I will say, this week my MTG goldfish playmat was lauded at my LGS commander night. Good job on the quality and artwork for those!

Game was awesome. Seth could actually have won 2 turns earlier, the first turn tomer attacked him just by casting the rite and blocking. 2 of seths dragons would've died, but so would tomer's board and purphoros would've ceased to be a creature. seth would've had 3 dragons still alive to land the killshot

I love seeing Lonis here, by far my favorite commander deck I’ve ever played. The value is off the charts.

Seth asking how he didn't know briarridge patrol existed when watching him play "cluelamog" was what got me into the goldfish channel. (The deck was sweet, look it up.)

Crim's trolling is nothing. I have crafted the ultimate troll deck. Attractions, stickers, day/night, energy, dungeons, monarch, initiative, foretell, adventures, mutate, dice rolling, suspend, cumulative upkeep. I put them all together into one deck. I played it in pods, it's maddening.

Wouldve been cool to see you guys play this via spelltable this week, since you all own the decks in paper

I remember making a deck full of 1 for 1 spot removal in the form of Mangara of Corondor, focusing on exiling effects. Even played the bad ones like angelic edict. It was actually shocking how much people respect the removal and will not attack you. Sure if they banded together, they could overwhelm you, but that never happened.

It was so late that it didn't matter but I was disappointed that Seth didn't end up using Vesuva to copy the Imprisoned Purphoros

I thought the plants were a joke like literally taking the playmats off of Richard's wall, but I did understand the joke to be Tomer giving away the plants before he could kill them.

I want to note: I actually love the night/day design and the new Werewolves in general. I also have no beef with general "add a new facet to the game" mechanics like Monarch, Initiative, etc. They're some of my favorites

So it turns out, this video came out in the middle of GP Vegas. I got to see Crim at GP vegas, and he's a totally awesome guy in real life. I wish I could have met the rest of the crew, but they were in other rooms I guess.

For Day/Night, honestly if there are no daybound or nightbound permanents in play, it's "technically" tracked by the game, but it doesn't matter. If a daybound or nightbound permanent enters play, you can just retro-actively track it in most cases, since probably somebody will have recently either passed turn without casting a spell, or cast multiple spells on their turn. You do have to be able to reconstruct the last couple of turn cycles, and this does fall apart if everyone has been playing exactly one spell on each of their turns for a long while, but that's rather unlikely.

Turns out casting everything at instant speed for the entire game is pretty good.

When is Tomer going to learn to tell Crim, "do what you're gonna do man" and stop trying to negotiate with someone who has nothing.

My first EDH was mono R. Kumano with pings, threaten, card draw and jank. Playing in paper was ALWAYS better than MtGO or MtGA. Wasn't there a token printed that can track Night/Day

So I think 45:00 was a mistake, wouldn't Phil get double copy with copying Glenalendra and be able to interact on board, plus being able to protect himself in the future? It was actually a perfect move to bounce the Minotaur before this, Crim had no way of knowing but it turned out perfectly. Edit: timestamps

Oh man, instead of Aetherizing if Seth had Rite of Replication'd the double strike dragon he could have wiped out Tomer's board. Then probably killed him within a turn or two. Edit: At least he did it eventually! :P

I feel like all of the Werewolves going off/on at once is a big upside? Having to track Night/Day if you only run 1 Night/Day card in your deck is a huge PITA, but so was tracking which werewolves to flip when they're not all the same way, so I wouldn't say the Night/Day is that much worse than the old system of 'track each card separately'. I feel like Lonis is not as inherently good as Tatyova or Aesi, but offers a much more interesting deck arguably, and you can at least take pride in not being landfall based. Landfall is so inherently good that it feels like cheating in Simic, especially with all the great land bounce effects, that pretend that bouncing a land is always a drawback.

Not sure what the plan was with that Rakdos Return. Everyone was aimed at Phil and Crim telegraphed the ability to remove Phil's hand. How do we get from that position to letting Phil cast his entire hand and THEN casting Return targeting everyone else instead? MakingEnemies101

I disagree about the great aurora being “that’s it right”. I love to play it out cause 9 times out of 10 the player that cast it doesn’t have a guaranteed win over “3” other player’s collective resources even if they set up for a better result off of the aurora. There are fringe cases where the 3 players get no permanents or the aurora caster gets the combo on the spot.

I got so mad when he played duplicant for no reason. If he had some simple math he would have seen that there was no reason to remove any of Phil's blockers and then not playing rite to wipe his board and make a giant army of duplicants?

The next time Crim gets on his "you're not gonna do ____, are you?" Shit people needa commit to only doing that. Grossest attempt at politics I've ever seen. Make him use those resources and then punch him to death for being a tool. Then half your episodes won't be one guy just talking in circles like a looney toons characters
