OMGosh, my collection was #3 (Large one) and I wanted to say thank you very much. Your criticisms were not undeserved and all taken in good fun. To answer the questions 1. I played Agricola one time and went, no thank you which is why I don't own it 2. A game enters my collection as soon as it hits the front door 3. I would estimate 65-70% of my collection is still in wrap. I know that sounds goofy but its part collector mindset and part "Far more money than time" plus I have a pretty sizable collection of friends who purchase board games so I play their copies instead of mine. But I do really want to start opening up some of these games and I will...someday. 4. The "Rice Crispies" box beside my Legendary collections is actually a Loot Crate box (they were created so you could turn them inside out and display them) holding a small collection of CCG's from the early 90's like Heresy, Star Wars, Star Trek and Harry Potter. 5. And the oldest game still in shrink is Alien Contact (48.42 in video) which was produced and purchased in 1983 6. Spawn.com is a Dark Ages Spawn MIni (I own the entire set) 7. Viticulture is not in shrink, its one of my go to games. Thank you again, I love these series of videos and I have an idea for video. Games you don't own but really would like to. I have a list of like 20 games I would love to own (Obsession, Bloody Inn just to name a few) and I am always interested in why people who commonly purchase board games don't have a copy of some of the ones they like. Oh and Upon a Salty Ocean, while not a bad game, isn't my top shelf favorite. Xia Legends of the Drift is my favorite but it got moved over due to stacking physics.

Love this series! I do prefer the format where you're sitting together at a table though, rather than the Zoom vibe here.

Great to see this back! Good to have a 3rd opinion too. I don’t have a preference on format but I think you either all have to be in the room or all remote (not two in a room and one remote, for example). The best format is whichever means you’ll make more of these episodes. 😉

I’m all for the zoom format for something like this, as you get the true reactions to seeing some of these for the first time. Really enjoyed it.

My Response! I was collection #5 and to answer some questions: 1. I do sell Knizia games! The closest one of his games came to entering my collection was L.L.A.M.A. But otherwise his games that I’d like are just in genres that I either don’t like OR am swamped with. I like big pretty boards and not so much card games! 2. Uwe… Agricola existed in my home, briefly, but it was actually mine. I despise the art on most of his games! I know! What’s wrong with me!? But I love euros so I’ll probably like his games (I have not played any of his big games! AYCB must teach me) 3. The black bars: yep bands for game boxes. Your Splendor comment is dead on! They do not look good… but the other option kills my soul more. 4. Gap beside Brew has Azul Mini in it (more games were added recently) and the expansion boxes are tucked in the back (Abyss) 5. The “yoda head thing” lol those are Dinosaur Dice Meeples! I gave them to my wife so that she could be more represented in board games! (She’s basically a human T-Rex, so we needed to have her represented in our games more). There are 2 sets of 5 distinct Dino dice meeples 6. Quarriors… any human that owns that version, knows EXACTLY why it lies FLAT! 7. Jenga - that is extremely special. For our wedding day, we had guests sign different pieces and sides of a Jenga game. We keep the pieces exposed like that so we can constantly see our wedding guests’ names! The top block was signed by her grandfather (that’s important because of circumstances around the time) 8. I have certainly listened to your comparison video regarding Ares exposition… and Ares is just prettier lol. 9. The ion thing - it’s Pax Viking (hard to read, I know) 10. Outlive is great!! Mike knows what’s up! I got it used from the Steinbach area too. 11. Pandemics… like cancers, are everywhere lol. The big anniversary kit will hang on a wall, the 2 down away from everything are expansions (I hide expansions over there), and Cthulhu… well you actually need to figure out HOW I sorted my games to get why it’s there (it’s by game mechanics or style lol). Legacy just didn’t bloody fit anywhere… 12. Michigan rummy… what to do with your wife’s old random game stuff… the answer? Stuff them out of the general line of sight lol. Those shelves are over 7 feet tall so can’t really see it normally. 13. Games missing from images: Port Royal, Fluxx, Compounded, Azul Mini, Blood Rage, Tapestry, Rolling Heights, Steampunk Rally Fusion, Tiny Epic Vikings. (Also a pile of Keyforge inside the purple/gold foil box on the top right)

Hahaha! Wonderful to see our selection on here - I know I would get roasted for the vertical/horizontal organisation. Since sending the pics we have added around 30 games. To answer some of your questions: 1) The sticky notes are, indeed, unplayed games. Charterstone being the oldest unplayed one. We got it on sale one year and have never tried it . 2) The dumpster fire in the bottom is all small games; the boxes are a temporary holding place until Ikea up here gets more drawers so we can organise them in there. 3) 7 Wonders has since been moved in front of Alma Mater 4) Draumeyjan is a “self help” game from Iceland that everyone bought; Meistari völundarhussins is the Icelandic version of the original Labyrinth 5) Smelly Wellies is our son’s budding game collection - now with 5 more games. 6) The basket is full of different plastic bags for organisation 7) Wayfarers are both a different size and a different trilogy 👌🏻

Seeing the first collection really resonated with me as I'm also very anti-gap. I've even made a program with my partner to sort all of our games based on the width to make sure we don't have gaps haha. It also sorts them by weight (which is the definite superior way of sorting, try it and you wont regret I promise ;))

Green screens will make it easy to toss a board game related theme behind each of you easily. Then you won't have to make your beds 😅
