I think you should use Ohtani but only as a pitcher so you can have pitching missions. And when he is hitting, he will just count as a normal player that is not Mike Trout. If you are going to add Ohtani, you should change the name to Angels in the Outfield. And is Derick Fisher in the game? If so, you should use him if he is a common.

You should do it where ohtani determines all upgrades for the rotation and bullpen. Then you can do pitching upgrades for the bullpen and rotation based on how shohei does. The trout upgrades and ohtani upgrades should get you different things is basically what I’m saying.
Get Eric Haase cause he has 107 power agents lefty, Jake Brent for the bullpen cause he has 91 h/9, Justin Upton cause he has good power for a bronze, and for like goal Chris Rodriguez cause he has a lot of pitches (also I think the Ohtani part would be fine)

Koogs, I heard you talking about the in play camera on the inside the show podcast. Try broadcast view and see if that helps, it gives you a wider look at the ball paths and routes for your players.
What I think you should do is do the same things with trout that you would do with ohtani but make ohtani upgrades and downgrades with the pitching only and Mike trout the offense only with upgrades and downgrades

Put Otahni in the rotation. Any Trout/linuep stats go towards upgrading the lineup. Use Otahni upgrades and different metrics for pitchers to dictate upgrades/downgrades for the rotation.

You should have a tier of commons, like you do with the diamond tiers. To answer the question about downgrading commons. You can start with your high ones, but then have to go to a sub 59 if you have a common downgrade.
Upgrades: Gary Sanchez, he has some pop, Marcell Ozuna who is just a good player ON the field, and Sixto Sanchez he has some nasty stuff. Like goal: Lamonte Wade he has wheels and he has 85 power against Lefties Also don’t love the Ohtani thing but I can deal with it
you should do upgrade on the hitters base on mike trout, and the pitchers get upgrades base on othani's performance, they're both leaders responsible for their division
If you use Ohtani have Ohtani upgrades only upgrade pitching and have trout upgrades only upgrade hitting. Another suggestion is to have another series with Ohtani and Ohtani only
