when they got the prom to be inclusive I thought in my head "oh, how short is this movie." and then I saw that there was more than half of the movie left I realized that I was about to use a lot of tissue.
Only Mr. Ryan Murphy could pull this off. I went to the theater to see the movie and was blown away by it all. The colors, the songs, the choreography and the "bigness" of it all was just perfect. Only Ryan Murphy could have done this.
Thanks so much for doing this. I feel badly for james corden. He didn't receive good reviews because people think you need to be gay to play a gay part. I think that should not matter. Whoever plays the part the best should play the part. What about will and grace! End of story
@@WilliamMaslow awe! Thanks for your reply. Did you happen to see him sing the paul McCartney song about covid? So good. Also he did a duet with kylie minogue, only you. I think he's funny too. But it's ok. Lots of people don't care for him.
I think it’s ok for some gay characters to be played by straight men, but the character of Barry was created around the real life actor Brooks Askmanskas, who originated/created the role in the stage production. Brooks is an out gay man and the character of Barry is very flamboyant and at times stereotypical, and his being gay is a central part of his character, so I feel as though it’s not right for a straight man to play Barry.
JAMES CORDEN did amazing I don’t care what anybody says. He did way better than I expected him. I don’t know why people give him so much hate and He deserves better for at least going out of his comfort zone and doing musical theater. GOOD JOB JAMES
James is a very likeable guy Myra and he's a great presenter/actor usually but his depiction of the character is offensive to the gay community and that HAS to be called out. In fact I thought he wasn't right for that part at all.
I saw the show on Broadway and watched the movie twice today on Netflix. The additions of things like the flashbacks only enhance the experience. Ryan Murphy did a perfect job transitioning this show for the screen! To say I loved it is an understatement!
I really wished they had used the song 'Simply Love' in the actual movie and not just resigned it to the end credits. Its such a beautiful new song and James sings it so well!
Moment's silence for the poor and misguided performance of the usually awesome James Corden. Wonder how much responsibility Ryan Murphy needs to take for that epic fail.
One of the worst movie I have seen this year. I love Meryl, Nicole, most of R Murphy productions. This is however was really unbearably sugary, with mediocre songs, lots of wasted talent. Shame.
