The scholarships arent even real. They often force college players to take simplified classes that they intentionally make easy to pass. I did not play college sports, but I can tell you that my experience at the University of Alabama was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. I met so many great people, and the time living away from my parents really allowed me to grow and acclamate to the real world. Call me naive, but these football and basketball players that are so wildly gifted like Zion, Trevor Lawrence the Clemson QB, my advice is to just enjoy college. I am all for the athletes that are truly great going out and getting their money after one year, but I also want to see more emphasis being put on finishing that 4 years and getting that degree. Too many athletes get injured and all of a sudden their career is gone and they have no way to make a source of income. The NCAA needs to make incentives for playing for 4 years. I also feel these college athletes should be paid but that's another discussion. These young players in college need to complete their degree to set themselves up to be successful after basketball. If there is a rule change its should be 2 years of college or 1 year of international ball or 1 year of the g league(increase G-League salary). I just want more time to evaluate players properly because the one and done has given us more bust than ever, dropped the average age of the league, and watered down the game. Yes players are more athletic but outside of pure athleticism the quality of the game has dropped significantly since 2005.

It's easy to say how unimportant money is when you have millions.... But if you don't have millions and have a chance to get it, you're gonna go for it! the same amount of money you need when you dont have it is the same amount you need when you do have it. I can guarantee any of them will agree some amount of money is necessary. Saying money isnt important is more about the realization that a certain point, the extra money isnt necessary. Or in this case, the money you risk might not even be worth it, because Zion could earn himself more by coming back and playing.
