1988. First, and only time I drove out to California from Ohio. Playing La Mirada by myself, about hole 3 this young kid and his friend ask if they can join me. I said yes, and I was amazed how far he could throw. We get to hole 9, at that time it was a downhill 300' hole. I launch my rings and wings Roc on hyzer, half way there the kid says that's in. He was right, my only ace in California. He had to leave before the round was done, but I found out later that I was playing with Steve Valencia. He was really good even at that age.

Funny that you say that... the same year I rode my bike from Canada to LA, and I was in the gym doing some heavy sets Some Austrian guy was spotting me, said he was there filming a movie called 'Twins', and that I should take his spot since I was "way more genetically gifted". Years later I watched the film and sure enough there he was! Can't believe I met a guy that was in a movie with Danny DeVito.

he was on lead card at wintertime with Mcbeth back in 2020 and is the under 18 distance holder. He is also one of the coolest guys i've ever met playing the sport

In South Africa we call those purple trees “Jacaranda Trees”. The purple flowers comes out ones a year.

Idea for a video if not done yet. Called a Shamble. Everyone drives. Best shot is taken but after that everyone plays their own discs. Would be best on courses with par 4’s but would work on 3’s as your putts would be own your own. Low score wins or do group score.

The scores consistently come like .5 seconds too early. It always spoils the putt especially when it pops up right when the 1st guy is putting. Can’t you just put the score on right when the putt is made?

That question "what advantages do you think you have knowing their game" is so pointless.... They respond "sticking to my distance" if you are going to continue to ask that question you'll have to explain what that means. If a new player stumbles upon this video. It makes zero sense. If i "know someone elses game" it wouldnt change how i play any course.
