Thanks for sharing! Not all wet carbon is built the same. These v2.5 are vacuum infused for the best fitment without going too deep into the pocket :) And wish you a speedy full recovery!
If you are trying for as much air flow as possible, why put the emblem back on? I know it is carbon fiber and the car may look odd w/o an emblem, but at this point, there is an emblem on the back if ppl want to see what brand the car is (if they don't know already). I would have left the new grill naked. Maybe get a vinyl sticker of the Pleiades cluster and plop in the top of the bumper just in front of the hood (or one for each mirror). Again, grill looks nice naked.
I actually touch on this at one point in the video. There's frame brace exactly in the center where the emblem lines up so the air flow in the exact middle is actually blocked anyways. I see what you're saying though
With how much more open the new grill is compared to stock, is air able to flow through the top of your FMIC as well? I looked at my stock grill and about 1/5 of it is covered by the lower plastic design on the OE grill.
@@WRXGarage Just got mine in! can you recall if the screws supplied are a little wider than the mounting holes on the grill? Seems like it doesn't screw in smoothly, and might crack the actual carbon.
