Shea, I’ve been watching you for 3 or 4 years now. I’m a middle aged chubby nurse and think designer handbags are a waste of money. But I never begrudge people who love them, because it’s none of my business what people do with their money. I watch you because you are smart, articulate, funny, genuine and find us good products to consider, and I appreciate your viewpoint on supplements and other health stuff. I just flat out like you, and enjoy your videos. You are good people! 😊 💕
This is one thing that’s a bummer about being a content creator. People make so many judgements based solely on what they see, and don’t leave space to accept you are another human with so many facets of your life that are not shown. You’re being professional and passionate about your job. Some people just like to stir up drama and bring people down. You’ve been nothing but a joy and interesting, and I think the majority of us feel that way. Because we can’t make everyone happy, it’s important to be true to yourself. Keep being awesome Shae!
But this is the whole point. People make judgments because THAT IS WHAT SHE CHOOSES TO SHOW US. She could kick a couple of shoes out of the way in her closet and make a joke about not having time to clean upbefore sitting down to show us the latest $3000 purse she has purchased, but she doesn't. I think people would get a kick out of that and find her more real. She CHOOSES to act like her life is perfection. That's her decision. It's her channel. She can present herself and her life any which way she chooses. But then don't get pissed if people make assumptions about your life based on what you choose to show everyone about your life.

Shea, it makes me so sad that you had to do this video to justify your job when you don’t have to. I watch you on a consistent basis because I like your content as well as many other viewers. This is your job and you do it very well and that’s why we watch your videos. People should understand that everybody has many roles such as being a mom, a wife, having a personal life and a work life, etc, and these roles differ for one another. As soon as I started watching this video, I could see the hurt you're feeling. Creating content that you're interested in is the reason we all watch you! It's unfortunate there are some viewers who feel the need to criticize publicly rather than disagree privately. But, that is the downside of social media in all it's forms. Really good conversation, Shea. As a woman with many years behind me, and dating a man that's got an additional eight years on me, we often chat about how, when we were kids, it was so okay to have friends in our lives that were not necessarily on the same page as us. Meaning, our meals were different, some of us had no money and some of us came from lots of money, all with different passions, spiritual backgrounds and ethnicities -- and the great thing was, we all were able to banter back and forth about all of this but still walk to school together the next day. That seem to go away over the past few decades. However, there is a collective mindset shift going on in the world today and I do believe society is realizing that it's okay to be ourselves once again, without worrying about being judged, and sharing who we are and what we love. YOU are in that time now and using a great platform (social media) to share -- be proud of yourself and keep on doin' what you're doing because you will touch many lives in a positive way. Yeah!

I was watching your channel from the start, and for me its became a shopping channel, only to make money, nothing wrong with that, it is like u said ur job, I personally think sending back the unwanted products, that u actually spend money on would be better and give funds to the needy, it's good that u give all the sponsorship items away ! Shea, I felt really bad for you on your last video. I’m 67 yrs old and what I’ve learned is don’t worry about what people think. Your job is to share and recommend products. If people want to buy them they can if not you are not forcing them. Just worry about you and your family. I recently lost my Mom, she lived with me I took care of her and she was my best friend. I don’t feel whole any longer but life goes on. 2 of my friends just died suddenly with brain aneurysms. Life is so short. Death is so final and so hard to accept. Spend time with your loved ones and don’t change anything you are or feel for anyone else. No need to explain yourself. I look forward to all your videos. 💕

I can't begin to imagine how difficult it would be to put yourself out there on a weekly basis, and have people comment on every single little detail. I feel no matter what we do in life, we all feel like we're disappointing someone, a need to please everyone, and feel as if no matter what we do, it's not good enough. Yet, a lot of us don't have a comment section (thank goodness! I know I couldn't deal with one negative comment, let alone thousands) so it's completely understandable how discouraging that would be. Keep reminding yourself you have a huge audience that adores you, but most important, you have your family, and a God that loves you for exactly who you are.
You could argue that this channel helps people battle consumerism because people can be more thoughtful of what they purchase instead of impulse buying. If people can't control their spending or envy etc that's their problem. This is your job and you're good at it

Shea we NEED you! I’ve been watching you for like 5 years now. Your job is an important one for many of us! You have essentially evolved into a product tester (especially products on Amazon that we all need real reviews for). I’m a busy homeschool mom with 3 young children, and the convenience you offer is life changing for me. I have recommended you to so many of my friends! You SAVE me money because I know if I get a product you recommend, it’s going to be good, not going to be wasted and I don’t have to worry about returning. And no one has to buy every product you recommend, people who think you are suggesting that are being ridiculous. Every product I have purchased from your recommendations have been on point. I can tell you that this past Christmas, several things I got for my husband were from your Holiday list for guys, and he has NEVER had a happier Christmas! He brags about all the things I got him (the fanning wallet, the massage gun, the portable charger). And he is super picky! As far as the natural products video, when I read some of the comments I was hoping that you would be able to brush those off. All of the products you recommended were great! Anyone would be safe using any of them (I saw some people comment about the video being “dangerous”, not one product you recommended was dangerous and we would all be safe if we switched to any of those products you recommended). I for one appreciate the toxin-free alternative products. Each time I was pregnant, my body reacted horribly to standard products (almost all of them!) and I have already switched to the more natural-based ones. My health has improved drastically and I didn’t even know it could! Many in the science/med field will tell you the standard products and chemicals are generally safe, and it is true. But safe does not necessarily mean it’s the BEST. We have a right to search for products that are even safer/better and to try them! THANK you for your content and for always being genuine! About products: I remember your thought on the alum stick deodorants-you initially hyped them, then completely changed your opinion after research-and actually really enjoyed your honesty. It also seems more real when you change/evolve based on information that comes. I don’t like to share my own diet preferences, but you’re entitled to your own, and doing everything that you like and that as you feel good. On that note, I personally like that you re-wear clothing (ESPECIALLY when you always link what you’re wearing) both because of the realism, by also because you obviously like the products. It’s ok to “rise”….but it’s so uncomfortable. It’s a conundrum … when we elevate, and are a truly good person, it makes us feel uncomfortable to have money/things or to be perceived as perfect. Then we feel the need to explain that we too are imperfect. I love that you’re discussing these things and I also think it’s great if you go ahead and fully shine without any “guilt or shame”. I go through the same thing of people think I’m going to judge them because my house is organized or I choose to dress nice to go food shopping. I can tell you that now at 53 I don’t worry as much. It’s all because people will always try to find flaws. If not in your exterior then on your interior personality . They look for cracks to bring down the confidence ( as they see it) . It’s a Godly peace and love but unfortunately comes across wrong to those not at peace. As much as you try to explain or show love and care there will always be those who scrutinize. If your coming from a good place just keep being you unapologetically!

Everyone that disagrees with her is not a hater. If a person gives science based information on a product they need to ensure they are giving accurate information. Shea did a video recently about products we should buy instead of other products. Her comments on tampons was incorrect. A physician even commented to provide the correct information. She also mentioned an ingredient in a skin care product and stated that it caused cancer, which was completely incorrect. That was irresponsible and many people called her out on it.
I’m so thankful for you. When uI started watching You Tube a couple years ago, you quickly became one of me favorites. I don’t buy everything you suggest, nor do I get rid of everything you say is out of style! If I love it I keep it, and occasionally, you do show me sometimes quickly look to buy. I’m not good at putting outfits together, so you’re a huge help to me. I listen & think about the things you believe about health, “clean” products, & I love your “finds” in home decor products. But the reason I watch you is your attitude, your personality. I just feel good after watching your videos. That includes videos like this. The bottom line is I feel that you’re always real. Hi! I'm brand new - started watching today. Started because of your positive attitude and options / alternatives. I find it silly that people have issues with some things you post. I like the luxury video options for the simple reason that yes there are people who can afford it, but there are some that can't - but that doesn't mean that those people can't enjoy seeing something wonderful and yes more expensive than they can or would spend. I follow an unboxer whom I love because she provides content on all types / prices of boxes - that's the point - we get to see what's available. Thank you for your honesty! I so understand you. ❤️ I’m a health and weight loss coach and when I meet with my friends & family… they are apologizing for choosing certain foods. I never shame anyone or even point out anything. I don’t care what people choose to eat. I think it’s human nature that if you have a certain profession than people are more self-conscious regarding that topic.

Curiosity is your passion, and you have an ever-evolving hunger to improve and find fun new things! I can relate to that wholeheartedly. For me, it's most definitely how my ADHD presents itself. I get hyper-focused and it snowballs. That being said, I think you're such a sweet and genuine person that just loves to share her passion for discovery! All the other things you talk about are very personal to you and how you feel you should treat your body and the things you own. I think people should be more accepting and just coexist! You’re right - actually, the sugar in fruits is mostly fructose which is worse than glucose for your body. It is metabolized by the liver and raises triglycerides like crazy. It bypasses the mechanisms that regulate sugar and it goes straight to being converted to fat by the liver. The fat remains in the liver and can cause fatty liver disease. High fructose consumption leads to high triglycerides, fatty liver disease, weight gain, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, development of diabetes, and leaky gut syndrome. I am a nurse and work very long shifts. I don’t always have time to search for new products and fashion and you make it easier for me to pick. You always bring new products and ideas and I love that. I love your channel because of your contagious personality. I have bought several things that you have recommended and have been happy with my purchases. I can’t wait to wear my oversized flannel shirt that looked so good on you. I do wish that I had paid attention when ordering because it has to be dry cleaned and that’s expensive.
