Welcome to Mexico City, what a shock! Today we're on a free walking tour in Roma Norte & La Condesa and we're seriously impressed. Click here to explore your creativity and get 2 free months of Premium Membership: skl.sh/danegerandstacey2
We're beyond happy we came to Mexico City - this place is amazing! In saying that, Mexico City is huge and this video and our experience so far is purely based in Roma Norte & La Condesa alone... but it makes sense now why so many people said not to miss this place while we travel in Mexico.
Mexico City has different reports online about the amount of people, but its in the 20 million range, so theres a ridiculous amount of neighbourhoods and less safe areas. We're staying in Roma Norte after doing a lot of research, La Condesa was the other potential option, but we knew we wanted to explore both.
Today we took a free walking tour that luckily explores both Roma Norte and Condesa - 2 incredibly cool and surprising neighbourhoods that feel very safe. We'll be sharing a video soon taking about safety in Mexico and how we felt, along with answering a bunch of other questions.
Here's the link to Skillshare to get 2 free months of Premium Membership: skl.sh/danegerandstacey2
The free walking tour we took through Roma Norte and Condesa is linked below. Of course nothing in this world is free, so it is expected that you tip: www.estacionmexico.com.mx/rom...

The coolest city of this side of world in my humble opinion, for that I love visited many times. The best way for know it, it's take a ride in turibus or capital bus and for move around in metro, metrobus, ecobici, trolley using "tarjeta multimodal". If you like that parks wait to meet another places like: Alameda central in Downtown Bosque de Chapultepec La Mexicana in Santa Fe Parque Bicentenario Tezozomoc Bosque Aragon Parks in Coyoacan, Xochimilco and much more.

Of all the Latin American cities I had ventured into and explored, Mexico City remains and will always be my favorite. I have been here 10x and I keep coming back. It's so underrated and people have this wrong perception that it's super dangerous when really it's all an exaggeration. I ❤ CDMX! 🇲🇽 from 🇵🇭

@@latintrader Pretty sure everybody's got their own thing and specifc travel experiences or preferences that they look for when traveling and yes people naturally do compare and there's nothing super wrong about that. Mexico City is so underrated. Part of the reason(s):Ignorance and Hollywood which typically portray Mexico as a dusty and bloody town when in reality the City is full of nature, diversity, great architecture (ancient, colonial and modern) and LOTS of history with people from all over the world. It goes toe to toe against any other modern or European city and it has more to offer than most of them. It is a gigantic metropolis that seems to be getting more and more attention, this time, for better reasons. Mexico City is a Country within a country, an economic powerhouse and cannot be dismissed.
@DanegerAndStacey
@DanegerAndStacey 4 года назад
Completely agree - highly underrated place!
@franciscosoto8663
@franciscosoto8663 2 года назад
I want it to be dismissed though. Do you really want Mexico City full of Americans like in Cancun? Making everything shitty with their preferences for McDonald’s/Shitty food/drunk college students puking on the streets? Not to mention that all they do out there is bring crime and drug consumption? And then the cartels get more violent cause they’re trying to get their money? Fuck that. I don’t mind other foreigners coming to Mexico City, but Americans have ruined a lot of cities in Mexico.

My dad did his internship at the Hospital General before my brother and I were born. We come from a smaller country further south in the Americas. After 40 years plus we decided to visit the city my parent called home in 1970. We ate, visited museums and castles and pyramids and came across a bunch of lovely Mexican peoples whom made our trip memorable. I have fallen in love with Mexico City. I'm now on the process of planning a trip with my wife and kids so they too can discover the beauty that this Megalopolis offers. Awesome video guys, I'm sure you'll fall in love with the city as well.

I've been living in Mexico City for the past 7 years now, and nothing bad has ever happened to me or to the people I know. Obviously, you have to be cautious like you would be in any big city, but overall, I feel very safe here. Besides that, Mexico City is a great place to visit and it has a lot to offer. It doesn't matter if you're looking for great food, awesome entertainment, really interesting historical sites, fantastic architecture, cultural events, an exciting nightlife scene or friendly and welcoming people, this is the place.

@@SPKLifeStyle2.0 Condesa and Roma Norte are probably the two most interesting neighborhoods in the city if you're looking for a cool city vibe, an artistic scene, great restaurants and cafes, and an urban classy feeling. Mexico is a city of fantasy. Even when Europeans come to Mexico. They are impressed by the historical, artistic and multicultural. Not even the cities of Rome or France gather the history of ancestral ruins, conquerors and revolutions in one place like Mexico City does. If you hire a city guide. The first time. You will understand what foreigners lose. When they only know for themselves. one tenth of the greatness of Mexico. You also save a lot of money. Because the guides know the special places with discount for them.

Go visit the Plaza Rio de Janeiro, you'll get mesmerized by the early 20th century homes around it plus the plaza itself and a magnificent church. I lived close by in my childhood. Incredibly one of my pastimes was walking around all over the city as if I was a tourist. Hi from Texas.

Daneger and Stacey yeah I will for sure, it’s worth the tip to get the inside scoop on a city. , I live in the states, so we’ll see when the travel restrictions get removed it’s been pretty out of control here but seems to be getting better. It seems like most every country south of the USA has been fine so hopefully in the fall I can travel again seems a lot safer in Mexico and Central/South America then the USA so Mexico City I think will be one of the first places I go

My uncle has done business in Mexico City for years. He has sold his business but still goes to visit. Yes. Every country has some dangerous places. My uncle is fluent in Spanish and being Italian he browns easily and blends in well. He loves to visit there but you definitely need to understand not to just take off to parts unknown. There are many parts of Mexico he would never go. He said he would stick out like a sore thumb and it wouldn’t take long for you to get in trouble. So just like anywhere else you really need to know where you’re going. It sounds like you did a lot of pre-planning. Excellent video
