The dude that stopped Syd is a top chef for Chef Terry’s restaurant. He was training in episode one with Carmy and Luca with the peas. Also made that fancy deep dish pizza dish in season 2 in the Forks episode.
Listen closer to Claire's monologue. she was talking about how pain can be delayed - for whatever reason. and a lot of things happen in the meantime - the injured girl was laughing after surgery because she couldn't feel the pain yet. she didn't know how bad it was. Claire knows Carmy is walking through life ** not dealing with things** - he doesn't allow himself to feel the hurt yet. The scene wasn't just filler. It's really the theme of the whole thing.
Adam Shapiro was the CDC of Ever, the restaurant where Richie staged last season. He's the chef who yelled at the front of house staff about the smudge plate and ended his rant with, "Now get back to work. Fuck you, Garrett!" to which Garrett responded, "Yes, chef. Fuck me."
That was Josh hartnett who was playing the guy who is marrying his ex wife that whole convo was so awkward I liked seeing more ritchies personal life seeing his relationship with his daughter great reaction guys
Regarding the story that Claire was telling Carmy...I think that's stress-induced analgesia. Essentially, our bodies can temporarily reduce our sensitivity to pain if we experience a severe injury/trauma like the one Claire was describing (which made me cry, anyone else?). I remember having a similar reaction to you guys when I first learned about this years ago. There was a story on the news with footage of a woman who had been stabbed and had a knife somewhere on her back; she was standing around like she was waiting in line at the grocery store.
I agree Bryce, you should give every customer the same experience. the issue is probably that a reviewer has already come when they weren't at their best, so they may have already written the review before The Bear really had time to adjust or correct things.
But also it's normal for them to sort of have access to "better" that they wanted to be able to make sure to "turn on" when the reviewer is there. It's a tricky thing to convey what I and Rob (I think) mean. The "surprise" thing is part of it, but just in general, there are ways of serving a customer that would possibly be unrealistic(? unsustainable?) to expect from everybody every single night, but maybe what I'm referring to is exactly how they'd become truly excellent long term...
I’m just gonna say it: Claire is my beloved. They can never make me hate her. In fact, I never hated her. She’s always been nice and kind. People (some people in the fandom) really need to get a grip and give her a break. She’s been nothing but a sweetheart. She doesn’t deserve all the hate she gets. Carmy just wasn’t ready to be in a relationship. It wasn’t the right time for him. He needs therapy. That’s all I have to say. Also, this is probably the weakest and my least favorite episode of the whole show, but it’s still pretty good. This show is just so good in general so I can’t dislike this episode lol anyway- keep it up :)
shes a manic pixie dreamgirl character that wasn't very developed, so i think people hate how the writing and the chemistry just didnt fit. she was just there to further carmy's plot, not because the writers took time to develop her
What’s the point of leaving a comment like this? I’m genuinely asking because their channel is very obviously the three of them reacting. If you don’t like one of them, I doubt you’d enjoy the rest of their content. I’m pretty sure the “tweaks” you’re referring to are Tourette’s, which causes involuntary tics PS: it takes 0 effort to not leave an unnecessarily rude and ignorant comment
