we are not raciest you know that I'm white i watch you all the time i am sick of the gov trying to separate humans united we stand divided we will all fall we must stick together
First it was black against white. Now it's rich against poor. When there's friction, there's a profit. Even I knew that it was the Democrats who formed the KU KLUX KLAN. Known that since I was a cub. Peace out.
I'm a white republican in South carolina and i always vote for Scott. I vote for morals not other bs they try to push on us. The south isn't as racist as they make it seem. We love everyone here
@@sammie8923We like you if you got good character you're good people and you have morals. Oh and I can't forget you don't got an attitude like a lot of people do today we are fine. From NC as well.
@@silhouetteimage3976 I did. Didn't you see my post? Quit trying to make things racist. You think if I was racist I'd be watching? Their reactions are a pure joy to watch and very genuine.
Ask yourselves if it makes sense that millions of people are secretly racist, and they never say it out loud to anyone, ever. Ask yourselves if it makes sense that half of America is racist, but the K club only has ~3,000 members, per the FBI. Ask yourselves why a political party only ever wants to talk about divisive social issues, but never their policies. Ask yourselves what do they gain, by dividing us?
I am so happy the truth is finally coming out about us Republicans !! We’ve always beed the FREEDOM party who wants equality for ALL, to protect the middle class, people who truly NEED help from the government to get that help, the government to get the heck out of our personal business, low low taxes, the right to protect oneself & our loved ones, & so much more‼️💪🏿💪🏻💪🏾💪🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'm white from TN and I can tell you first hand that those with racist thoughts are only a fraction of a percent...just like any northern state. There will always be ignorance...as long as that racism stays internal and not external through discrimination, we are fine. Like Thomas Sowell says...ppl always act in self-interest, so if a person of any race is what will promote that self-interest, that is who he will hire...period. Theories on race aside. People need to leave the race thing alone. I am Gen X and when I grew up race was never an issue! Black, white, or brown....we were holding it down together.
I think the racist that you do find probably don't only like black people because of let's be honest the attitude a lot of them got. Not all of them I know some blacks they ain't like how blacks on the left are. I truly think a lot of the racial animosity comes from attitude. And that's my opinion because I can tell you right now I don't like all black people and it has nothing to do with skin color but everything to do with attitude. I like black people but I just don't like the ones with that attitude that the white man owes them something. You get what I'm saying.
Thank ya'll for showing Carol Swayn of Vanderbilt University, she is brilliant.. she spoke last year in someone else's video. So informative, find more of her please.
I'm White & born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1955. However, I was not raised to be racist. Of course I knew people who were, but I my parents taught me better. Later on I registered as an Independent, because I saw pros & cons in both Democrat & Republican policies. In the past 30 years, the Democratic party has gone more and more to policies I cannot support because my Christian values have always come first. Morally, both sides have leaders who have failed, but the Democrats are far too permissive for me...especially when it comes to children and protecting them.
Love you guys. Kindness just radiates through the screen. Blessings to you from G.A. May God forgive and not take his hand off the USA. We all have to do our part.
Virginia was the first State to elect a black man to be Governor of the State,Governor Douglas Wilder with a majority of White voters.Currently our Lieutenant Governor is a Black Woman.L.Governor Winsome Sears, who is going to run for Governor when her LG term is up and she will get my vote. The South has changed and it is willing to build a better society for all people.I live outside the Capital of Richmond in a nice community with people from all over.We have people from Italy,Ecuador,China,India,South Africa plus a mix of Black and White Americans. We know each other and we plan our community together in our HOA. We all work for the common good of our community. It’s the best place I have ever lived.
Shawn/Mel - thanks for taking the time to make this video. I live about 20 minutes from where the George Floyd riots happened. This was an incident that shook us all. That being said, the damage done to businesses, the target that was put on cop's backs, and the division that was sown by the democrats was unforgivable. The fact of the matter is, there are bad cops. There are racists. There are bad people out there and they come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. As a conservative who respects the Constitution, I want you to know that your willingness to push back against the Republican "narrative" of being racists is refreshing. As Carol has stated, the Republican Party was originally the party that formed specifically to combat slavery. The reason you don't see Republicans screaming "we're all equal" at the top of our lungs, is we don't need to shout out, what we already know it to be existentially true, deep in our hearts. Nothing is more insulting to me than a politician who claims any race is held back, simply because of their skin color. And that politician is the only person who can help them get ahead. That sentiment is unforgivable. If we really wanted to take a major step towards erasing racism, I'd suggest we vote RED, down the ticket. Republicans/Conservatives, of all walks of life, seem to get along and thrive, just fine. It's the rest that are more concerned about their group identity, than what really matters....friends, family, and spirituality/God. The two of you are always welcome at my house/table. Thanks for making a video that sows unity....not division. Appreciate you very much.....and you have a new subscriber!
Shawn you hit it right on the head, It's all about the vote, they slither out of their hole every four years and lick all over you (Like a puppy) and tell you how important you are and treat you like your their best friend until election day and then the day after they would not even P on you if you were on fire. I also agree with Mel, I am an Independant with strong conservative values, pro-life and Christian and I vote for the candidate who best follows my values.
I grew up in southern WV. When I was a kid, everyone was a democrat because they believed they were for poor people and republicans were for rich people. By the time I was in high school, everyone had switched to republican because of religious beliefs in opposition to abortion and traditional family values.
This channel will also gain patrons for learning the truth. We all have a right to the truth. We also have a right to close the divide and live in unity. Live as we all are Americans and proud of it. To be proud of our country, our American Flag, ourselves and each other.
I grew up in the 60s. There were liberal Democrats, like Hubert Humphrey, and there were Southern Democrats, who were conservative. There were conservative Republicans (like Barry Goldwater) and liberal Republicans. When Reagan was elected in 1980, the Southern Democrats all switched to the Republican Party to vote for him, because they were conservative like him. Since then the Liberal/Conservative split has pretty much tracked party lines.
Thank you for speaking out Shawn & Mel. There are so many in this country that benefit from keeping us all divided. We all need to stick together and stop letting them do it.
Over the past 3 months or so I've been hearing something I never thought I would hear. Black Americans saying they will never go back to the Democrat plantation.
I’m telling ya people, reading, or listening to audio books is power, information is power, I was lucky that I loved to read and my dad instilled that in me, from when I can remember my dad and I wouid go to the library, and we had great conversations, I always liked how my dad said that regardless of your race etc, we should call ourselves Americans, and not white Americans, black Americans etc
It amazes me just how bad the democrat party has to be before black folks start seeking truth. Keep going. It's great to see. But I really dont understand why it is taking so long for a population of people who do live conservatively to see that voting Dem is against their best interests.
Oh wow, I’m starting to believe that even though we all grew up in the same state our educations were no where near the same. Now I don’t know what county you were in school. I went to school in Baltimore county. I know the schools I went to were the best in the country. Making me believe all other schools is Maryland we’re close to the same!
Personally, I think everyone should be Independent. It may mean you vote the majority of the time for one party over another but that's ok. Vote where your values lie and for the candidate that you feel represents your beliefs.
I dont care about race or any other BS group. If your policies match the values and morals of our country then you will get my vote. Dont vote emotionally.
@@cherryhshso you are voting for someone who literally threatens to take America out of NATO. As a veteran you people scare me for the future of our country
I know Carol Swain and have talked to her often. She rocks! Let me give you a lesson on me being a Republican. My wife is black. One day my biracial daughter came up to me and said "Dad, the only reason you married mom is to cover up your racism!" Because she has her dad's gift for sarcasm, she did not have to end the sentence. I will fill it in for you! "...... because we all know, all Republicans are racist!" For those of you who still don't get it, she knows that is not true. And yes, my wife, started out Democrat when we were married 31 years ago. (only because that is how her parents voted) Then she realized she was much more conservative than the Democrat Party. Today, she is a full fledge conservative and, in some instances, further right than me. She calls Trump her President to this day.
The souths vaules have changed on the issue of race for the most part. Dont get it wrong we still got them issues but they not like they use to be. I think they like to use the party switch because now a lot of people in the Republican party believe in states rights which was a democrat platform we in the South have always believed in states rights and the government has a particular job and its job is not to get into state affairs turn on the civil rights of bills they like to use the party switch because there was some Republicans who didn't completely agree with the bills like I believe Barry Goldwater was one and I'm almost positive that he wasn't against it for racial reasons he just didnt agree with all of that bill. States rights has always been a part of the Southern platform for the simple reason that is the one thing besides the Second amendment we can use to keep the federal government in line and in check there's a reason why desegregation took so long in the south and that's because we were trying to fight the idea of the federal government coming into a state and telling people of that state how they should live. I'm 25 I'm from the south I'm a straight-up give you my honest opinion on segregation I don't believe it was right to force segregation nation but I also don't believe it was right to force integration I believe that is up to the people of the state. Republicans are the only ones who actually try to keep the federal government from doing everything they want to like when it comes to the 2nd amendment if the federal government for example pass the law saying they are going to ban guns by the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights and state constitutions states have a right to say no to the government an thats really what the south is about today just telling the government no now it probably wasn't like that too much in the 60s the racial problem was probably a little bit bigger but the goal was still ultimately the same telling the federal government no u cant do this. It's the same thing with the Civil war the federal government technically could not take away anyone slaves and the only reason that even happened was because of southern rebellion if it wasn't for the South choosing to rebel against the Union slavery would have lasted a lot longer. And the only reason Lincoln was really able to do anything is because in my opinion he basically shitted all over the Constitution and the Bill of Rights because he's suspended habeas corpus which gives power to the president to suspend parts of the Constitution and if you actually believe in the Constitution I don't think anyone would be okay with a president doing that. Put it in 2 days context for example if Trump wins the presidency end the left and Democrats who wanted to rebelle and Trump suspended part of the Constitution everyone knows for a fact people would hate Trump for that even though Lincoln set the precedent for that to happen. I don't believe in suspending any parts of the Constitution for whatever reasons I don't care if there is a rebellion or not i dont believe it is the president's job or the government's job to suspend habeas corpus just because they think it is the right move. So yes wow a lot of the Republicans stance today probably resembles a Democrats of the 60s it's not for the reason everyone think it is we literally just want to keep the federal government at Bay and I think black people would understand that the most because I mean let's be real the United States government has done some really f***** up s*** to black people 😂why would anyone want to put all their trust into the federal government I have no clue.
Don't feel too bad about shitty public school education. I went to a decent middle class public school system(many years ago😂), was a good student, college education, liked history, and still don't/or didn't know a lot of the specifics of a lot of history until You tube. As per usual, the system is the problem. And where you went to school, which had additional issues caused by other systems, imo. In short, the system is rarely our friend.
Much love from New Zealand. I hope Trump wins...he may be an a$$hole but he's an Americans first kinda a$$hole and not a career politician. It would seem the US public grow tired of political bullshittery.
Two dixiecrats became Republicans and the rest returned to the original party of slavery. You are spreading lies and propaganda. Democrats are still judging everyone by their skin color and only then deciding how to treat each person.
@@reality1958how long did it take? I'm from Arkansas and we had one republican governor before 1992, our senators were democrats til the 90s, and we didn't have a republican legislator til 2012. Yes the south has went republican but not because of racism. If that were the case we would still be democrats. It's for the reasons mentioned in this video. We want small government, free will, 1st and 2nd amendment rights, the constitution to be enforced as written etc. We don't care about anyone's skin tone.
There is no love for Confederate statues. A lot of Southerners are related to some of the Confederate soldiers and it's simply a heritage thing. You cannot change history, no matter how many statues you tear down. Have you ever wondered why Germany still allows visitors to the concentration camps? It's not something Germany is proud of. Yet they accept it as part of their history. We Southerners aren't at all proud of slavery. But like Mel stated, we have made the biggest changes. I have no racist family or friends. It's the Democrats that fuel the race fires. Time for us ALL to come together and take back our country and become unified!
@@dcarter4399 Did you compare concentration camps to pro slavers? It’d be one thing if you compared a statue of Hitler to a pro slaver. I’m not looking to change history at all - that’s the GOP Governor of Florida who likes to burn books and not teach children about slavery in America.
