The biggest and main reason as to why tanki is suffering is that they do not give a single crap about the opinion of the players AND that they are so stuck up and proud that they do not take blame for ANYTHING! (Tanki telling people that they had nothing to do with the no damage bug, yet when taspen made a video about it, they "magically" fixed it??) Honestly, tanki needs to be called out even more by big RU-vidrs.

I really miss when everything was green, it made the game feel more realistic, just like a real war with tanks. The ranks felt like you really are a general or a legend. It was just better. I personally think that the developers don't listen to the comunity and they ruined the game with adding stuff we don't want.

Everything went downhill once tanki added matchmaking. It was great that you could choose your own battles, ranks and maps. Would be nice to add this feature back and maybe add a setting to limit GS so players with upgraded garages still have an advantage over those who don't, but the battle wouldn't be so one sided like how it is in most battles today.

As a player who left Tanki in 2016 and just came back 2 months ago, I think that the main thing that ruined Tanki in my opinion is the hovering hulls. Yes the game is more dynamic and stuff, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. For me, at least, because I know lots of people uses it. And as you said, obviously the drones and overdrives. Some days ago was like « why is everyone complaining but I see NOBODY in the classic mode in pro battles? » but yeah it’s pro battles, you can’t complete any mission etc. It’s so refreshing to play pro battles tho (not talking about XP), the game is much more calm and sometimes that’s what you need

A lot of things are not very good with Tanki, but for me one of the worst thing is that they didnt make a filter where you can choose what map you want to play , or at least they could make 3 types of maps , small medium and large. Also one of the bigger changes that i would like to be made is that on the mode juggernaut is not possible to heal the juggernaut, it would be much fun . But still enjoying Tanki every day although some changes would make it the best game again. Best regards from Montenegro

Tanki literally had the fortune on a silver platter, all they had to do was listen to their player base. They once did with crystal boxes being re-added into game after being removed, sadly it was too late...It even consistently lagged and had stutter issues, but noone complained because it wasn't an issue, it was a feature. The year 2010-2014 was simply unmatched. I remember the update that gold boxes will start to spawn in all places where normal crystals do and a nuclear alarm sound plays before to alert everyone. The joy of everyone, even your enemies nearby having this collective unwritten rule of ceasefire was the year tanki was simply the best multiplayer game out there... The thrill of not knowing where gold box will drop... The events... the simple atmosphere... all gone

Tanki Online was fun, because it was very simple. Shaft was the first thing that added complexity to them game, which made a lot of 2009 OGs leave the game. The addition of Hammer was the last blow to the TO's golden era.

I dont know some aspect are nowadays better than when I started in 2011. I am now playing it 4 months without break and that is probably longest I have ever played tanki without it. I was always able to play like for month or two maximum because game back then was so repetitive and was eventually boring, ranks went up soooo slow and you could just play one or two turrets at best (as a F2P) and one or two hulls. Now despite not Full Mk7 I have In garage 6x Mk7 turrets and I can choose whatever I want to play with or use some strategy. I was finally able to get legend rank (after 12 years) What I dont like now is unbalanced battles - too fast without chance for weaker team to actually do something. Augments make this worse, initially great idea is now ruining matchmaking, you just need a few guys (usually playing in group) with OP augments and you can leave battle. Helios, Asault Magazine, Rapid Fire mode, Vacuum for thunder and now also for stupid magnum, and many more augments that just dont require skill to be good with it. Also drones, mostly crisis combined with those OP aguments is just annoying, how you can defend yourself against bunch of campers sitting in corner of the map one shoting you. Lastly - maps and game modes. There are a lot of good maps but unfortunately tanki is forcing players to play shitty maps and I dont now why .... who wants to play stadium with some mode like juggernaut etc? Only one good mode for that map is probably rugby. There are lot of stupid maps that we are forced to play most of the time bigger maps that are just supporting this camping styles of playing. I see nowadays a lot of "pro" players that just targeting weak players or teams where they are dominating easily whole battle and when they are meet with someone equal or they starting to get rekt they just leave battle to try another one where he will be farming weaker players/teams, just for some K/D ratio or efficiency.Its sad becasue good or pro players could make a difference between teams but as soon as they are getting destroyed they just leave after few deaths to try luck in another one where they can farm again. Also some "pro" players are made it so far they before they will get destroyed they leave battle and rejoing again with 0 deaths. , Game has more problems than before but for me its more funny than before. Back then it was more balanced and most of the battles you could enjoy map you want and fair teams (until some drugger wanted to ruin game) but at the end it got boring. Now its frustrating because game lack this aspects but aside of that is good and funny.

The problem isn't any of those things. The problem is they're putting players in games with massively overpowered players to basically be easy kills. Moving protections to General was a bad idea. Making ranking up harder without ptw was a bad idea. But refusing to address their toxic af culture, their matchmaking issues, is going to be fatal. Nobody wants to stay in games where it's impossible to play much less elevate because they're so overpowered and targeted by higher ranking players. With emphasis on the targeting. Toss in team mates that intentionally bump your tank, push your tank, etc, teamwork is just a suggestion. Very few players understand this. Yeah Tanki could be promoting it more, but then people look up the reviews and go their IG and talk to their devs. The augments, drones, and such wouldn't matter as much if there wasn't such an overwhelming gap between the experience levels on teams. This time last year it wasn't this bad. It was bad, just not this bad. We've been asking them to fix these issues and they keep pumping out stuff nobody asks for or wants. I would love there to be more new players, but not until they fix this. They need to stop everything until they can give us a playable game. Or sell it to someone who can.

The old large maps were absolutely next level. They lagged a lot yes, but when they didn't it was the most fun i've ever had in the game. I also used to love how upgrading modification (mk) levels of each turret would actually affect the skin of the turret...that really meant having a cooler skin correlates with how strong you are in the game. Similarly, cooler-looking paints had higher protection. If you saw someone with "Zeus" paint (blue lighting paint, highest cost, highest protection) and they had their fully upgraded turret and hull skin, you actually knew death is inevitable. Nowadays, having the coolest skin and paint doesn't carry that promise of being a veteran. You either got lucky or payed a lot...

That's a really cool idea ,I can't imagine no drones no augments no overdrives and catching a goldbox with pure skill. wish tanki implement this , even I would upload if this happens. Cheers m8 :)

Tanki in its current state has greater potential than the OG Tanki ever had, it is just that lots of things are locked behind paywalls. Augments which have become a core gameplay mechanic are not easily accessible and grindable for which makes battling overall unappealing. They also don't return, so what is the point? Why brag in the V-LOGs about "diversity" when they don't come back in green Containers, or for Crystals so we can grind for what we want? - Tanki does not listen to player base - Events are reduntant - The nostalgia comes from friends speaking and playing together - Contests - General unprofessionalism - Leaves "exciting spoilers" like Contracts, TO Mobile iOS Development, Ratings Page, with no updates or roadmap of progress - List goes on Nowadays Tanki is releasing good updates incredibly slow and there is no connection between developer and playerbase. Instead we get lackluster plugs to the game which no one asked for, and do not make a lot of sense to be in the game. If they add something, it should be interesting and appealing to the players, not the developers, but what can we do? That's why Tanki fails.

Old FARM map was amazing I play all the time,,,I remember old clan batlles on Silens map . Main turret was Freez,,hull Mamuth and Inferno paint my goodness that was time to play.. greetings from KOTS clan member back in days!!

Everything you said makes sense and i think We should have two Options of game modes in matchmaking, a ctf mode where everything is allowed and a ctf mode with nothing but supplies like you said, will make the game Much much better

I would play if they made every mk model different look , and different fire color , no augments , no drones , overdrives could be still there but not too much op , and supplies as normal , also nerfing the containers and removing xt and skin containers it would be better to set a crystal price for them at a specific rank instead of a recruit person buying one and getting skin right away , Old interface imo was better , The way of joining battles , free to go in any ongoing battle , as the nowadays matching takes so long sometimes it crashes and restarts the game then the match starts , And adding old maps , non Remastered + adding the 2014 - 17 skins , adding more events , crystal boxes , and making the grinding balanced as an f2p perspective , as in 2014-17 the grinding was a bit hard that u had to buy as little as possible , and after that it has become so easy due to containers and stuff . i think thats all , mighve forgotten something " ALL OF THIS IS IMO"

Bring back the old matchmaking for the love of god

It’s just the drones, augments, and all the obnoxious busted stuff… back in the day I was so good and had so much fun. Now I get slammed by 9999 all the time and with no chance. Then I played a custom match without all the broken stuff and I get top in the match… Also mm could be more fun with some old maps, but obviously this would mean taking out new stuff from the game to make them work… for example, noise would be terrible with Tesla in a game…

Things I hate the most: -mk1-mk7 mods look the same -no product kits for crystals -too many new features -lack of secret rooms -unnecesary updates -bad updates And the worst thing of all: The loss of the flash interface and graphics.

It still will be a good game for me no matter how much they will change. I started playing at the end of 2013 it's been almost 10 years now. It was great to play it back then, made lot's of good friends, lot's of rage and even funny moments. But now I see literally everyone being mad about their changes, but every game has their changes. I still gonna play this game till they're stopping it. I love it.

Started playing just before crystal boxes were removed, had so much fun. Became generalissimo, and then new ra.ks were added. stopped playing bcz of the paint update + drones. and now i cant even try to login to see what has become of the game bcz of the loot box restriction in my country.

I think that we also need to look at the topic from the bright side. im also an old date non buyer tanki player, but honestly the gameplay and evrything other now isnt that bad. The game is still updating and alive, the developers are doing their best to make the game better. New gameplay, skins, turrets or hulls are a matter of time - tanki needs to be updated like every other game - otherwise even the old fun gameplay would just get boring too.

A small thing, but I genuinely think removing the distinction between m1/m2/m3 and increasing the tiers to 7 also made the game less rewarding

i still unfortunetly have a big sentiment for this game and i am going back to it from time to time. Honestly developers change the game way too fast. I am off for half a year and suddenly half of the game works completely different. This game doesnt need to change so rapidly. Daily missions rework its just terrible. Three random missions per day was a simple and good system and i have no idea why they wanted to change it. Especially when they have a lot of work on other parts of the game. For example, they are changing to hd skins for at least 2 years and most of the maps and some skins are still old. I understand old players like old skins, but the game doesnt look good with mixed graphics. In my opinion developers are making rash decisions on new content without thinking too much and are forcing these ideas on players.

The people spamming double damage and double armor or whatever it is called is the reason tanki sucks rn, so that gamemode would absolutely help it become big and i also agree with drones and maybe augments being bad, they could make augments good by making them easier to get and not making them too op

I think tanki just needs to listen to players. firstly buy new servers, then work more on the make for example add more maps and make some of the old maps MM like fort knox and madness etc, but our massage won't be as big as if tas does it

Because they bring new things to the game and at the same time are obsessed with a lot of money; people have no other reason than to ruin the game of their childhood. Since the Augments arrived, this game has not been the same as before. I really remember at the time I had an account with the rank of "warrant officer 4". For days and months, I had won crystals and bought them in M1 firebird, smoky and isida. It was so happy for me, until... With my M0 body, M3 players start killing me all the time because of something I don't understand with those ridiculous things called "augment" and "drones". It made me very sad in this game. Before this nonsense came, the F2P player with everything M0 could go and challenge the P2W player with everything M3. Because it was not about "money" it was all about "skill". Now the player with 4000 GS cannot touch the player with 6000 GS. Everyone kills each other with one shot and says, "God, I can't believe I'm so good at this game."

You remember when you play a flash game, get bored of it and go play with the hacked version? Y'know, unlimited stuff and everything? It feels like that. Crystals are just trivial to get(still pain), battle pass is done within 3-4 days, supplies are always on, no consequences to using drones too (batteries). It just devolved into unlimited galore! It's fun once you come back, but it gets boring and annoying

and the most crazy thing is the unbalanced augs and weapons , like u cant be top 3 if u'r using wasp or hornet cuz u die very fast , they 'eed to balance the game , delete overdrives and drones , and delet the golds and leave only mega golds and do x10 mega golds in events only

things that i generally hate about this game: 1) crit resistance and crit shots on all turrets (apart from smoky because it was it's only specialty, now its just a weaker version of thunder) 2) smoky, thunder, and some other turrets shells taking longer to hit targets from a long distance (like seriously it's very annoying to aim with such drastically slowed down shells) it's also the reason why even though i have a fully maxed out thunder and a smoky, i barely ever use either of them (i only use smoky because i have an augment that speeds up the shell flying speed however it doesn't deal bonus damage or anything and its a real pain) 3) railgun being so weak and with so many underwhelming augments 4) gold events not making increased drop rates in other MM battles and pro battles 5) container conversion into keys is just a rip off. 6) balance for augments simply doesn't exist 7) to get a good augment u need to be either very lucky or gamble your cash away. 8) special minigame events for which u need to buy a pass to enter with tankoins which really few people actually have since weekly containers hardly give any. 9) battlepass not having paints, shot effects and such for neither the free tier nor the paid tier, the end reward being just a skin that you probably don't even want is also very disappointing especially since u need to also pay tankoins to get it. 10) buff the juggernaut man, it's pathetically weak with it's slow overdrive activation.

I quite play a lot at the moment since im maxed but if I wasnt I would definitely have quit the game those gigachad with freaking powerful augment like assault magazine no offense taspen but thats really breaking the game in my opinion augment when they first was released were okay in my opinion like the crystal ones but also the fact that you cant choose the battle with the matchmaking makes me get bored like why is it always highways and lost temple give me monte carlo on matchmaking and big maps that are actually fun

Here's what happened, it started with the infamous tanker dayton_invinsible, it was 2014, he was WO1 in the general chat he said, "I curse this game, I curse Tanki Online" , you see so many people with firebird+wasp, that's what he used all the time, he used drugs to rank up fast and effectively, he also thought to himself one day, "Tanki Online needs a good balance" , ideas like "what ifs" to make the game better they added this that and the other, after he would lose a battle he would get angry and rage and take drastic measures to make himself feel better, So the downfall of Tanki Online was because of what he said, "I curse Tanki Online, I curse this game" , after that he came back and so many things changed, what's interesting about the augments is they are what the turrets used to be, he still plays today in 2023 I don't know why he does, because of him the game is the way it is

We no longer get an exitement with tanki online, that's all Taspens! In the past, we would grind for hours only to wait for a big celebration to come and do our huge upgrades. Now, everything is boring, everything is too easy and too hard at the same time. It's really easy to fully upgrade your garage, but very hard to play tanki when we have buyers who bought 6000 UT Container and have all possible exotic augments and ruin the gameplay. The flash version was also very cool, simple and classic. In a few words, you no longer feel to grind and earn crystals, upgrades won't make you stronger, but the exotic augments, which only buyers get via buying a dozen of UT Containers. The skins are pointless too, it was super fun to chase and earn the XT Skins, now I got this new Steampunk Magnum skin with a single UT Container opening... meh. Pointless game. No longer reasons to grind, no longer exitement to have during celebrations, useless upgrades, useless skins... Do you like that Taspens? Everyone has now the *NEW EXCLUSIVE SKINS* and nobody has default skins. Heck even the defaults skins are just 1, the HD version, at least in the past we had the M0-M3.

Tanki have too many problems. In my eyes biggest problem is camping. You cannot basically play anything close range (especially at legend ranks), becouse evryone is playing some OP long range sh*t turret that can oneshot you from any distance and xou cannot even get near them becouse there is endless spam of mines. Another thing is that when someone new start playing, they are playing with 300-400GS against players with 5000+ GS (don't know how much it changed since last year, but I don't expect it to be too different) Another problem are augments - if you don't have augment, then you are not competetive. That mean 2 things 1) players without arguments cannot compete against players with augments 2) if someone only have few good augments then they cannot even play turret they want, becouse it is too weak. Another problem is Crisis - no need to comment that one Another problem is matchmaking - you wait 3 minutes to be put in game that is about to end in 2 minutes. More to matchmaking - there are no equal teams, tanki make teams intentionally imbalanced. I don't think I've seen a single balanced battle in past few months. Another problem is that servers are still lagging AF. Another problem are easy to fix buggs that are annoying as hell and are in the game for years alredy. Another poblem is auto self destruct on by default. Another problem is within new hulls system where all hulls are equal in speed and HP within weight category and the only difference beeing ult. Back then you were able to go with ultra durable mamooth, or almost as durable, but faster titan (similliary with other hulls). There is way more, but I don't have 10s of hours to write evrything down

I think the only way of making the game actually fun again is just showing no mercy and completely deleting the hovering hulls. They ruined not only golds but also matches like CTF and RGB. The amount of times im enjoying a good battle and thinking that my team is gonna win... and then a virgin russian flies in with his goofy hopper thinking hes somekind of Boeing airplane, caps 5 flags and my team loses... those are the moments i wanna uninstall the game. They should increase the gold prize to like 5k (i guess inflation excists in tanki aswell and 1k is nothing lol). Another good change would be not adding events every damn weekend. They should be actual events which are rare and dont happen that often. Promote the game!!! Please!!! They should also calm down with the 80 augments for each turret and hull. I remember when effects like the freeze effects were unique for that specific turret... Now you can almost slap on a goofy cYrO augment on any turret and the effect loses its unique-ness. There are many many more i just dont wanna write a novel even though i already kind of just did 😂

As a Magnum main, i must say that players are literally complaining about a turret that need to know how to use aka Magnum, but doesn't complain about Scorpion literally the most braindead turret in the whole game, da thing can kill heavy hull with just one of they guided rocket packs in every range and don't need to know how to use, just spam the rockets and they'll hit you even behind a house.

Honestly, Tanki isn't as bad as everybody complains about Overdrives: Not a problem; they don't make me mad when I die to them, it's a strategic element to the game Drones: Mostly fine, although Defender is tough to go against rn Augments: Also mostly fine, with the exception of some, like hyperspeed rounds for railgun, and the status ones. OP augments are really annoying, status augments are too basic and also kinda annoying, but other than that, 90% of augments are good, since they change up the turret slightly Matchmaking: The randomness of map, team, whatever, is fine. A ton of MMO's do that. The inconsistency is ridiculous though. One of the worst parts of the game. They need to base it on GS instead of rank, or add a rating system for players Servers: The worst part of the game. They're trash. It's not a problem with the game mechanics themselves, but they need new servers, desperately. There is no reason somebody should be able to join 8 matches in a row with the no damage bug

First of all, the biggest problem is the shop. Making game pay to win removed quite a lot of older players (since the start of premium, bundles, even kits which you could buy a rank before you could with crystals). Tankoins idek why where they added, and removing MM and overdrives would be good. But even of it comes somehow back, and tanki do start promoting their game again, people wont come since they were fed up of it and moved on. The damage has already been done.

i left in christmas 2020 cuz i felt like they were never listening to the community and what we wanted, i made a new account last week and they throwing me in games with majors and brigadiers with far better equipment than me so i get 1 tapped by everything which brings me to my next point that they change/remove stuff that were perfectly fine, matchmaking was never this unbalanced so why am i getting in these games? 💀

They killed the game when they added MM (forced to play terrible big maps) and the removal of super missions which one of the main reason of why we had to play hours per day (even if we get supplies at the end) and now we have useless ultra weekend every week they are copy/past boring + most augments are the same for every turrets + adding criticials damage for every turret is lame aswell... so many things to talk about tanki downfall

I have two accs. One i bought some thing and one didnt buy a single thing. For that i can say that the most effective bad quality of the game is p2w, which also means too many ways (and blind ways) of making the tanks with too many options of being overpowered. Also there is a prob of making the game too boring, same events, same boring prices, and the same boring ways. i think that one of the main prob is that they think they should make it interesting, i think they dont need to tryhard making the game better in new ways, its just not working. they have done years ago more interesting stuff than now😂. And for the most relevant and important thing, is that tanki dont understand is that most of the ppl who playing the game are old players, its not a brilliant new game of ps5 that now runs out its an old game that only old players play it, the game had an old fashion way of classic game. Man this game is like a lil kid bro

Played it for a little while on Steam. Loved it at first, then slowly hated it. -Horribly unbalanced. Sure there's lots of tank customization but arguably too much. Certain turrets, resistances and abilities are straight up broken. -Awful respawn system. If I had a nickel for every time I spawned in an awful location only to get IMMEDIATELY spawnkilled I could buy a yacht. -Awful matchmaking. Pretty obvious, really. -Zero team coordination. More of a player/community issue but still bugs me. Half the time my team just seems to ignore the objective of the game mode altogether. -P2W. I went 0-8 in a CTF game of Silence with a level 9999 player on the other team as our team had zero premium players. You also specifically have to pay up to unlock certain turret special abilities, which is BS. -Upgrade timer. Dubious at best, completely pointless at worst. -Music. On the Steam version they got rid of most of it except for events. I didn't hear it in game or in the garage. If not removed, possibly broken or glitched? Not sure. -Community. Dear god is it toxic. Only slightly better than Fortnite. Also the Scorpion turret is stupidly OP and BROKEN. Yeah... 1/10 in its current state playing World of Tanks at its worst would be better.

Old events used to be fun, free and just amazing to join ans get rewards. Nowadays all events are similar, buy a pass for 900 tc get a paint and its all downhill from there. What happened to the colouring competition and The Game competitions ? Where have the in-game daily events such as gold hunting etc gone ? Servers are dead 15% of the time. And bringing few augments that are extremely broken and nerf it after some ppl get it. Another thing is Tanki Battle pass is trash, no uniqueness at all.
