Colpa and I randomized a pc box in pokemon in Scarlet and Violet! We will go back and forth picking a pokemon from the box that our opponent will have to guess with 3 hints! Once we have our teams we will then build them the best we can and then we fight in a pokemon battle!

You should do another one where you alternate questions until someone guesses it right. Person who guesses it right gets the one they chose and picks for the opponent. If it took the same number of questions then they both get what they chose.

I think this is a really fun method of choosing teams, but I think you could make it a little more interesting by giving more questions, but not being allowed to ask anything about the generation. I feel having a couple more questions per round would let you have more opportunities to eliminate pokemon, but not being able to ask about generation would lead to more consideration of the questions. Some ideas for other questions: Type of ability (stat lowering, condition immunity, attack boosting, etc) Access to weather (via ability or move) More than 2 weaknesses/super effectiveness Animal/plant the pokemon is based off of (pikachu based on mouse, talonflame based on hawk, etc.)

Or keep it in the theme of the original game and only allow questions about appearances or directly observable qualities: Does it have wings? Does it have 4 legs? Does it have more than one form? Does it's typing ever change during evolution? Is it standing? Is it floating in a battle? Is it fully evolved? Is it blue? This would still allow for some of the flexible "eliminate many pokemon" questions, but they'd be a bit different at least: Is it taller than X? Is it over X kg/lb?

I would had preferred if asking “is the pokemon from gen 5?” Would had only be done once. Unique questions should be a must.

i would say limit of 2. 1 for for gen 5 and above and 1 for gen 5 and below. 1 can be subbed for is this pokemon from gen X in case a box wildly spawned a huge number of those. but still the limit is 2.

I think itd be more fun if the opponent got it right, they could only choose from what remains on the board after the questions, encourages the opponent to make an answer sooner over having more information on the pokemon you chose

You should do this again, but once a question is asked it can't be asked again. So if one of you asks is your pokemon from this gen or below then neither of you can ask that question

Random fun fact, the paradox forms of the legendary beasts and sword are not considered legendary or legendary paradox, but just as paradox pokemon. Meaning that depending on how you choose to classify paradox pokemon, they technically aren't legendary.

do this again, but no repeated questions, and same with variations of the questions. so if you ask if its gen 4 or under you cant ask if its gen 3 and under. that was a bit boring ngl
