As someone who's the same age as you and loves sailing, your videos are so inspiring and beautiful. Keep up the fantastic work.

As an educator I really enjoy little tidbits and learning new things. Love when you guys have short knowledge pieces like what a spinnaker does or the screecher etc. Thanks for that. We always get better when we learn something new. You mentioned wondering what is next, what you want to do with your life. I teach students your age and here is my advice, you're young. You don't have to figure it all out right now. You have years to figure that out. Look for ways to grow, learn new things, meet new people, never burn a bridge because you never know when you may need to cross those paths again, be kind and helpful. Look for how you can impact other people's lives not just what they can do for you and find a purpose. Later on a purpose often is your family, spouse, kids. Before them and even still my purpose has always been to teach, guide and support teens/young adults, helping them find their way into the world. Purpose gives live meaning. Helping people gives them meaning. You have spirit, knowledge, a zest for life. You can use that to teach, encourage and fire up others to live more, do more, experience more etc. Take things one step at a time. You'll be fine. When you're young it seems like you have to figure it all out now like you're rushing from one step to the next but you have tons of time and no need to rush anything.

Dyneema is awesome. I used to make my own hammock suspensions for backpacking. It looks like yours is fairly thick. You should be able to find something smaller than your splicing tool to separate the strands. Push the line together on itself (e.g. hold it between your fingers with maybe a 1/2" or so between them and push your fingers together to make a little bubble) and slip a large sewing needle in. I found the large sewing needle worked great. If you have some fine but sturdy wire you can fold it over to make a hook which can be helpful for grabbing the cut end and pulling it back in on itself. I've made a bunch of Dyneema loops with 7/64" line so you should be able to work out the larger line much faster. For cutting, if you have one, a ceramic knife works wonders and I think it's better than a heat gun.

You and Glory seem to have developed a great friendship and respect for one another. Hope its not just on video. Keep the vids coming. Look forward. I am 80 and really enjoy the youth perspective. Seems like the orcas damage a rudder enough to cause a sinking about once a week. It's almost like they view a long spade rudder like it's a dorsal fin of a rival orca, and go for it. Price of Dyneema must have really gone down!

I loved that scene as it's unusual to get that good lighting at that time of night that gets the foreground and evening background so well. It **is** really awesome that we get to go on this journey with you Jadyn. Thanks for including us on your journey.... I hadn't even thought about how the crossing would be in terms of physical activity for you. That's kind of a bummer really as there's only so much Yoga you can do and it never adds up to snorkling or hiking or exploring on foot. But hopefully the mental and social part of the passage will be good for you. I think it's a challenge at any age but I think like any long small-group journey it will bring something that nothing else really can in experience. Even if it will be difficult some of the time I think at the end you'll be so glad you did it and feel differently about lots of things. At least, this is my experience with leading outdoor expeditions and watching people do crossings on RU-vid.

Might be a good idea to put a weak link clasp on that dyneema bracelet so it will release & not take your hand off if it gets caught or snagged in something.
