grew up in the st louis suburbs, we played a variety of fuzzball where we would stuff a whiffle ball bat with socks and then wrap it in duct tape. we'd get super elaborate with tape designs and a constant source of recess playground arguments was whether or not someone had used anything other than socks as the stuffing. grand old times

16 inch softball is called cabbage ball here in New Orleans and is played on a blacktop with like 60 feet between the bases. The season just started for the elementary school summer leagues. What a chaotic game. If the ball lands fair, it’s a fair ball even if it spins foul

I play 14” slowpitch, it’s so goddamn hard to hit a home run. The ball gets squisher as the game goes on, so you can only hit a homer in the first 3 innings most of the time. Men have to catch it barehanded, women can use gloves. 10/10 would recommend

we used to play 'box ball' in grade school. pitcher and hitter. a box drawn on the school wall. tennis ball or in a pinch, one of those bright orange street hockey balls. fun times.

It might just end up being a video very similar to this one (not that I'd complain), but it would be super cool to see WGI play some of the bat-and-ball games played in Latin America. I think it would especially be cool to see them play Plaquita, which is a bit more similar to cricket than it is to baseball, but Vlad Guerrero Sr has said that it helped make him such a good "bad ball" hitter.

I had to help my parents coach my younger sisters softball team a few years back, and I had to coach the pitchers because my parents couldn’t pitch and neither could any of the players, I think the most work I’ve ever put into a sport was the long nights trying to learn to pitch

You should try a game called paperball wich is where you take a stress ball and rap pit in tape and cover it in paper then put tape to look like laces and you hit it with your hand and it is thrown under hand the field is 30 ft big and all other baseball rules apply me and my friend play it but it is fun
