@@diddy2612 That's why the fans should use that ticket money to get ahead in their own lives or donate it to charity. At least it will be well spent instead of paying a bunch of.....
When I heard them say he said "I'm not playing a back to back" I'm like what?!! Man Magic, Bird, MJ, Kobe, Dr. J, Kareem, Hakeem and on and on would never have this attitude. This is embarrassing.
what about the careers of D.Rose, Kawhi Leonard, Lonzo ball? They have been held back by their injuries. I think you can be scared of injuries but I do think there are steps to taking care of your body like the way Kenny describes it.
@@kawhi-theking_of_the_north3536 The Inside Guys Will No Longer Be There. Not Sure If Games Will Still Come On TNT Or Not. But Who Cares I Can Watch Games On Many Platforms I'm Here For The Inside The NBA Cast
we get it.. we all are, but the season just started, it's not the end of the season ... save this stuff for the end of the season, it'll be plenty of time for that "im gonna miss them" stuff then... just enjoy seeing them while you still can
Charles Barkley is right on this one. You have him sitting out games and then wanting more money, while you have Americans (everyone all over the world too) working 40, 50, 60 hours a week trying to get by! Athletes sometimes can be the most selfish people. How much money you need?
he is but the Sixers are right also.. they aren't winning shii without Embiid, probably won't win shii with him but definitely won't without him... gotta load manage him, make sure he's healthy for the post season
@@DynastyIcon the season just started though and embiid is the best in the regular season. him not playing will make it very difficult for the sixers to do well and develop as a team
Load Management should also equal to Salary Management. If a player is only playing 50% of their games should also get only 50% of their salaries. And their stat-averages should also be reduce to 50% when it comes to their salary evaluation's. IF THE NBA COULD IMPLEMENT THIS, THIS MADNESS WILL STOP.
If players are not fit to play in the NBA, they should not be playing in the NBA. Great players who play through adversities and great challenges (injuries), because of their passion and love for the games. This is what (we) the fans love to watch and support. Ticket prices does't go down because star player are not playing on that night. Maybe we (the fans) should not be watching on Load Management days.
@@tweakmeup1yeah and then when they retire and limp for the rest of their lives yall be like “it’s just basketball they shouldn’t have ruined their body for a game” yall are clowns
I know you’re talking about my guy Joel Embiid but I wanted to say thank you because I won that contest on NBA on TNT and I won assigned autograph card from Kenny Charles shaq and Ernie and I wanted to thank you guys
He played in the Olympics cause he knows that’s the only sure fire way for him to win something. Hence why he chose Team USA and not France or Cameroon.
I love how Barkley gives props to the emergency services, steel workers and other people working long hours. It's a privilege to play Basketball and earn that crazy money. The least you can do is PLAY!!
@@BeerDude-e5gHater spotted, Lebron is 40 years old in year 22 and expected to still be the 1st or 2nd best player on his team every night. This also considering Lebron has been durable for most of his career and especially in his prime.
During the Bulls 2nd Three Peat Jordan played every single game. 82 games, 3 seasons in a row, plus Playoffs and Finals. John Stockton played 82 games 16 years in a row. Counting Playoffs, two Finals runs, and two Olympics. The old school players were wat tougher than this soft era.
I’ve been watching this show for almost 20 years on and off. I’m really going to miss these guys. I loved Charles Barkley “Steel Worker” analogy by the way. A nod to the blue collar working men/women of America🙂💪.
@@aaronclay4665 Hang on. Are you talking about the old man LeBron that started this trend of sitting games out? The guy that sat out the end of the Lakers season a few seasons ago? Don't be using him as the measuring stick of toughness.
but low key, Jordan EVEN old Jordan wasnt a 7'2 nearly 300lb big with a history of lower body injuries, playing in a NBA with so many more possessions because of the space and pace style of play, while having a usage rate that through the roof, there isn't 1 76er possession that embiid isn't touching the ball if he's in the game, also I think people forget that Embiid was rail skinny until he got his man body and I think that's another thing that contributes to his injury history.
Why don’t they guarantee a certain percentage of their salary (60-70%), then make them earn the rest by playing a set amount of games, else they take a pay cut.
I’m a diehard 76ers fan and I’m 100% with the league on this one. He just signed a max contract extension this offseason and he played in the Olympics and has no new injury and he already missing games and has announced he’s not playing back to back games. He only played like 39 games last season
The thing is as well, him saying before the season that he won't play back to backs means there are now specific games where fans could avoid if they do not want to see the Sixers without Joel Embiid, which does affect revenue, which allows the teams to pay these players. You create your own problems.
If you put the pieces together you can probably figure out who those players are that Wemby was referring to when he said he was disappointed once he met players he admired in the past & now no longer do.
I am a Operating Engineer Local 150 Chicago area. We work rain or shine , hungover etc..All the above. This is why the normal working person hates pro sports. We get the Job Done no matter What.
When you have set the precedent to pay top dollar for playing a smaller number of games per season why not lengthen the career to make more of the same of higher. 😢
Take it all in folks, they'll never be any kind of NBA coverage or entertainment that would even come close to what Inside The NBA has been doing for decades. God bless them!
We're not steel workers? That's exactly why they should play as many games as possible. Basketball isn't as demanding as steel working and it's a privilege to be in the NBA. It's their job and they should show up.
Embeid won his MVP that's all he cared about. What other career can you miss the first day of work? Imagine a NFL player saying "I'm not playing Thursday games "
And this is why this era of ballers couldnt lace players from the 80s and 90s shoes. Embiid has always been soft. Players like Shaq, Hakeem, David Robinson, and Ewing would eat Embiids food!
You can feel however you want to feel about load management, but the amount of physical exertion that goes into regularly practicing, hitting the gym before and after practice along with 82 games + pre and post season games…the tax on the body is real and most certainly comparable to those in a blue collar working environment.
I think that year when they made the NBA basketball players played so much back to back because of a short year that eventually cost Derrick Rose his prime is the catalyst for all this, it didn’t help when Kawhi won the championship doing load management
Joel won the MVP he so desperately wanted already, I don't believe he cares much about playing in the regular season anymore.. he got the individual trophy he wanted.. now he need the Chip 🏆
To play devil's advocate, and I'm not following embid's trajectory, but Brandon Roy was my all time favorite player, who wanted to become great & push the envelope. Championship chasing franchise ended his career way too early bringing him back way too early. Easy for Chuck & shaq to say 'man up', but Broy's arc is also an undeniable thing even if chuck & shaq never experienced it themselves.
There are over 61 million reasons why to play game after game. Manage your "load" with physical and psychological therapists. Pretty sure that 61 million can cover the costs.
As much as Embiid annoys me too....let's not forget he is a 7 footer. There's way more Yao Mings, Ralph Sampsons, Andrew Bynums than Hakeem, Admiral and Shaq. Now Kawhi, that's a whole nother story. 😂😂😂
