My husbands family has always had naming ceremonies so we got to do one for all 5 of our kids. Such an amazing experience. Congrats again Vaughn and I think the nesting party is a great idea! I live in the suburbs of Chicago now but if you ever need help with anything don’t hesitate to ask love ❤️

Quick loc tip.... my son has locs, has ASD and sensory processing disorder. Especially in he summer, after swimming and water parks, his roots are ALWAYS married together and tangled. Instead of waiting for wash day or a special occasion, make a point to thoroughly rinse is hair,apply oil to his scalp and gently separate the roots. All this to prevent severe tangling and the hair/roots from drying out. No my kid doesn't enjoy it, but it is a quicker process weekly than spending extra time doing a deep detangle when I get around to washing. xoxox

Maybe a little off topic, but I think it would be beneficial for some of you all to maybe take a course or really educate yourselves on Autism/neurotypical development of children. The amount of unsubstantiated and/or unsolicited advice I see in a lot of Vaughn’s comments is disheartening. As an SLP by profession, it is VERY important for us to have some general knowledge on the subject, considering AA children are diagnosed at higher rates, and as AA parents, we are not always aware of the resources that are available. Vaughn…you are such a phenomenal and inspirational mom! Continue to raise awareness and be an advocate for our neurotypical babies!

I just finished watching and I noticed something. ❤Question, you ever think about enrolling Anne in sign language classes? I noticed she uses her hands a lot to communicate and this may be a great way for her to motion expressions that otherwise could be difficult. Also, it could be a way to channel bond over new learning competencies.
