I am a proud Waterbury mom and I have the most respect for Rabbi Kalish. His Yeshiva was my son's haven. He is a full time plumber today, settled, and doing so well. Thank you, R' Kalish.
I wish people at least kept dress code, name, and language, (the three Mitzvos in mitzrayim), before Midos, these things can be done today, Midos can take your whole life.
Whats the point if it means nothing to them? Is it only so their rebbi, parents and society can see it? That makes them fakers and more distant from being an honest person…therefore preventing them from genuinely connecting to Judiasm
Rabbi Kalish Kept dress code and the three said mitzvos and was still honest enough with himself to be inspired by the people who he initially thought were broken. We ought to learn from Rabbi Kalish's courage;.
