG.
He got caught up in an injury unfortunately but he’s still good and I can see Luka in him but the problem is that he’s playing for Detroit that team is a wasteland I mean shoot they signed Montey to a head coach max in a way and they let him go the next season this team is in shambles
what did you expect? it does not matter how many 1st pick, lottery/top level prospects you can get.. if you keep giving them to the most incompetent organization(s) in Basketball.. they'll find a way to turn all that talent into the worst team in the history of Basketball.. and there's no more forgettable a carreer than as the best player on the worst team in Basketball.. but ey.. at least they pay you $250 million to waste away your talents.. being cannonfodder to teams competent enough to draft the best player in the world and 3xMVP in the 2nd Round..
I know it can be a bit weird and maybe feel uncomfortable, but maybe you should tell people to like the video earlier as well as in the end, since a good portion probably won't watch that bit, even if they enjoyed the video
He’s on a historically bad team that was sabotaging his talent. He needs time to come back from a season ending surgery but has all the potential in the world to be a lead ball handler. I’m projecting about 24-26 ppg and an all star nod next season.
Can they not play Stew at the 4? Please? Also really not sure how they’re going to develop Holland while they have Ausar/Ivey/Duren as well. Gonna really need Ivey to become a floor spacer on C&S’s, and hopefully Stew can play like 15-18M at C and also space. That’d help a lot. Fred Vinson is gonna have his hands full for sure. If he can turn Ivey in to a decent 3P shooter, and somehow turn Ausar in to someone who can hit open C&S corner 3s in the next cpl years that’d be incredibly impressive. I don’t know if Cade is a #1. I tend to think he’s more of a #2 or 1B at best, at least on a really good team. I definitely don’t think he should be a 30%+ USG guy. Someone else who is a decent defender, can hit 3s, and be at least a secondary ball handler would be huge. Like a Jalen Suggs or someone (shot 40% 3P on good volume this season) like that. We’ll see though. I have no doubt he’s very talented though and as long as he stays healthy will at least be a really good 2nd option. They improved the spacing a decent bit, but they’re still missing pieces. Fontecchio is hopefully a legit solid volume shooter. Tobias can hopefully at least be a decent floor spacer. He’s overpaid for sure, and I heard they did try to get Buddy Hield which would’ve been nice but didn’t happen. Simply going to need some of the young guys to shoot it, run better lineups with more spacing, and like I said hope that investment in Fred Vinson pays off.
He's not a superstar and I don't think he ever will be, but I'd love for him to either prove me wrong, or be that second option on a championship team that I think he probably could be right now. Anything's possible though, he's barely 22 and just finished his third season. With his gifts being more geared toward perimeter creation, he could use a dominant interior force to play off of
@@AlexHoops No he didn't. Sorry for the unfortunate wording. I meant there was a buzz his possible nomination, as there was fot the first time quite a few advocating for him to be included.
@@SuperTDSmith He has the worst collection of teammates we have ever seen, because they just fired the very worst GM in the history of this sport. It's not on him.
Lol he is 22 and averaging close to 23 and 8 and you think he isn't close to being an all-star? If he had better team mates around him he would be doing even better.
