"We're Not Safe Here" is a scary horror short film from CACox97 (Christopher Cox), the creator of "Don't Look Away." For three longtime friends, a camping trip turns into a night of terror and insanity when one of them tells the story of a mysterious creature called La Mimica.
This terrifying tale of fear and paranoia takes inspiration from contemporary classics like The Thing (1982) and modern successes like Among Us. When you don't know what to trust, how long can your sanity survive?

The psychological part of this little film is amazing. Once he starts talking to the lamimica he’s already doomed. If you thought it was a monster what’s the point of speaking to it? He knew it was a monster and he was trying to talk himself out of believing it. Trust me in that situation it would be hard not to speak and talk yourself out thinking you’re in mortal danger/friends are dead

Yeah I’m mad he didn’t catch on to what he said and he didn’t just stay inside. Then it’s like why would you say “we’re not safe here” if you didn’t believe in the story you was telling. Just seems like he ignored all the flags. Then you was able to open the zipper real easy but they couldn’t ? He just didn’t think at all. I would’ve been the only survivor cause I would’ve been in that bitch Chillen til the morning 😭
