Its true, I open unite and play just like two games and get bored. The map needs to be changed, the match making is very horrible. I have a 54% win rate and the team I get is so horrible and adding more pokemons does'nt help.

This is understandable on cris’ part. I’m 100% solo queue player and my teammates are so bad and it would get me so frustrated. At this point I’m done carrying so if my team goes with a sh*tty comp then I keep the trend going and focus on fun. Not trolling, just playing the character I want even if we already have two attackers and two speedsters. The funny thing is winning those kinds of troll game isn’t a rarity but I’m less inclined to play it as often even in that scenario. Log on, two or three games and I’m out for the day.

I want them to expand the map, and add more dynamic mechanics to the maps as well. - Weather/Floor hazards mayb ?? - Moltres objective ?? - a new permanent gamemode that is multiplayer (they ruined legacy by making it solo) - make bots more consistent (some bots play terribly while others group up) - fix the matchmaking (bruh) - revamp the emblem system (adjustments to some emblems that are irrelevant, etc) - add new holowear/outfits to the free gacha spin, so many mons and not too many free holowear (I’m talking about the gacha spin with talon/garchomp holowear) - release a new support that isn’t a pocket first aid

I just don’t understand how they expect us to head into our 3rd year I believe with the same 2 maps available. It’s like CRAZY to me tbh . I also think things like a better release plan for new Pokémon is needed and just add a shiny tier above god . Hardcore pokemon fans and average pokemon fans love shinies and “hunting” shiny pokemon .

They have to fix the menu bloat and lag on the Switch. Its really really bad.

I've not played in about 8 months, used to play everyday. There's almost no incentive for me to come back to the game, because it's just the same game but with more pokemon. So because of that, I've not been consuming any content for the game either :( sowwi.

Why don't people talk enough about the software itself? The game is PACKED with bloatware, buggy menus, and incessant ads. It STILL HASN'T CHANGED. And we are okay with this?! I cannot navigate the menu without being hit with 5 ads, half of my inputs being eaten, pressing A nd B 20 times through new menus every new event. It's so bad!

Things the game would need to become relevant again: - add more Supporters (doesn't need much further explanation) - replace Sky Ruins (Distortion World, Bell Tower, or Spear Pillar are amazing ideas) - add a grandmaster rank for the top 200 (give master players an end goal to strive for, which they need to continuously play for to stay in that rank) - increase the amount of "diamonds" needed to rank up from 3 to 5 for the ranks below master (increase the difficulty to get into master in order for that rank to regain some relevancy) - increase the frequency of balance patches and improve on their impact on the game's meta (the patches are really underwhelming in every shape and form currently) - add Spiritomb (no particular reason other than that I love this silly guy)

Been a consistent player since release, haven’t missed master until this season. Game has slowed down immensely, such a lack of new content makes it hard to play. Stayed through Zacian and Mewtwo and I feel even if balance is better, the game is more stale than it’s ever been

We need new game modes, conquests, capture the flag, teamdeathmatch, most "currencies" are pretty much dead, ive got like a billion ditto emblems, a bunch of exchange tickets for stuff that has not refreshed since release.

I believe that maybe if Cris did things like custom games with viewers or reacting to clips submitted from viewers it would allow his community to perhaps grow a bit more and at least have some good interactions with his fans. Edit: Also do things like collaborations more to help bridge the gap between 2 or more content creators. If you want to solo Q spice it up with a randomizer wheel to pick a role for you and then another wheel to pick a pokemon within that role and then play it the best you can. Don't be super serious all the time, just chill out be laid back and have fun, cuz at the end of the day its just a game.

My issue with the game is that theres just nothing to do anymore, and because the matchmaking is so abysmal, it makes it undesirable to play for more than a few games at a time. I used to sit on it for hours grinding all the way up to 1600+ and then trying to maintain at least top 2000. Now, I play and get games where people quit and then we surrender in the first minute, wasting my time, or I get games where every player on my team has a sub 50% wr and you can tell by the way they play, so it gets frustrating and I end up quitting and not playing for days or even weeks at a time. Im only like 1520+ this season with only 3 days left to get to 1600 just because I havent been playing, and because I have a 65% wr this season, the game is just making it close to impossible to progress with how it pairs me with players. On another note, I noticed Phil doesnt even play anymore. Hes been playing that other moba and hasnt touched unite for what I think is weeks.

What you said about the whole "Thinking about picking it up, but not seeing a reason to", has been me since around April. I picked it up to play Ceruledge (can't miss the release of one of my favorite Pokemon), but I just feel like there's not a good enough reason for me to pick it back up at the moment. It sucks when you are also trying to kickstart your career in content creation, so your focus is mostly on that, instead of actually having fun.

I played the game when it first dropped. The 40$ ninetails skin was insane… crazy i didnt pick up the game for 20 seasons. This was my first season buying and playing i honestly think yes we need new maps. But this can be a forever game if they actually take the time to put love into it

Started playing again ( got to master rank 4xs ) after months without playing ( mimikyu still wasn’t released) just for team mates to still not get objective n ignore pings

Adding castform as a supporter would be a very cool update and also supporters all are fairy type basically and it would be cool to have a different kind of supporter

I play Unite when I just want a quick game. I (recently) started playing HOK for a more serious and challenging gameplay. HOK's preselected roles/lanes should be implemented in Unite. I can't play a game with all attackers/speedsters any more

Maybe I'm thinking too much about it, but would it make sense that they're adding a decent roster of EX Pokemon so when it gets to high level play, it can sort of emulate the restricted Pokemon rule in VGC? I'm not saying it's a good reason, but that's the only reason I can imagine they're doing it so brazenly.

I’ve played both in the US and in Japan/Korea and I think I know why it works over there. People actually play ROLES and have a team/hive mindset. They help each other and there is less toxic pinging.

I’m one of the players Cris is talking about who left. I played thousands of matches up until about a year ago. The game, a year later, is almost exactly the same as the game I left with like 4 new playable Pokémon. That’s a joke. Until they start changing the game in meaningful ways with new things to do I won’t come back. I even have a solid trio with two friends who still play and the game is still just stale

On the miraidon point: if ex design stays the way its going, players will not look forward to updates. When that happens, you really pass the point of no return. You’d need an overhaul of the ex system to win players back if that happens

I've had a rough time staying positive lately too. Started with not getting my snow and ice winter map I loved in the past, then Miraidon meta, then we didn't get an Eevee event, slow releases (and no eevees on horizon), and the matchmaking: its been mostly log on, get a bot match OR get murderously stomped in a match that feels miserably unwinnable. I've been tilting a lot. The game has felt very, very hard lately. I've been saying after three rough seasons - each time I say at least my mmr will lower and give me better matches because I'm losing so much but they keep getting harder and harder. I feel like Timi is messing with some of us just to test and see what we do.

I actually work at fedex, this job fluctuates every Jan-feb, but this games seriously need some content.

I agree with the Miraidon timeframe, I took a break for almost a whole season. It gets frustrating to have these OP pokemon that get abused. Love yours and Cris’ content though. Keep up all the good work! Even when I get frustrated I still love watching the videos

Matchmaking is why I quit. It's just way too frustrating to play solo with a competitive mindset due to the horrendous teammates you get given as you climb.

You know, I fell off Unite, but this vid gave me an idea for someone like me to help get back in. What about a series that goes thru different mons, having game play play while you talk about the strengths, weaknesses, builds, and where that mon is sitting at?

I've played UNITE since it launched on Switch, a lot has definitely changed since and most of it for the better. Playing this game made me discover content creators like you, crisheroes and teeds, you three are my go-to when it comes to info and tips or some fun videos. I know content creation is getting tougher as the game goes slower when it comes to updates, but i just do hope you stay and make fun videos for this game... I know you're really good in this game now but part of me still wants to see you suffer... i mean challenged... lol so, give us the season 2 of road to masters comfey only! Lol

I still have fun everyday. I am a solo player most of the time and I have a few rough games I don’t enjoy, but I still keep playing. I am a day one player and have all the Pokémon. Also leveled up my items except 2 I haven’t found use for but will get too eventually. When I feel burned out with who I am playing I move on to the next Pokémon I usually rotate like 5 so I have options and am working on the achievements for emblems. I was playing less during the Elden game DLC but I finished it now so I’m back on unite. X).

Let me be clear and concise with what I think will make unite good again: -Bring back rank demotion and punish an afk by demoting them by 1 stage in a class. i.e 1 afk match kicks you from ultra 5 to veteran 1. Star count is irrelevant. So all the afk nerds get kicked to Great 3. -MMR also takes into account total matches played, so even if you're +80% wr but 200 battles, you dont fight 22k battles people. -Fix draft, Jake made a very good video on how, and my idea is EX should be decided whether or not a team should have (depends on if enemy team and ally team both have EX and are choosing it in said battle) -dont nerf what works??? and i dont mean dont nerf falinks, i ment Meowscarada (except passive) Zoroark (illusion), Dodrio, worked. buff what doesnt work. But not like ceruledge or char to make them just so meta its in every game.

I’m sure everyone has said this already, but I wish they would add shiny skins as character mastery rewards (like Paladins for example). That’d give a reason to play even if the content is dry like it is right now

I'd love to see elemental gym floors, like water, electric, and fire, or rocks all in the terrains to nurf or buff allys. Map change idea!

They should make it that replays are longer saved and are shareable, that way the contentcreators such as yourself and Chris could make coaching videos for example!

I would like to reference how brawl stars does it. They have over 15 different game modes (not all always available but do show up every now and then) and almost all of them have multiple maps to play on. AND this update they dropped even more maps. And don't get me started on the characters, they have 80+ characters and they are still making more every month. I'd say the best thing they do is make a really good presentation video about the next updates (even among other supercell games).

They realy need to release a new map, they should do so every year, it's what give the game the biggest breath of fresh air imo.

Unite is fun, but when I played after like 5 months of not playing, it felt like nothing changed except for a few knew Pokémon it needs some sprucing up to make it feel fresh again

I love these transparent videos. Content creators are people, not just show monkies for our entertainment. The game hasn't had any meaningful updates or additions (new balance patch and 3rd anniversary excluded), so I can only imagine how frustrating this has been.

I want a new map with hazards, ESPECIALLY if the hazards are randomized each game. I’d play Unite 24/7.

I feel everything that Cris is talking about. I only really play with my friend like once a week. New releases are normal unbalanced and I’d really like a new map to shake things up a bit. I got my hopes up with the Chinese version but I don’t think we will ever get that content

Biggest problem for me is how long it takes to unlock new Pokémon

I'm a relatively new player to the game and I don't really have time for a MOBA anymore, which is why I was drawn to Pokemon Unite. I'm a new father, so the short matches are a draw to me. I can play 2 random matches and 1 ranked game a day, complete the daily quests and feel like I had a fun time playing. I can reasonably get to Ultra every season, and if I have more time I'm sure I could get to Master. I've enjoyed the game from what I've played so far and look forward to playing more.

I am a fan of your since the start of unite and quit over a year ago but still check out your content to see if I should pop back in every once in a while.

Regardless if the game is dying or not, I feel like the content has not expanded in other ways outside of guides, gameplay and the ocasional reaction for the most part. I think the game is old enough to start getting videos about important events throughout its run time, like unusual tournament moments that suprised everyone, or historic events that change the meta, or patches that marked an end to an era (like the score shield meta or the flip meta) Other games that have been around for decades profit the most from those types of videos, because when know how the game works but maybe we dont know what got us here in the first place. Its a fun way of learning the history of a game through a video essay and it could make for a cool mini series.

One thing I notice is that people have stopped doing series of any type (I may be wrong though). I just don't see people making content that you can watch and re watch about this game, something that LoL has (Donkey videos are a great example). Yeah sure, is not easy to make things with the game atm, but there is still a lot of types of content that haven't been done in this community.

If I was still playing, then stuff like specialized videos covering a character build is what I'd look for. I also liked the Road to Masters series. That said, now that I'm not playing... I guess I only watch videos that are informative about the direction of the game, and even then, only if they make it to my feed. But, I suppose there are also people who play, but don't watch any videos anyway, so it's not just about people like me too lol. I've also since watched some gaming channels with like 3M+ subscribers (mainly thinking of ones in vein of Let's Game It Out and CallMeKevin). I think Spragels is actually charming and funny enough for that (especially Kevin's style), but, well, I'm just going to stop here, least I become one of those commenters who give lots of advice that may or may not work lol. (And it's not just about success anyway.)

Legendary/Mythical releases need to be more spread out. Make them special and, well, legendary. Also, the releases could be more unique. Mewtwo got two releases, and Megas, which was pretty cool. You could do something similar with Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf releasing over a set amount of time, each with a different role. A new map themed around The Distortion World, Mt. Coronet, or the Great Crater of Paldea could bring a unique atmosphere with some unique Pokemon that could cater to multiple generations of fans.

I really thought Unite was gonna come out with a new map this summer. But it's coming up on the end of July and no leaks from El Chico Eevee make me kinda nervous. We need new content DESPERATELY. Not new mons but new modes, maps, and features.

In germany we have another saying: I'll eat a broom, if this or that happens! (Ich fress nen Besen) like a nonrealistic wager for a bet you won't lose. I used to like chris videos, but for some time now he use click baits thumbnails like "YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS" or " SO OP BROKEN OMG" while the actual vid inst that interesting and just makes me feel scamed like a facebook clickbait add. While I never felt that way about your content, I ended up hating chris videos so much that it became a joke with my gf. We scroll yt and whe look for chris and say "Here comes the clickbait!" : "YOU NEED TO SEE THIS TO WIN OMG SO BROKEN" heh.... I feel like I'm being mean and I'm so very sorry... but it's kinda true though. Well anyway, I'm always enjoying your content Spragels, and I sure hope you'll continue. My love for the game dies bit by bit every single time the enemies steal Ray and win because of it. Like, even in a fair fight, I do not want to win 90% of the game just for it to say "Well, sucks to be you". It does not feel like the game values your time and energy you put into it. Also stun city -_-

Japan might be crushing it for people playing the game because they could have more content and more frequent updates right? What if the game went, step 1. Add something to Chinese version. Step 2. Test it out in the Japanese version. Step 3. Wait and see how it does before eventually adding it to our version. After all there are versions of the game with way more content.

From the perspective of somebody who plays every now and then and is happy with that, I think the game is pretty cool. I actually like slower releases because I don't feel like I have to grind when I'm not feeling the game like I used to. Or I can skip bad metas (EX releases) and not feel like I'm missing out as much. Idk, I totally sympathize with you guys, but I just don't feel the same way. I do often tube in for the tier lists and discussion vids though, even when I'm not active in the game haha. I like keeping up with news about it.

It's sad to see these things happen to games like this. It happened with another rgame that I played called gundam evolution it alongside it having no crossregion and crossplay in general it just died. I just hate to see in general.
