K&B is Katz and Besthoff , named for the pharmacists Gus Katz and Sydney Besthoff, who founded the company. They had THE ABSOLUTE BEST ice cream!!

Great vid guys! I once bought a pair of solid brass sailing ship book ends at a garage sale. I didn't notice until I got home one of the masts were broken. I sold them for scrap for $16. Now I buy brass in any condition, save it up, and make a good profit 2 or 3 times a year. Just another way I learned to turn a buck. I love reselling!

Had to laughter at K&B drugstore basket....they had those stores up there in north Louisiana...My dad would have to hit the K&B drugstore on trips to big city of Shreveport to buy the cheapest beer they had...their own brand or Ballentine beer......

lol the Royal Copenhagen plates in Denmark is a hard sell over 40 kr (6 usd) normal price is 10-20 kr (1-3 usd) a plate even the plate form the 1950´s. but ok i will try to pick some up and put on ebay

I'm telling you, I looked at terapeak for the 1951 and 1944 plates and the sales history is strong on those particular ones. I couldn't believe it either.

Try an eraser on the calculator. If it's pencil lead, a white eraser should work better than most other stuff.

@@shedflips Took about a week but I had it listed higher than $120. My mother in law has an estate sale company (yall might have been to them) and that was one of the baskets she was letting people shop with. She ended up giving it to me but I dont think she realized what it was.

Prime time tag sale season here is the last weekend in May and then June. Then it dies until September for a few weeks. Except this week it's Louisiana hot out there. I'm planning on going out this weekend, but praying the humidity doesn't send my MS off the charts. I will NOT be buying modern Bing & Grondahl plates, no matter how hard someone begs.(LOL)

Be careful listing that Tarot deck. I had one listed that was actually vintage, and it got VERO'ed within a few days of being listed for being inauthentic. It was authentic, but I lost $12 from the purchase price because of it.

I bought collector plates to flip despite the advice you hear not to, which is good advice...however, I sold these plates for almost 5 times the amount I bought them for. They were Red Skelton plates. Most were signed by him, they were all in these really nice cases, most had their COA's, and one person bought them all. I paid $140, sold them for $680. 🎉 She didn't ask for a discount, she didn't even look them over. Paid cash. It was a sweet deal.

"Collector platres are worthless" and I hope everyone keeps believing this as it's probably why I managed to buy 2 lots at (live) auction totalling 75 plates for £13 including commission. All were in perfect condition. First one sold more than covered the total cost. So far over £500 in profit with 75% sold within the first three months. I've about 20 plates left which may hang around for years; but they don't take much space and, coincidentally we sold one today. Not difficult ti pack with right size boxes and a generous wrap of large cell bubble wrap. All have made the trip safely--including a set of six to China ($99.99 plus shipping). They're not something I would buy myself but I know from my late perents' collection that there are certainly buyers out there. There can be a decently strong market for singles to complete sets (or to replace damages).

Like your vids and I learn a lot but I think if you cut your run time down to 20ish minutes you might see lot more click threw rate. 45min - 1hr videos is hard to watch on your phone, on the go. Just food for thought. Thanks for the great content.
