There is a hole in the office now. A void that needs to be filled. After sifting through hundreds of applications, we found the perfect replacement. A pet. A new office pet would brighten things us and make the office feel homey again. There is not possibly way that this could be a bad decision right?

Brett no. You are NEVER going to get rid of those fruit flies. They will be in that warehouse until the day it's torn down. My dad used to keep tree frogs, and he had to also keep fruit flies to feed them, and for about 5 years after he got rid of the frogs, until we moved out of the house, there were still fruit flies.

I wrote a tip with a cup, vinegar, honey, plastic foil with holes and a rubber band. That helped a ton when I had a medium fruitfly invasion cause of tossed out fruits in a trashbag that I kept too long.

@Boob I think it's interesting how I used to see people shit talking Trevor (and Joe) while they were still on the channel. They'd talk about how autistic and annoying Trevor was, or how stupid Joe acted. But then, once they were gone, people acted like it was the most devastating thing in the world to them. You'd never see comments celebrating their departure. That comes off as really two-faced to me. Anyway, I don't know what the point of me saying all that was. I just think some of the fans CC's had in the past are kind of whack.

@@MrCrasherdog not really fruit flies die because after they reproduce their bodies are finished and besides with no food available the flies will die anyways, and the vinegaroon wouldn't move an inch because it'll probably be defensively in a corner and spray to protect itself, and the mantis wouldn't be able to get far, plus the crickets are in a plastic bin with a sometimes hard to open lid

@@reptiguy1645 keyword: with no food available. i'm sure that offices has food and microcrumbs EVERYWHERE.... even if you think you got it all, they can find it, and they don't need an entire loaf of bread, a few crumbs would do more than likely. i still don't know much about bugs but I know when you have food everywhere, like cow chop warehouse probs does, that's just breeding grounds for more.

It's kinda funny watching them squirm with the crickets, because at the moment I work at a petstore where I bag crickets daily, whether throughout the day or pre bagging about 300 in the morning and cleaning the cage. At first it is uncomfortable to even look at them, but eventually you just feel numb to their presence

Aleks mentioned that he had put a praying mantis or whatever with 10 crickets so that he could feed those crickets to the praying mantis but the mantis ended up getting eaten instead. Brave Wilderness did a great episode with vinegaroons. It's one of the more docile and gentle members of the arachnida family, and while it looks extremely threatening, it's also completely harmless to humans aside from the unpleasant vinegar odour.
