I grew up in the church, but it was not until college where I experienced God for myself. Being abstinent is not easy at all, and sometimes I feel like no one understands me except my parents because their relationship is my example. Sometimes, not only is it the people of my era telling me, in other words to settle, but older mentors disagree with my "why I am and still have been single". I believe in my heart my next boyfriend will be my husband. I choose to date with a purpose, and if I know that a guy is not going or even willing to go in the same direction as I am, why waste my time romantically? Or, am I wrong? Moreover, thank you both so much for sharing your story. Thank you for being obedient to God's calling on your life for this is a blessing to others. Blessings to you both on a longevity, prosperous, and happy relationship. This was absolutely beautiful.

Yes we got it sisters! Where we are weak God is our strength and there is so much peace associated to being obedient to God. Celibacy for me is not only to one day have a spouse(not even sure if it's even my desire) but to grow my intimacy with the Lord. To be the temple He refers to in Romans 12, not only in spirit but also in my body, soul and mind. To live in the resurrection of Christ where my flesh desires are crucified on the cross. May your obedience be part of your seeking of the kingdom of God and all that God had purposed for your life will be added. Lets hold on to our virginity/sexual intercourse intentionally so the Lord gets all the glory be it in our call for singleness or in marriage. Love you sisters and I hope we will hold on through the ordering of the Lord till the end❤❤❤❤

Deary, I was single until I got married at 29 years. I couldn't bring myself to date for just date. My only purpose for dating was to get married to him. I didn't find this. In fact having my rules stuck to 'until our wedding night's saved me from wolves. My last relationship before I got married opened my eyes to why God asked us to wait until we got married. I escaped hitching with one of the worst Man I have ever met.... Not to get too detailed. All he wanted was to get me pregnant before knowing that everything that I knew about him were lies. God saved me. Today I am more than happily married to the best man ever. Mind you I am heavily flawed but my husband, chose by himself to make up for every single bit of my flaws that people think I am such a perfect wife, meanwhile my husband is the perfect man. God rules are for our benefit. You will see how good, things will be when God brings him.
