I love these guys to death. But often times I question their level of common sense 😂. I mean granted I’ve played these games for a combined 4K+ hours. But ffs neebs LOOK AT WHATS ON THE SCREEN

The constant criticism of the multiplayer system without any consideration that it’s for balance and performance got kinda irritating. It shows how little they know about the games (which is fine). But if you could have coop throughout the game without invaders to threaten it MASSIVELY dampens the experience. It’s a system that has separated these games for over 10 years. SO QUIT WHINING. It’s meant to keep a group of friends from steamrolling through the content that’s meant to challenge and inspire personal growth. Being able to invade and display your power in a pvp setting is like nothing else. And if coop was like this it would ruin it for a LOT of people
@@jordanuecker7744 I disagree you should be able to play with friends without fighting other people. I mean, not everyone wants to grind, an option to turn off invaders wouldn’t be difficult nor would stop players from turning it back on. Plus the whole using items for multiplayer is kind off ridiculous.

No. You need to step back and consider how much of your Rationale here is based on just wanting to bully people who do not have the same amount of free time to continually throw at certain very superficial and even artificial skill ceilings
@@iller3 Sure you played pvp for that long but you clearly missed my point. It’s not about bullying. It’s about taking a character you have put time and care into and testing it. Once you have beaten the pve enough the only challenge is other players. Sure there are invasions. And they ARE important to the balance of the game. When you summon help for the challenge (which I know may shock you but these games are meant to test you) you also open yourself to invasion. Again this is meant to keep you on you’re toes and not steamroll/dampen the experience. The reason these games have attracted so many people is that they have avoided the snowflake sunshine and rainbows philosophies of pleasing everyone that had plagued modern gaming. And people have said this for over a decade in praise. Like they told neebs at some point “yeah this really isn’t what it’s like normally” you are SUPPOSED to be on edge. You are supposed to feel personal accomplishment and growth when you beat something. But there is a large portion of the player base that gets greater satisfaction through setting up duels. In the days of the dinosaurs the pvp community was about respect. Sure we are there to kill you. But the good ones that know have a strict honor system. Instead of blindly running and attacking your invaders out of fear. Try a gesture. And I can guarantee at least 75% will show you respect. That is how our pvp community is. And even though you have been a pvper for a long time I question how much of that is in these games. Which is totally fine. But please don’t try and change what has made these games fun to our community for over a decade. Because it often comes from a place of frustration and ignorance to what is actually going on. The more people ask for changes like this the more the developers are strong armed into rash changes that ruin every other franchise. Pleasing everyone is dangerous. Ask CoD WoW and assassins creed how that went
and to be fair, that is how most players react to a Fromsoft game their first time in.... even converted true-believer Ben Yahtzee Croshaw at one point hated Demons Souls and put it down for a while until its gradual growing acclaim eventually forced him to face it in DarkSouls1
@@iller3 Actually they only made Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring good. The earlier ones are not and that's why people did not like their games. Now people played their latest good ones and they are very popular.

Appsro is 100% right that this is how Elden Ring's co-op should have been to begin with. Honestly it's how all open world game co-op modes should work.
Honestly at this point with technology every co op game should be like this open world or not but doesn't it seem like the more we progress with technology game wise the less we actually use it in games prime example is the co op for elden ring when a simple mod gives us something that a brand new game should already have and was repeatedly asked for by the consumers before launch
@@shdwfxgamerz7667 no thats not true. Souls like games always had this multiplayer System and we love it. Its you casual "souls like" Player say it should be like this. It takes away the entire invading System so what about taking away that System so you can coop in peace and ruin the guy for the rest of the community and no im not a invader i did it like 10 times but having like 20k souls and then geting invaded is just something no other games allowes you.

@awhellnah__they mean a completely seamless, not having to summon every single time you get you a new area but can just play through with everyone constantly, as though the game were meant to be fully multiplayer and not just summoned cooperators and random invaders

i think the reason for the dumpster is that there's no dedicated camera person. So it's editing wise not up to "cinematic" standards. I'm not sure how many people would really mind, but they probably know best.
If I remember correctly they said something about it when they were playing Halo. The channel was made for longer content where yea they don't do it cinematically and it's more just raw streaming with little or maybe no editing. Good for doing playthroughs and one offs so it makes sense now that I think about it.
Agree and disagree while it would be awesome I love watching every second of them playing this which we couldn’t really get from the main channel both tho would be a lot of extra work hence the dumpster but in a perfect world I wish
The "raw" content like this is what I love. It's why I tend to prefer the podcast-y episodes you guys have, since I wanna chat to you irrespective of the game!
Iv been watching them since 2015 and this is the style they used to do that grabbed my attention (and eventually over a million people) once they started doing all this overly editied stuff and focused more on telling cinematic stories in games than being funny i stopped watching majority of their content except for podcasts. I think im not alone in this as their subscriber base has not grown in years

I'm so glad I found this...every dynamic of y'all playing this together..I love it. I hope y'all continue more than a few play sessions. Some tips, that you may already know by the next episode. To help with the get gud process...Appsro, unlock the target and sprint away sometimes when the environment allows for it, after distance from target, lock back on..Neebs, what would help you is probably lighter equipment, it will make the roll more responsive, among other things. Less weight, faster movement. Weapons effect this too. Also, I recommend you play with a bow or ranged weapon when you find one, as a secondary. And, sprint more. These are good tips for all of you. Anthony, tank I think. Also..did anybody even dual wield or two hand a weapon? Get aggressive..learn the ways of the roley poley, get gud.. lol..this show could be awesome..when Appsro went to pee and I watched sad Johnny stare at the wall for a few minutes, I got why Neebs needed the cyder. I laughed so much watching this..thank y'all.

This is quickly becoming my favorite channel. I love the unedited versions. The length of them is awesome and this trio works so so well. Y'all bicker some but its playful bickering. I hope to see so much more of this from y'all 3 in particular. I have been watching y'all for 6 years now and finally I'm getting what i have been asking for all this time which is longer videos.
The fact neebs already rolled instead of using just shield shows that this series might not be a one off trick, I hope to see them be the elden lords together!

I'm so glad they started doing videos like this. Just some friends playing a game together while recording. I love their edited cinematic videos but I've always wanted them to also just chill and play games.
I really want to watch more of these 3 playing Elden Ring. Maybe Neebs will get good! I will say, without Simon, Neebs slides into the complainer/bad player quite easily
I love this channel, y’all. Your main channel is just excellent work - well edited and produced videos. The stuff you guys make for this channel is a different kind of great. It’s got the same great feel of the podcast, y’all just hangin out having a good time.
So many hilarious moments in this. Downloaded and installed the mod to play with some friends of mine as well. Definitely needed it at release, makes it so much more enjoyable.
@Neebs Magic Dumpster Neebs specifically. You kept asking for direction/instruction, and I could feel the frustration so here's a couple tips to help you out. 1. The reason they keep leveling up but you never have enough runes is because they never told you this. When you die, you drop ALL your runes, BUT you can go pick them up again (the small golden tree they showed you early on.) However, you only have one chance. If you die again before getting them back, they're gone for good. So try to get your runes back after every death and you can level up more. More levels = more health = you can take more hits. 2. Action in this game is meant to be heavy. It's frustraiting at first if youre used to more responsive games, but its designed to feel more impactful, and once you get a feel for it, it feels amazing to come out on top in a fight. To do that you need to change your mentality from most games. You need to think defensive first, offensive second. Only strike when theres an opening (when their back is to you, after they finished a chain attack and pause for a second, etc.) In fact, i recommend that for every boss fight, for your first attempt go in and dont attack at all. Just dodge, stay alive and look for where he/she/it pauses. After that go nuts, but do one attempt where you just stay alive and look for openings. 3. If you still feel under leveled, there are a TON of small dungeons with a single weak boss at the end. In single player, you'd be expected to clear 8 to 10 of them before even attempting that castle you cleared at the end. Go fight a few of those and you'll level up quick. 4. How you spend your level up depends on what weapons you want to use. I suspect you'd like a strength build with a good shield, but you do you. For that get lots of Vigor, Endurance, and Strength, to start out try and keep them pretty equal, and eventualy you can tweak them to however feels right for you. Get just enough Dex to eqiup your weapons and no more. Hope that helps, cuz I'd love to see more of this game! You guys are pretty much my favorite youtube channel(s), so keep up the good work!
I'm so glad I found the Neebs Magic Dumpster channel. This is more my jam (not really a survival game fan). I've watched the full Conan Exiles playthrough and it got me hooked on your channels. I'm glad to see you try some genres I like. Keep it up!! (BTW the story in elden ring is really good, it just takes time to figure things out)

Elden/souls/bourne tips Neebs: shields also dont always protect 100% damage. Some times its %80 physical or 95%. Check the physical defence in the shield stats in the equipment menu, and you need to be looking at where the attack is coming from. Doesnt work with you facing 45 degrees away from them but camera is facing them Lolol. Apprso: probably gunna need to be a glass cannon and have all blue or at least 1 red flask and put majority of points to intel, faith and FP Anthony, you may want to be a Pyro to help round this band of unsung heros all out. You can still one hand a weapon, and use the fire caster in another hand vs shield if you can work on dodge more vs blocking. hope this helps. Absolutely loved the video gents. I agree with appsro, this is what the multiplayer should have been! It would have been more enjoyable instead of feeling like a chore. Unfortunately a lot of souls OGs will defend their dang summoning system because "that's how its been done in the past" but I dont care. This is the present. I just want seamless co-op with spectator cam and horsies for all my homies. Great game tho and great video!
As a long time souls player I couldn't agree more. Making the game open world should have made them realize how much we all wanted to just go through the whole game with your friends rather than just finishing dungeons with people. It would also make it so you can build characters off of eachother rather than everyone make strength or sorcery builds
I never thought I'd see the day that you guys would tackle this titan of a game, and what better way for you to experience this game than with co-op, you guys are in for the tastiest of treats
Pro tip: If you turn those ruin fragments into the glowy stones (forgot the name) and drop them off the edge it’ll tell you whether or not you’ll die jumping from that ledge. If it shatters don’t jump; if it doesn’t shatter you’re safe.
I freaking love this mod. Did a complete playthrough with a buddy and other than the occasional disconnect, never had to mess with curled fingers or being in the right half of the zone or any other nonsense. Imo the best way to play Elden Ring

2:18:57 something funny my friend and I noticed is especially true with Godrick, but many bosses seem to be able to use their attacks with three separate timings: 1. normal timing, telegraphed and predicted like usual 2. delayed timing, they almost seem to feint, attacking half to a whole second after they normally would 3. quickened timing, they attack immediately after their telegraph

I'm binge watching through the Elden Ring playthrough again. Appsro, I am suggesting investing the occasional levels in to your strength for those times when you run out of magic for sorcery. That way you can still put up a good physical fight when you must.
You guys should grab the Golden seeds from the little Golden trees there was one on the road to Castle Morne just off to the right and up the hill, also when looking at map there are 3 churches on the Castle fight area (Weeping Peninsula) that each have a sacred tear to allow your flasks to give you more HP/FP. Would love to see you guys turn this into a series.
