I love this episode, it wasn't about Black, White or any other race or ethnicity. It was about humanity, it was about fellowship, it was about genuine caring about others. Watched it many times over....
As I single Mom I bought a smaller old home. Every time I would pull up in my driveway I would see how chipped the paint was on my home. It was discouraging. A group of High School kids got donations and came and painted my home. They cleaned up the yard and pulled weeds. They even planted flowers. I got to choose the paint even. My children and I appreciated this so very much. I will never forget it.
It great that there are good people out there who will help people when they need help. Its even better to kn I w that there are members of the younger generation who are not all about themselves.
That's really amazing the school kids done that for you, Im from N Ireland and il be honest, I know and see the school kids here, and I honestly don't think any would do a thing like that, it seems in today's world it really bothers them to lift their heads up and say a simple hello. Also of spoilt kids, and they are a completely different breed than in my days, I'm 38yold and I think the world is becoming soulless .
I am also a senior and believe me it's hard to find someone to help with handy man stuff. Then when you find someone they charge a fortune or don't show up. These guys are great and show their love from their hearts, not trying to stick it to a senior. Bless you guys and the work you do. 🙏❤

I struggle with mental illness and I only leave my house to walk my dog. I have somehow managed to become very isolated. I have to tell you that watching your channel has brought me a huge amount of joy. Watching you and your family doing all this good in the world has made me feel not so alone. You are actually helping me to cope with mental illness. Keep doing what you are doing you are a very special person and the world needs more of you. I pray that our heavenly Father continues to bless not only you and your families, but every one that you are able to minister to with your ministry. I can say that you have really touched my heart. I have been down in the dumps lately. I have been really depressed as I had no choice but to close down my business, doing lawn and landscape work. This is my passion. Also, if you know enough to make a guess on how much this video would bring them in ad sense then you also likely know that this can swing wildly depending on MANY factors. Time of year, how people watch the video on what type of device, if people watch all the way they, or stop / start a few times. All of these things plus many more things all play a part of how much a creator makes on a video. I know creators who have a million views on a video and made less than $500 on that video. You are throwing out big numbers that mean absolutely nothing and for the life of me, I can’t really understand why you’d even care what they make in ad sense when they are doing such great work for FREE for many people all over the USA. The point remains...the people receiving the work are not paying a cent to have this work done and viewers also aren’t paying a thing to watch great content, they don’t have it stuck behind a pay wall. C’mon, be better than this and having your socks in a knot and throwing out wild guesses on how much they make on a video, the facts are you have no idea what they are making.
Cabin on the Hill. I am an older black man.Randomly ran across your channel and stopped. I saw two big, tattooed, bearded white men and made certain assumptions on sight alone. Not only do have my apologies, you have a new subscriber. As I watched your videos, I watched men who talked the talk and walked the walked. Faith based,community, helping others. Ethnicity, black, white ,old played no part with your heart, humanity did. As I watched father and son interact with this older black woman with such care and respect, not only did I subscribed but hope you realize sir, the man you have raised your son to be. This gives me hope.....PS. excellent paint job, and on the other projects I've seen. 👍👍👏👏🙏

He obviously mentioned that important fact because he believed most would understand. But clearly it needs to be explained to you, growing up in the 50s-60s in America. He was considered a 2nd class citizen, blacks weren’t allowed to vote and many parts of the country was segregated. The civil rights movement also took place during this time period where blacks had to fight for equality and still faced gross injustices decades following. He would of been a child/adolescent subjected to such evil and turmoil simply because of the color of his skin! So this is why “he thinks the way he does” it wasn’t an option not to! Such a ridiculously insensitive statement! I’m sure we all wish we were privileged enough to view the world through your lenses, it would sure be filled with a lot less stress, anxiety and heart ache. God bless ❤

Other countries do not view race in the same way or raise it on the same type of political pedestal because it wasn't an issue in the same way it was here. When the two older women hugged, it was the most beautiful. They have grown up in the same era and have seen many things happen, and the two women speaking to each other in that moment was just precious. I am assuming they’re from Gen X (my generation) or the boomer generation. The flag was the icing on the cake. ❤❤❤

Not only did they do it for free, but they did a complete and quality job, no half ass cut corners and they did every little thing, caulking the siding, the spray foam, boarding up gaps and fixing the porch, a perfect paint job and went the extra mile to decorate with plants and flowers. Everything about this is amazing.

It reminded me of restoring my parent's house as a kid. Their bowling league helped us paint, my grandparents came from out of state (both sets) to help stretch carpeting and replace plumbing, and just the for of us working on everything all the time.
I'm very late. This made me very emotional. This is exactly what America needs. We have a lot of politicians who want us to divide us, but we see through them. This is what we are made of. This is what this country stands for. Lifting each other up! Supporting our neighbors. Loving each other and paying it forward. I'm so glad you had both families involved in this. Can you ask home owners and neighbors to continually call city/county to pick up the items in the yard to dispose of ? You do a perfect job and their unwanted items washer, wood, etc. stand out. Praise God you are a servant and will continually be blessed !!!!! Be safe !❤

Once my dad was getting rid of some old furniture and as he was putting it outside this lady comes and asks if she can take it my dad was like “of course!!” And she started explaining how she just moved here and was poor, she was being mistreated by her landlord because she was black. My dad was so moved he said wait and ran back inside and grabbed every furniture we didn’t need and gave it to her. I’m talking about a whole set of dining chairs, a bunch of furniture . She started crying and thanking him saying that he was angel. My dad was so happy our unwanted furniture got to help someone in need.
I watch all you guys mowing ridiculously overgrown yards and I’m always amazed at the results. Beautiful spirits you are! Showing Love as Jesus taught us to do. May His blessings be on you and your family. ❤
What I love about watching this video is that the idea was to repaint the home. Which takes a lot of work, but once they got into the project, it seems the bond happened and more and more love went into the home's new look!

One of hope, friendship, dedication and/or love all titled something a bit different. On many nights this "last story" is clipped due to time, but quite often even on a busy news day they still fit it in.

I just became a new subscriber. After watching this episode and reading the comments it just warmed my heart and renewed my faith in well at least some. I’m 68 a mom and retired military veteran. I’m a woman of great faith and God’s word says He created us in His image and my interpretation is that includes every shade of color. You two are a wonderful example of what “Love Thy Neighbor” means. Just imagine what the world would be like if we all just reached out once a day and provided someone with a random act of kindness. This doesn’t have to be as awesome as painting someone’s house it can be just a simple hello how are you, can I get that door for you etc. this dad led a great example for his son to follow and I bet this son is teaching his own children the act of “Love Thy Neighbor “. May the good Lord bless you and watch over and protect you as you continue to share the of caring and sharing your gifts and talents.

Guys…I’m sitting here with excruciating pain in my right hip watching y’all fix up a home for such a beautiful family, and the longer I’m watching, the less my hip is hurting. I used to be able to do this stuff for people in need, but my body just can’t anymore. I’m so thankful I’ve found your channel, because I get to feel involved in a community again.

This is what building a community looks like. My neighbors aren’t exactly the easiest people to communicate with, and offer any form of help to. I still try. I have helped the little older woman now her lawn, and I did small paint jobs here and there. If I can help, then I try. Many people have forgotten how to live as a community
" We painted"...haha. You all restored that exterior - wow, all the real hard work, the knowhow, the dedication to doing it right and filling in allllllll the gaps, replacing wood, digging deep with the HARD WORK - impressive and so inspiring to be better people and help others. The renovation is fantastic, but most importantly, with all the caulking you did for the house the insulation will dramatically reduce her power bill and that alone is a major plus. It is truly a blessing when you help people out and it creates a domino effect.
It takes a special kind of someone to have this much patience, generousity, kindness, and skill all in one. This is real life superhero stuff. Beautifully done, y'all.
