Seems it was years ago that I first heard about TomBot and was interested in purchasing one. Didn't realise that there was so much further development and investment needed to bring it to market. I think people are beginning to lose interest.

Yes, I think you are right... I became interested in 2020, followed the project but nothing seemed to change about this puppy so I kind off forgot about it, time went by, suddenly I remembered today and decided to search about it to see the price and details... To say I was surprised it wasn't yet being sold is the least! It's taking so much time, unfortunately 🙁 I hope people will still be interested. Well, time to forget about this again and let time take it's course.

Personally I do start to wonder if the whole thing is just a money making thing, they only ever seem to ask for more and more with little to actually show for it and we've only ever seen one suposed prototype. I started looking at it after my elderly mother lost her little dog and thought this would be excellent, but since then even my mums died so that was all pointless. If "Jennie" was anything like they claim you'd have thought in 3yrs they would have got enough traction and big time backers that it would be on the shelves by now, even if it was a thousand of dollars, but its not so it makes me wonder if once they have milked it for all its worth the whole thing will vanish over night 🙄

@@PhoneVidoes My thoughts exactly. You would have thought that they would have known the regularity hoops they would have had to jump through band the time scales involved. The original demos of the prototype were good, let’s hope it wasn’t just a con.

@@George-1939 When you think Sony (OK thats a massive company) bought us their first AIBO dog in 1999 which is over 20yrs ago now you'd have thought the basic frame work for these kinds of robotics would be well in place. I feel they are getting too hung up on the whole FDA approval aspect, ignore that for now and bring something to market now, sell that and then use profits from a regular Jennie to then go for your FDA approved version. These days 3-5yrs is a massive timescale when it comes to electronics.

@@bertam.7726 Same here. I keep forgetting about it for months, then randomly remembering when I feel like it and checking back on it. Disappointing how there’s never much to see.
