I think the editing was fine for the video, it's relatively short and it doesn't really have to go in-depth on the experience, I feel that's something you should expect from a longer documentary-style video. I gotta comment that these days this hectic editing makes no sense anymore, everything is too bombastic and loud and fast, it's at 100% all the time which is always no good.
Perhaps Dani should consider a stint in F1 now that he has announced his retirement from MotoGP. Cannot believe his pace first time in the car compared to the reference lap... I know he is a world class racer and athlete, and certain skills and technique would translate from riding the GP bike to driving the F1 car. But still entirely different machine, number of wheels and amount of traction, different lines and speeds, braking, downforce, etc. Remarkable job.
Adam Petten completely different cars to the 2012 RB8. Way more down force, electric hybrid power helping on the qualifying lap, bigger tyres etc. I think most top level MotoGP riders could do well in F1 if they got the chance
Its been told by the drivers themselves, including Marquez or Rossi, Pedrosa and Stoner, in terms of pure talent, the very best. But a race and a championship requires more than talent.
I wonder where the minute thirteen reference time came from. Did they pull it out of the air? And Mark should have jumped in the car and done some laps. Now that would've been a reference point.
They should give him a car that actually qualified at Spielberg. The much slower RB10 did 1:11 here with Vettel. I say slower as the RB8 was 3 seconds faster than the RB10 in Australia. Even accounting for track differentials....Dani is exceptionally gifted though.
"We're super stoked about this, and I hope you guys are too. Soo eh...Nej!" hahah! Typiskt oss svenskar när vi säger något fel på engelska så reagerar vi med "nej" istället för "no" :D
Stupidest thing i ever heard ! Gasly would crush him and even Hartley ! They all get their own sport ! What is next ? Put a plane pilot in Fiat Panda Racing ?
@@timschellekens7967 2012 Red Bull which is much faster than the 2014 or RB10. Vettel did 1:11 in RB10 and likely would do 1:09 in RB8. Vettel did 1:26 at Australia in RB8 and 1:31 in RB10.
FYI - Dani is not a MotoGP champion...he's been championship runner up three times, but never won He did win titles in the 125cc and 250cc classes, but then they aren't MotoGP
Lfc Terb if you dont win the championship your not the champion. Simple as that. Hes former 125cc and 250cc champion not more and not less. And pedrosa IS NOT a legend yet. He will be an official MotoGP Legend on November 15th, 2018. Press Day in Valencia
The Championschip itself is MotoGP. MotoGP as a category is fairly new, a few years ago it still was 125, 250 and 500, there was no MotoGP category, so yes, he's a 3 time MotoGP champion in 125 and 2 times in 250 but he's not a champion in the MotoGP class
Exactly. The MotoGP series consists of multiple classes, one of which is called MotoGP. I can understand the misunderstanding. Dorna wants the name brand out there so they don't really call it Grand Prix motorcycle racing anymore.
ALIENdrifter66 if you look at the official reglement of the 2018 season on the FIM website you will see that the series is still called "FIM World Championship Grand Prix". Its clearly stated that Moto3, 2 and MotoGP are just the name of the technical reglement in each class.
@@sanal.abraham Not pro F1 no. The only time that reference lap resembles, since the Red Bull Ring was christened, is Charles Leclercs Formula 2 pole position lap in 2017 which was also a 1:13.396. Leclerc is in F1 now, in 2018 he raced for Sauber and this year he's going to race for Ferrari and he, by far, out classed his F2 rivals so you could say it was an F1 quality driver in an F2 car.
@@ethownzbh The RB10 which lapped Australia in 1:30 with Ricciardo and 1:31 with Vettel did The Red Bull Ring in 1:09.8 with Ricciardo and 1:11 with Vettel. This RB8 never raced here but did 1:26 at Australia with Seb and 1:26.8 with Webber. Tracks are different but Max or Valterri could likely do around 1:08.5 in that car. For a beginner 4.5 seconds behind the fastest guys here is incredible. Most likely he'd hit a wall around 1:10.5-1:11 in the RB8 or 1:05 in a new Mercedes or RB15 after years of practice. That last 1.5 seconds that separates merely very good racers from the greats is the toughest.
I'm curious about a few things... reference lap 1:13.396... where's that from? What year car is that? Since toro rosso and honda just partnered up this year... As that reference lap is 10 seconds off Bottas' pole lap this year.
what i like about dani is he can improve his performance quickly and adapt to the circumstances but he never have the changes to win the motoGP World Champions
