I almost completely disagree with this list however I'm really happy to see some different opinions, the metallica fandom is full of 50+ year olds that share the exact same braincell turning them into a circlejerk hivemind (you can see them multiply on the comments here in real time lol). Yeah the other 2 guys choices were fine apart from the hate for Load album, but Nood really spoiled the whole ratings. His rankings were really weird. Appalling music taste.
imo your top 20 is correct, and i agree that st anger is not THAT bad, i just think you could give 72 seasons a bit more attention. Sure, it doesn't have the legendary solos that the classic ones does, but some of the riffs are simple but amazing. Maybe you didn't take the time to love it enough, but great work nevertheless
I do agree that some of the riffs are amazing, but most of the time the really good riffs don’t last that long. Room of mirrors has a fantastic ending riff, but it only lasts for like 30 seconds

Sure, maybe we like a lot of their faster songs, but its not what necessarily defined the ranking.

Yeag this guys on crack, literally i disagree with most everyhting. But yeah you mus burn being that high on the list is flat out wrong, it has one of gnarliest riffs in metallica history for the last half of that song. Great song, certainly not the worst of the album, that goes to room of mirrors.
We just found them boring, at least st. Anger is more interesting. Once you listen to it enough and get used to the snare some songs are okay imo, such as Some Kind of Monster or Invisible Kid, but Load and 72 Seasons we found just dont compare to some of Metallica's other stuff.
St Anger has some good songs, but it's the worst album production ever. You have to dig past the horrible drums in order to trully appreciate the songs. I stil can't. Waiting for a remastered version.

MY PERSONAL OPINION is that 72 seasons as an album is definitely better than the 2000-2018 era Metallica I would say it’s tied with the black album behind the classics such as AJFA RTL MASTER OF PUPPETS AND KILL EM ALL
I understand why you think that, but personally I love Death magnetic, enjoy st. anger, and like about 5 songs on hardwired, and 72 seasons just doesn't rly have a special place for me. It just seems eh. But that's just my opinion, and I respect yours
I feel like Hardwired, Kill 'Em All, even Ride the Lightning got shafted badly. Even 72 seasons is a solid album, it just feels like a weaker Hardwired honestly. Spit out the Bone is a master piece though
I feel like every ranking list should be taken with a pinch of salt because these are based on personal opinion and different people like different things

Yeah St. Anger is definitely one that we all used to hate, but now half of the songs we can at least appreciate a but so we put them higher. I understand why you'd put it at the bottom though, I only rly started liking it a few months ago

What's funny is I didn't even think it would be controversial, we just listened to the songs, ranked them by how they sound (one of us has listened to the band for years while the other 2 of us only about 6 months), and that was it. Didn't realise people love Load so much

@@hahnoce imo MoP is a great album, and its top 5 songs are some of the best in metallica, however I personally enjoy some St Anger songs quite a lot as well, so there was some overlap there. Definitely MoP is better than St Anger, but yeah, I get why you find it so shocking lol. I definitely still enjoy even the lower ranked songs on the list, just some more than others.
Both are my fault mostly, anasthesia is a bass solo, yeah its cool and all, but its not something I could enjoy listening to, its not rly a "song". Orion I ranked hella low cause I just cant see how its so special. The guitar tone on the solos sounds like a shitty synth and it annoys me. You can disagree, but thats just my opinion.
Here in Québec, it's Where ever I may Roam that is still playing at the radio in a sunny day, full gaz! Or Nothing Else Matters. The black album is the most easy to listen to. Everything before sound harsh and thin, and after it does sound country or "has been".
C'mon bro why Bleeding Me that low? I guess Load is super hated but if you ever fall into a low point in life, a bunch of songs from Load especially Bleeding Me just feels amazing to listen to, not everyone understands the feeling the album gives. It's cool to see a pretty different opinion from your average Metallica fan but I hope one day you can give Load a chance.
I would probably get dragged into a alley and beaten to death with a blunt object if I said this at a concert or something. Load Reload are great albums and St anger has good songs with shitty production.
Insane list. Not a single song from 72 Seasons, Master of Puppets, AJFA, Ride The Lightning, Kill em All, Death Magnetic, or even the Black album deserves to be ranked lower than anything from Hardwired, Load, Re-Load or St Anger. Those 3 albums including the majority of the songs are in a class all their own with a few exceptions. I actually like Hero of the day off of Load and the Unforgiven II off of re-load but that's about it. Cliff Burton is rolling in his grave right now! Yeah I'm one of those 50 something year olds....

man pyth has got some whack ass opinions, so many good songs are at the bottom of his list and some very bad ones all the way at the top, other two were normal, I wanna see a list with just the two of yours (nood and brad) averaged to get a better list
Honestly I think its a good, energetic song, i had it at 50th which I thought was more reasonable, however the other 2 guys hated the song so it got dragged down
We couldn't see what all the hype was about, maybe if we listen more then we'll like it, but the slow hardwired-load fusion of the whole album just isnt a fav

@@47noodles Exactly. It's possibly their worst arranged album apart from St. Anger, the definition of riff salad. Just riff, after riff, after riff with no connection at all and almost every song on that album falls apart after 4-5 minutes.
I’m a hip hop head that dabbles in metal here and there. I guess a certain demographic of Metallica’s fan base can’t handle the occasional hot take. Props to you guys for still keeping this video up!
Many hours of listening and ranking songs in each album into tiers, then going through and listening to it all in a playlist to ensure it fits our opinion. We tracked the whole thing on a spreadsheet, then once we had all ranked it, we averaged out each song's ranking, then ranked the averages, which is this ranking. Making the video was just hours of tedious editing and copying numbers lol but eventually we made it through
